Backstreet Boy‘s AJ McLean was in Toronto yesterday to promote his new Paramount+ Series THE FASHION HERO: A NEW KIND OF BEAUTIFUL. He popped-up at Majesty’s Pleasure for a lil beautification with some lucky Media members. Our invite probably went to Junk Mail!
Synopsis:
Throughout THE FASHION HERO: A NEW KIND OF BEAUTIFUL competition, hosted by AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, 22 diverse contestants from around the world, ranging in ages from 21 to 60, will be guided by brand coaches Candice Abrahams, Linda Mtoba, Trevor Ntombela, and Lana Pienaar. The coaches, representing internationally recognized brands, will each build a team of four, but in the end, only one person will emerge as the face of THE FASHION HERO: A NEW KIND OF BEAUTIFUL, becoming the face of an international brand campaign and taking home prizes valued at more than $50,000! The ground-breaking series premieres Friday, March 31, 2023 on Paramount+ in Canada.

It isn’t a coincidence 16-year-old Actor/Songwriter Baylee Littrell’s name rings a bell. The son of Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell joins his father on the boy band’s largest tour in almost 20 years, the DNA World Tour! The emerging Country act who hails from Georgia, performs songs like Boxes and Don’t Knock It as a supporting act.
Baylee and his father have being doing the rounds and the other day visited Breakfast Television Montreal and while in Toronto, the younger did a live performance and interview with Global’s The Morning Show (National Edition). Fans were out in full support outside the studio cheering on both generations of Littrell.
See some snaps of them arriving:

The DNA World Tour takes place tonight at Scotiabank Arena.

In addition to being a big annual fixture in New York for the past couple years, iHeartRadio‘s Jingle Ball also has become the ultimate music event to take place in Toronto kicking-off the Holidays. He’s definitely our favourite Backstreet Boy! A.J. McLean is in Toronto to promote his latest solo endeavour, his album The Anthem. He has been out and about doing the local TV circuit including appearances at The Social, Canada AM and The Morning Show (National Edition), performing single Live Together.
McLean, whom many believe to be the heart and soul of famed Backstreet Boys, also made a stop-off in Montreal and not too long ago released a line of vapour flavours under his Skulleeroz imprint. Blueberry Pancake and Candy Peach are among his bestsellers. More about that here.
See McLean perform Live Together live on The Morning Show:
Despite being crowded by fans earlier, he made time to stop for Selfies as he head to his next appearance. Although we had our doubts, yes, our love is still strong for McLean!!

After exploding onto the Pop Music scene in the early ’00s, Aaron Carter certainly knows a thing or two about surviving the often cruel Entertainment World. Known best for his Hits Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), That’s How I Beat Shaq and I Want Candy and platinum-selling Albums, the younger Brother of Backsteeet Boy, Nick Carter, for a good duration had an entire demographic of Pre-Teens at his mercy.
After some highs and lows and honest attempts to revive his Career, the Star is now leveraging success on his own terms. And his truest Fans have been loyal and he knows it.
Currently on tour after a successful run with his After Party Tour last year which saw him play smaller club venues across North America, Carter made a quick visit to KISS 92.5 earlier today on the Roz & Mocha Show.
Fans waiting outside in the rain were rewarded as he took a few minutes to stop and say “hi”, graciously thanking everyone individually for waiting for him. He even complimented me on my Cardigan!
Carter plays Lee’s Palace tonight. More details here on how you can get Tickets!

They don’t come much more down-to-earth than these two Guys and Toronto gave two of its favourite Canadians a welcome return home at Scotiabank Theatre tonight. Writer/first-time Director Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express) and Funnyman Seth Rogen both hail originally from Vancouver but have found widespread success south of the Border.
The Duo who have long been Friends and Collaborators, are in-town to promote highly-touted Comedy This is The End, boasting an A-List Cast of Hollywood Heavyweights starring as themselves including: James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Michael Cera, Craig Robinson, Emma Watson, Channing Tatum, Rihanna and several, several more. Set around a wild Party at Franco‘s House, This is the End suddenly places these Celebrities amidst a sudden Apocalypse. Faced with the challenges of having to ration what limited supplies are left in his home, they find their Friendships tested to every possible limit. Tempers flare, daggers are thrown and the laughs are infinite.
Walking an intimate Red Carpet tonight with a few select Media Outlets, the order of the day was Work as both Rogen and Goldberg plowed through a series of Interviews, opting to stay-in for Dinner at the Theatre. They even treated Fans to a Q&A following the Advance Screening, fielding questions from Fans ranging from the Backstreet Boys’ surprise involvement in the Finale to the difficulties of shopping their Script originally. “I wish I could say it was really hard to get the Backstreet Boys, but it wasn’t that hard!”, laughs Rogen. “We released a scene in December and the Backstreet Boys had heard about the Movie and had seen a Trailer for it. Evidently, it was Movie they were excited for and we were all losing our minds!”.
On the challenges the Duo faced shopping their Script, Rogen told the Audience, “We do this thing every time we write a Script thinking we’ve re-invented the wheel, and then we put it out to sell and nobody wants to buy it!”. “We even had all six major Movie Stars attached to it and because the idea we all are playing ourselves, people were terrified”, he says. “I think it’s never been done before and Movie Studios hate to be the first one to do something. It’s happened enough times that whatever scares them, ultimately they will embrace and love in the end!”.
I captured some Clips of Rogen & Goldberg at tonight’s Screening. Watch below:
Rogen was nice enough to sign a Photo which one of my Readers will win! Simply click “like” on this Post at Mr. Will Wong on Facebook to enter. Share on Facebook with your Friends and double those chances! All are welcome to enter. Good luck.
Sony Pictures releases the hilarious This is the End on Friday, June 12, 2013.

20 years, 130 million records, 5 members once again. Backstreet‘s back indeed and the Quintet in its original lineup received their much-deserved Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier today in-time for their 20th Anniversary. With their sights set on a Comeback Disc due later this year, Backstreet Boys – often known just as BSB – reunited in the Studio recently with Swedish Hitmaker Max Martin to begin recording their eighth Album. A couple days ago, they previewed Material for Fans at a Celebration in Hollywood and you can hear some clips below.
Although it remains to be seen whether or not Backstreet really is back for a new generation of Pop Lovers, the Boys embark on their World Tour in May 2013 beginning in China. A Documentary also is due in 2014.

Amazing! Backstreet Boys really are gearing-up for a proper Comeback and all five of them unite for a bit of fun with their take on Viral Craze Harlem Shake, incorporating a bit of Choreography from their Everybody Video. Fun! April 20th marks their 20th Anniversary, to be followed by a World Tour and a brand new Disc later this year.
I was just watching their old Videos the other day too! Miss them.
