Today, Disney+ announced that the new Hulu Original drama series “Furious” will premiere Monday, July 27, 2026 on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada with three episodes, followed by new episodes weekly. Check out first look images now.

From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, “Furious” follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.

The series stars Emmy Rossum, Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy.

“Furious” was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether. Emmy Rossum executive produced for Composition 8, along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman. Brian Kirk executive produced and directed episodes 101 and 102. The series is produced by 20th Television and Searchlight Television.

Today, 20th Century Studios and Imagine Entertainment released a thrilling first look at “Whalefall.”. The epic and emotional survival thriller about one young man’s encounter with a massive sperm whale opens exclusively in theatres October 16, 2026.

The film, which is directed by Brian Duffield and features a screenplay by Brian Duffield & Daniel Kraus based on the book by Daniel Kraus by the same name, stars Austin Abrams, Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, Emily Rudd. Toronto After Dark Film Festival (TADFF) is thrilled to announce the first details of its 19th edition, which will run from October 14th – 18th, 2026 and will feature an exciting expansion in venues and programming. The festival will once again return to the Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre (259 Richmond St. West) in downtown Toronto for its official selections, but will additionally hold screenings at the Canadian Filmmaker’s Distribution Centre (CFMDC)’s CineCycle (129 Spadina Avenue) as part of a new late-night programme that spotlights more esoteric and experimental genre film programming.

Genre fans will have the option of two passes: a CINE-MANAIC PASS (formerly the All-Access Pass), which offers access to tickets for all screenings at Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre, complimentary RUSH tickets, and entry to all public socials, including the return of an official Opening and Closing Night Party; and an ALL NIGHTER CINE-MANIAC PASS (new) which gets you all the previous perks PLUS access to tickets and priority RUSH to the late night programming at the Cinecycle. Brooklyn’s Edgar Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs) will face Montreal’s Steven Butler (38-5-1, 32 KOs) in a 10-round super middleweight showdown. The 29-year-old Puerto Rican power puncher, who began his career with 16 consecutive first-round knockouts, will once again test himself against a dangerous puncher in the 30-year-old Butler, who enters the bout riding a four-fight knockout streak.

Undefeated former super lightweight champion Richardson Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) will take on Ricardo Salas (24-2-2, 18 KOs) in a 12-round welterweight contest. The 28-year-old Brooklyn native will move up to 147 pounds for the first time in his career following a successful defense of his super lightweight title against George Kambosos Jr. at Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden last June.
