Netflix completely is changing the way we see new releases and this Christmas they are set to release David Ayer‘s BRIGHT. The Action-Fantasy from that Director of Suicide Squad sees him reuniting with Will Smith. The Film sees Smith starring as an LAPD Police Officer who teams with a detective Orc (Joel Edgerton) to fight crime in a world inhabited by mythical creatures and humans.

The Film also boasts a star-studded Soundtrack including Bastille, Bebe Rexha, Machine Gun Kelly, Migos, Marshmello and several more.

Australian Actress Lucy Fry is in Toronto today promoting the upcoming Film. She has raised her profile with roles in 2014’s Vampire Academy and Hulu‘s 11.22.63. In Bright, she plays Tikka, an elf who posseses power over a magical. Fry met with Television outlets this morning including Breakfast Television, CP24 Breakfast and The Morning Show, chic in tan and a fresh bob.

Netflix Canada stream BRIGHT Friday, December 22, 2017.

In addition to being a big annual fixture in New York for the past couple years, iHeartRadio‘s Jingle Ball also has become the ultimate music event to take place in Toronto kicking-off the Holidays.  More star-studded than ever, this year’s edition was headlined by the likes of Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Fergie, Fifth Harmony, Noah Cyrus, Cardi B, Post Malone and several more! In addition to musical guests, presenters also included Camren Bicondova (Gotham), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Midnight Sun), Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars) and supermodel Hailey Baldwin.

Running in tandem at its venue Air Canada Centre, the annual CP24 CHUM CHRISTMAS WISH TOY DRIVE took place, doing a bit of good for the community in addition to all its dazzle.

COCO remains atop the Box Office a third consecutive week for Disney with $19 million from 3,748 theatres. Thus far in its domestic run it has grossed a healthy $136 million over three weeks. Expect though for that reign to end next weekend with fellow Disney release STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI with its eyes on the prize.

JUSTICE LEAGUE once again finds itself in second with $9.4 million, a total $211 million thus far over four weeks for Warner Bros.

WONDER is in third this weekend with $9.3 million for eOne Films/Lionsgate Films, just surpassing the $100 million-mark over four weeks.

TIFF ’17 selection THE DISASTER ARTIST expands beautifully to fourth this weekend at 840 theatres across North America for A24 Films/Elevation Pictures. It earns $6.4 million and a total $8 million over two weeks. It comes with strong word of mouth and a 94% on the Tomatometer.

LADY BIRD is in ninth with $3.5 million from 1,557 theatres for A24 Films/Elevation Pictures. It is up to $22 million now in its sixth week out.

JUST GETTING STARTED starring Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones, rounds-out the Top Ten with $3.5 million from 2,161 theatres for Broad Green Pictures. It hasn’t yet opened in Canada. It gets a 10% on the Tomatometer and a C CinemaScore.

Spencer becomes Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson), Fridge turns into Moose Finbar (Kevin Hart), Martha is Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan) and gorgeous Bethany is horrified to find she’s an overweight middle-aged man named Professor Shelly Oberon (Jack Black). They discover what their special skills are in order to survive the game.

Sony Pictures Canada release JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE Friday, December 20, 2017.

Right in time for one this year’s biggest cinematic events, an Exhibit for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is about to land in Toronto. The Pop-Up takes place at Bell Media Headquarters on 277 Queen Street West from DECEMBER 8 – 17, 2017 11-7 PM. The Exhibit closes 3:00 PM on the 13th. There is no charge to attend.

Including life-size replicas of Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, BB-8, The Praetorian Guard and the Executioner First Order Stormtrooper, the experience gives fans also a chance to purchase a special limited edition T-Shirt. A special Photo-Op will be available for Fans with the X-Wing Ship.

Synopsis:
