So will it be #COVERED or #UNCOVERED? Our Friends at H&M had a bit of fun building some hype around the new Spring Collection for David Beckham Bodywear at H&M giving Fans a chance to vote which of two TV Spots, directed by Drive Helmer Nicolas Winding Refn, will premiere during NFL Super BOWL XLVIII tonight. The Collection hit stores late last week.
Although we’re just a few hours away from knowing, let’s enjoy the Teaser:
But the question we really want to know is who the Fashion and British Football Icon is rooting for in the Super Bowl! “I’m on the fence”, Beckham revealed at a Press Junket in support of the Collection at H&M Times Square in New York City.
More on the Collection here.

This certainly ain’t ESPN! In keeping in line with my annual Tradition of picking Super Bowl Winners (because I’m such an Expert on the Sport), I’ve decided to put my Football Expertise to good use again this year.
In past years, my eye for picking Winners has led me accurately to choose the New Orleans Saints (2010), Green Bay Packers (2011), New York Giants (2012) and Baltimore Ravens (2013)! Essentially, I pick Winners based on the Team with the best Outfits … I mean Uniforms!
Hence, upon a quick glance, I would say that the Winner of NFL Super Bowl XLVIII this year will be…
THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS!!!!
Although I reckon that Oddsmakers have pegged the Denver Broncos as the Favourite to win it all this year, I must say that the navy blue and lime green combination absolutely pop on the green grass. First and foremost, I love the fitting on the sleeves which accentuates the Biceps. Secondly, the off-center branding of the word SEAHAWKS on the Jersey itself is rather tasteful, wouldn’t you agree?
Not to take anything away from the Denver Broncos‘ accomplishments because I love Peyton Manning and the Mountains, but Seattle also has brought us some awesome things too like Macklemore and…. Starbucks, making Seattle Seahawks for me, the clear Winner on the Green Carpet tonight at Met Life Stadium!

Dying here. Anna Kendrick quickly is becoming one of my favourite People and in addition to turning heads at the GRAMMY Awards last weekend as a Presenter, now here she is killing us dead with this Mockumentary-esque non-Super Bowl TV Spot for Newcastle Beer. We learn that the Ad was to be made, but they simply didn’t have the money to execute it.
To be honest, I’d never even heard of Newcastle Beer before today… but now I will never forget!
“Am I Beer Commercial-Hot?”, she ponders. “No. But I love a challenge”.
Watch Kendrick‘s Newcastle TV Spot:
Last year’s Budwiser Clydesdales Super Bowl TV Spot had me in tears and although I didn’t cry as hard this time, I still am a mess after seeing what they had to offer us this year. Many of you might remember the running Story in Budweiser‘s Super Bowl TV Ads. A Farmer raised an adorable Clydesdale Pony, but they Pony had to grow-up and achieve his destiny of being a Show Pony. One day their paths crossed again and well… I can’t even retell it without tearing up. Watch it here.
Simply beautiful.
This other TV Spot gives a Hero’s Welcome Home to returning Soldiers and those Budweiser Clydesdales once again play a pivotal role:
The fitting Hashtag #BESTBUDS is being used to promote the TV Spot. I don’t drink Budweiser, but cannot deny they nail it every year. Love it.

“How you ever noticed how in Hollywood Movies the Villains are played by Brits?”.
Jaguar absolutely nails it with this brand new Super Bowl TV Spot to premiere this weekend! The Commercial brings together famous Thespians known for their work as Villains, a soon-to-be-in-Toronto Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong, together in a super-slick minute-long Advertisement for the British luxury Car Maker’s F-Type Coupe.
Wouldn’t you agree this in itself looks much in itself like a big-budget Blockbuster? The Hashtag #GoodToBeBad is being used to promote the Ad on Twitter.

Full House honestly is the gift that just keeps on giving! Just when we thought that Reunion was never going to happen, right in-time for the Super Bowl, Dannon managed to bring the Face of the Yogurt Brand, John Stamos, together with his Co-Stars Bob Saget and Dave Coulier once again. And lucky us, we get to see a little Teaser!
It seems the Yogurt Maker is trying to appeal to Men, playing-up the Bromance angle in its latest Campaign. More on that here.

Beyoncé. Love on Top. Crazy in Love. End of Time. Baby Boy. Single Ladies. A Destiny’s Child Reunion. Halo. An Exploding Guitar. Live Singing. These are some of the things that the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show was comprised of!
Let’s re-live Queen B‘s phenomenal 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show again in full right here.
Michelle Williams is such a Liar. Never believe a word she says again!

Let’s face it. I know little about Football, so every year I hear the words “Super” and “Bowl” my not-so-secretly get excited about one, the famous Halftime Show and what Wardrobe Malfunction/Lipsynching Controversies might occur and two, how entertaining the TV Spots will be!
True to form, Advertisers pull out all the stops to create an impression on us and here are some of the biggest Winners for me this year – in particular the adorable Goat 4 Sale TV Spot from Doritos being the clear winner:
Oreo really stepped it up this year, giving us a raucous ride at the Library, giving the iconic Cookie some much-needed Controversy and Heat Factor:
Taco Bell toes the lines of acceptability, but doesn’t fail to keep it entertaining giving us naughty Seniors going hard. Ke$ha would be proud.
…and only because I love Horses. This Budweiser Spot almost made me cry. Tons of War Horse references here.
Zombie-RomCom Warm Bodies heats-up the Box Office, taking the top spot of the North American Box Office with a stellar $19 million for Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate Films/eOne Films this Super Bowl Weekend. The Montreal-filmed Adaptation of the Isaac Marion Novel, struck a chord with Moviegoers, fulfilling their needs for a February Romance, while also providing laughs amidst the Winter Blahs at once. CinemaScore gave it a B+, while the Critics at Rotten Tomatoes tallied-in at 76% on the Tomatoeter. The Film was made for $30 million from 3,009 theatres, meaning some massive profits for the Studio and the possibility of further installments to come – perhaps an Adaptation of its recently-released Prequel?
Last week’s Champ Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters continues to perform well in second with $9.2 million from 3,375 theatres for Paramount Pictures. In two weeks, it has grossed over $34 million domestically. Worldwide it is on its way to surpassing the $100 million-mark.
Silver Linings Playbook continues to benefit from its Oscars boost, landing in third with $8.1 million. Coincidentally, the RomCom also has a Football theme, tying-in perhaps to the Super Bowl this weekend. It also surpasses the $80 million mark domestically for The Weinstein Co./Alliance Films (eOne Films) and Pundits are forecasting it passing the $100-million mark.
Toronto-filmed Mama continues exceeds all expectations, still a major player at the Box Office after two weeks. The Horror earns $6.7 million in fourth for Universal Pictures/eOne Films, a cumulative total of $53.8 million to date. Jessica Chastain who stars in this and also Zero Dark Thirty, is right behind herself in fifth with $5.3 million, almost surpassing the $80 million-mark domestically.
In sixth is Bullet to the Head with $4.5 million for Warner Bros./eOne Films. The Sylvester Stallone-starring Action Flick didn’t fare as well with Critics, earning 48% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, but Audiences responded fairly well with a B- CinemaScore.
Rounding-out the Top Ten this weekend are Best Picture Contenders and Veterans: Django Unchained, Les Misérables and Lincoln, taking-in $3, $2.41 and $2.4 respectively.
Does the Man make the Suit or does the Suit make the Man? That is the question Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is faced with as his personal world is destroyed and every turn he makes to find who did it, is a true test of strength. In advance of this Sunday’s Super Bowl, Disney has released another new Clip from one of their marquee Titles, Iron Man 3!
Iron Man 3 stars also Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley.
