“Food Porn” Queen Nigella Lawson is currently in Toronto in support of both her latest Book, Nigellissima: Instant Italian Inspiration available via Random House in Canada. The stunning British Food Writer and Television Personality met hundreds of Fans at Indigo – Manulife Centre yesterday, signing copies of her Book and earlier today was at City‘s Breakfast Television cooking-up recipes from it also.
Stunning, even at 7:00 AM, Lawson stepped-out of her Mercedes and was sweet enough to stop for a Photo with me, as she was kept dry under the rain by her Handler.
Lawson also currently can be seen on ABC‘s The Taste, pairing her with Culinary Greats Anthony Bourdain, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey, a Cooking competition all about… you guess it, taste. The Series airs Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST on CTV in Canada.

Let’s face it. I know little about Football, so every year I hear the words “Super” and “Bowl” my not-so-secretly get excited about one, the famous Halftime Show and what Wardrobe Malfunction/Lipsynching Controversies might occur and two, how entertaining the TV Spots will be!
True to form, Advertisers pull out all the stops to create an impression on us and here are some of the biggest Winners for me this year – in particular the adorable Goat 4 Sale TV Spot from Doritos being the clear winner:
Oreo really stepped it up this year, giving us a raucous ride at the Library, giving the iconic Cookie some much-needed Controversy and Heat Factor:
Taco Bell toes the lines of acceptability, but doesn’t fail to keep it entertaining giving us naughty Seniors going hard. Ke$ha would be proud.
…and only because I love Horses. This Budweiser Spot almost made me cry. Tons of War Horse references here.
The 70th annual Golden Globes take place tonight at the Beverly Hilton and I couldn’t be more excited to see who the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will be honouring this fantastic past year of Film and Television.
Previous Golden Globe Winner Tina Fey and Nominee Amy Poehler as we know, will be co-hosting. Fey says, “It’s (Golden Globes) a kind of very sloppy, loud party, and that seemed like our kind of thing.”. LOL Both Funnywomen are nominated this year.
For a peek at what the Stars will be eating that night, they will be feasted with a three-course Meal by Beverly Hilton Executive Chef Suki Sugiura and sipping on 2004 Grand Vintage Moet et Chandon!
Let’s drool together, shall we?:
Appetizers
Grilled Artichoke on Frisee served with Fennel Tomato Lemon Mousse
Kabocha Pumpkin smoked dried Tomato Tart and Pepper Honey
Goat Cheese
Main Course
Smoked Flat Iron Steak and Pacific Sea Bass
Dessert
Cappucino Mousse Cake
NBC airs the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards at 8:00 PM EST.

He’s totally here! Charismatic Chef and TV Personality Guy Fieri is currently in Toronto filming episodes for his hit Food Network Series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and he sure knew where to go, hitting-up Hotspots like The Lakeview earlier in the week and now Caplansky’s in Little Italy earlier today. Onlookers including our trusty Contributor B was right in the thick of it all, getting to see in-person, Fieri’s Camaro donning that famous license plate reading “FLVRTWN”. No City is more flavourful than Toronto. That’s right.
Of course, in addition to business being on the agenda, Fieri also is here to do some good, hosting his Chef’s Challenge for a Cure Fundraiser called in support of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation Friday night at Royal York Hotel. Celebrity Chefs Chuck Hughes, Mark McEwan and Lynn Crawford are among the names to be partaking in the fun. Click here to read more.
