A jet-set life she lives indeed! Our Queen Margot Robbie between filming Suicide Squad in Toronto this Summer has been taking care of business on both sides of the Atlantic and we caught-up with her yesterday with Fiance Tom Ackerley as they arrived from London to spend some quality time together. Robbie has been hard at work in the leading role of Harley Quinn in the DC Comics Adaptation, filming at all sorts of peculiar hours and despite being high profile, has remained relatively low-key and private despite some of the Set Photos which have surfaced.
We did have the pleasure of meeting Robbie a couple years back in New York at the Met Ball and we were so enamoured by her – just gracious, down-to-earth and beautiful and we’re happy we got to say “hi” quickly again. She’s just as amazing as we remembered, handling the Fan-Paparazzi thing with grace and class. Her hair was no fuss and she wore a breezy, black sheer dress with embroidery.

Toronto time and again has played host to filming on an array of TV Series and REIGN certainly is no exception to the hotbed of talent gracing our City. The historically-based Drama Series now begins filming in its third season, although it is yet to be confirmed when it will be wrapping.
We spotted yesterday one of the Series’ Lead Actors Toby Regbo, who plays King Francis II of France, opposite Adelaide Kane‘s Mary Queen of Scots. Although there appeared to be a bit of a delay after crossing the Border, it seems to have been resolved. Surely Regbo was relieved that we asked for a Selfie, to solidify his case that his reasons for being in Canada were legitimate! Whatever was going on, here appeared to be unphased and was more than nice to stop for a Photo!

Based on the Stephen King Novel about a Time Traveler who goes back in time to try and stop the assassination for Robert J. Kennedy, 11-22-63 has been filming in the Greater Toronto Area this Summer under the guidance of Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland), starring James Franco. In recent weeks, filming has moved to Hamilton and Guelph.
We spotted one of its stars, George MacKay out and about this weekend and although he might be unfamiliar to many, Film Lovers will recognize him from TIFF ’14 Selection, PRIDE which played to a standing ovation. He tells me that he unfortunately couldn’t make it for the Festival last September, while most of his Co-Stars did, but meeting him randomly more than makes up for his absence!
11-22-63 films here through October, so expect to see some its Cast out and about come TIFF! Hulu will be streaming the exciting new Series.

Actress/Model Francesca Eastwood certainly is more than just a pretty face. The daughter of Hollywood Royalty Clint Eastwood, and half-sister to red-hot Scott Eastwood, has been in Toronto this Summer filming NBC‘s HEROES REBORN, in which she has been cast as a Series Regular.
Although details still are tight-lipped about it, we did get an awesome sneak peak at the Series and we can expect even more to come out of Comic-Con in San Diego soon!
See the Teaser:
We spotted Eastwood this weekend out and about with her headphones on but after waving at her, she took notice and was super-nice to stop for a Photo. She’s incredibly down-to-earth and just stunning! We’re excited to see this burgeoning star’s career take-off!

For a third straight week, it’s a JURASSIC WORLD at the Box Office! Now in its third week out, the Blockbuster still is motoring-on with $54 million from 4,198 theatres for Universal Pictures. By early this week, it will have surpassed the $500 million-mark domestically.
INSIDE OUT after a solid debut last week at number two, repeats the feat again for Disney/Pixar, with $52 million from 4,132 theatres. In two weeks, it has made $181 million already.
TED 2 debuts in third, unable to duplicate the great success of its Predecessor. This Sequel debuts with $33 million from 3,429 theatres for Universal Pictures with a 42% rating on the Tomatometer. Audiences were more partial to it with a B+ CinemaScore. By comparison, TED opened with $54 million in 2012.
MAX opens in fourth with $11 million from 2,882 theatres for Warner Bros. The dog-centric Film starring Toronto’s Robbie Amell, opened to mixed reviews, with a 38% on the Tomatometer, but a much better A CinemaScore from Audiences, which could help in following weeks with word-of-mouth.
DOPE is in seventh spot, performing well in a limited 1,851 theatres with $2.6 million for Open Road Films/Sony Pictures. The Film came out of Sundance with a fair amount of buzz and continues to get publicity from word of mouth.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON in its ninth week out earns $1.5 million from 1,097 theatres for Disney/Marvel. Its tally sits at $452 million thus far.
