Prime Video Canada are set to releasehighly anticipated sports original docuseries, FIRST TO THE FINISH, releasing March 25, 2025 on the streaming service. In celebration of this, a special screening was held March 19th at Hotel X Toronto!
FIRST TO THE FINISH was produced by Emmy-winning Boardwalk Pictures (known for Welcome to Wrexham and Cheer), and offers unprecedented access to female drivers and team owners who are breaking barriers competing in the thrilling MX-5 Cup racing series.
First To The Finish stars driver Heather Hadley, rookie Sally Mott, and team owner Shea Holbrook were in attendance as well as Jonathan Applegate, Senior Manager of Mazda Motorsports.

Disney and Pixar’s “Coco 2,” the follow-up to the 2017 Academy Award®-winning feature film “Coco,” is in the works at Pixar Animation Studios. The announcement was made moments ago by CEO Bob Iger during The Walt Disney Company’s annual meeting of shareholders. “While the film is just in the initial stages, we know it will be full of humour, heart and adventure,” said Iger. “And we can’t wait to share more soon.”
“Coco 2” reunites the team behind the original film, including Oscar®-winning director Lee Unkrich (“Coco,” “Toy Story 3”) and co-director Adrian Molina (“Coco”). Oscar-winning producer Mark Nielsen (“Toy Story 4,” “Inside Out 2”) will produce.
Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” introduced Miguel, a 12-year-old with dreams of becoming a musician despite his family’s generations-old ban on music, who ventures to the vibrant Land of the Dead to unlock the real story behind his family history. “Coco” won two Academy Awards for best animated feature and best original song (“Remember Me”). The film also won a Golden Globe® for best motion picture–animated, a BAFTA for best animated film, and critics’ choice awards for best animated feature and best song (“Remember Me”).

Part fast-moving heart-in-the-mouth action-adventure and part twisty-turny whodunnit detective story, Nighsleeper’s storyline is set across a single night when a sleeper train travelling from Glasgow to London is hackjacked sending the train hurtling towards death and destruction.
Leading the fight are Joe Roag (Cole), an off-duty police officer who is a passenger on the train, and Abby Aysgarth (Alexandra Roach), the acting technical director at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). To stop the train, they’ll have to work out exactly who’s behind this. But are they fighting a hostile state, a terrorist organization, or organized crime? Who is the self-styled ‘Driver’ who seems to be one step ahead of their every solution?

Departure continues its celebration of Canadian comedy with the addition of Elvira Kurt, beloved host of the hit game show Spin Off, performing at Comedy Bar, a cornerstone of Canada’s comedy scene and a key Departure Festival venue. Additionally, actor and comedian Jamie Kennedy—known for his roles in the Scream movies, and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment—will join Harland Williams as a special guest for his two shows at The Royal Theatre on May 8th, adding even more star power to Departure’s comedy lineup.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (the Canadian Academy) announced today that Canadian Actress and Creator Lisa Gilroy will host The 2025 Canadian Screen Awards, live from the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto and streaming in its entirety on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on the free CBC Gem streaming service.

Craigdarroch Castle with Percy Hynes White (Victoria, BC) – Stepping into Canada’s most haunted castle, Percy Hynes White is more than familiar with things that go bump in the night. Between evil monsters and ghostly storylines in Wednesday, Percy will step into the dark with Luke and Matthew to investigate the infamous haunting of Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, British Columbia.
Lunenburg Academy with Nikki Roumel (Lunenburg NS) – Teen drama and a little bit of danger is no stranger to Ginny & Georgia’s Nikki Roumel. A Victorian school built on what was once the town’s gallows hill, this paranormal hotspot is filled with the spirits of those executed there, and more. As Nikki steps back into class with Luke and Matthew, they will explore one of Canada’s oldest schools, in one of the country’s first settlements, Lunenburg Academy in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
Fulford Place with Humberly González (Brockville, ON) – Horoscopes read and deadly fortunes told, Tarot’s Humberly González has more than enough fictional experience with the occult. In a house built for one of the wealthiest families in Canada at the time, Humberly will join Luke and Matthew as they investigate the tales of deceit, scandal, and witchcraft at Canada’s very own seance house, historically known as Fulford Place in Brockville, Ontario.
Fort Henry with Jordan Connor (Kingston, ON) – Constantly in battle from being on the wrong side of the tracks in Riverdale, Jordan Connor will have to go back to war for the night as he steps into one of Canada’s most historic landmarks. A military fort filled with tragedy and rage, Jordan will march right into the investigation with Luke and Matthew as they investigate the hauntings of Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario.
Kawartha Settlers’ Village with Krista Nazaire (Bobcaygeon, ON) – Solving mysteries is second nature to Hardy Boys’ Krista Nazaire, but can her fictional skills help her uncover the truth of a real life crime. Dead farmers, possessed bears, and a murderous gay love triangle bring Krista, Luke, and Matthew to investigate one of Canada’s most historically preserved pioneer villages, Kawartha Settlers’ Village in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.
