#FOOD: SANTOUKA RAMEN ARRIVES IN TORONTO
So basically, Toronto has Ramen Fever. Yet another Competitor has entered the landscape of Japanese Noodle Shops in the City and based on the recommendation of a friend Laura, who actually has a Ramen Blog named It's Raining Mian, myself and a few of my BFFs decided to give Santouka a try. Luckily enough, the Shop actually was open on New Year's Day and this was the perfect way to cap-off a festive and chilly Holiday.
Santouka, which actually translates to "Mountain-Top Fire", is the first ...
#EDITORSNOTE: MR. WILL, NEW YORK CITY
Don't get me wrong - I love Toronto, but my love affair with New York City has been ongoing for many years now. Life happens and priorities call, so believe it or not, it's been about five years since I've been on vacation. Feeling inspired I decided to take a Daytrip, flying-out this morning. At the break of dawn my friend Keith was ever so kind to come pick me up and we dropped Billy off at the Boarder's for a day.
My day was exhilarating, absorbing the hustle and bustle of the City, ...
#FOOD: MOMOFUKU NOODLE BAR AT SHANGRI LA HOTEL TORONTO
Showcasing a variety of in-market Ontario ingredients, David Chang's Momofuku Noodle Bar just launched in Toronto this past September and has been a Darling among Foodies even long before it opened its large Wooden door at the Shangri La Hotel. Situated at the corner of Adelaide x University, the open-concept Eatery is a Sister to a Restaurant in New York City, of the same name.
Over the past while, the likes of Kenzo Ramen, Sansotei Ramen and also super-popular Kinton Ramen (blogged here ...

#SPOTTED: DEEPA MEHTA IN TORONTO AT WHOLE FOODS
Only in Toronto would something like this happen! Iconic Indo-Canadian Director Deepa Mehta was spotted earlier today of all places doing Groceries with her Husband Producer David Hamilton, at Whole Foods in Yorkville. As I was grinding my Coffee Beans away, I looked-over to see the Toronto Native browsing some Treats and she was more than sweet herself to stop and snap a Photo together.
Mehta, best-known for her Elements Trilogy: Fire, Earth and Water, just made a splash at TIFF 2012 with ...
#FOOD: CAFÉ BOULUD AT FOUR SEASONS HOTEL TORONTO
Elegance. With all eyes on the return of the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, many are more so curious about the Arrival of its Culinary Centerpiece, Café Boulud, the just-launched Toronto Chapter from Michelin-starred Chef, Daniel Boulud. Reuniting with my lovely Friends Tina and Moulann, the Setting was just perfect for an intimate Affair. Romantically-lit, with walls adorned brightly with colurful splashes of Pop Art galore, it leaves an impression not soon to be forgotten.
#FOOD: KINTON RAMEN – FLAVOURFUL NOODLES ON-THE-GO
Following the explosive success of their Guu Izakaya Franchise, Kinton Ramen makes Noodles festive and exciting here in Toronto - giving us an authentic, rich taste of cultural staple in Japan. The Noodle Shop, meant as a quick and affordable option for those on-the-go and if it isn't those delightfully chewy and bouncy Noodles which keep you coming back to the narrow Baldwin Street Establishment, it will that impeccably savoury 20-hour-simmered Soup Base - a balanced Harmony of Fish, ...
STARBUCKS “RED CUPS” ARE BACK!
They're back. If you're a Starbucks Fanatic like myself, you probably look forward greatly to their Red Cups which come out every November, timed for the Holidays. The Cups are no-frills, simplistic and still festive this year - my Grande Cup donned simply with a cute Child thanking their lucky Stars for Starbucks.
New on the Menu this year are gooey Chocolate Caramel Muffins and a newly-designed Frosted Snowman Cookie. Some Stores even have Bear Claw Cookies although I have yet to spot ...
#FOOD: TORONTO’S NEWEST CONFECTIONERY DARLING: “GLORY HOLE DOUGHNUTS”
Indulgence. Never mind its suggestively dubious Name, Glory Hole Doughnuts is some serious goodness. Tucked-away at Queen x Roncesvalles, the Doughnut Shop is all Old School Charm-meets-Modern Hipster Sensibility. I love it.
Inspired Doughnut varieties are irresistible, including the Elvis (Toasted Marshmallow, Banana, Bacon and Peanuts), Black Forest Cake (Cherry and Chocolate Icing), Cookies & Cream, Bread & Butter (topped with buttery Bread Crumbs), Pretzel (Chocolate-dipped, ...
