Mariah Carey is one of the few musical artists we’ve been loyal to since the start. CAUTION is the Diva’s 15th Studio Disc and perhaps a pinnacle in artistic growth for her. Dark, moody and mysterious, the ten-track Collection sounds ‘now’ (there’s even a reference to Barbra Streisand and A Star is Born on Giving Me Life!), with the comfort of her vocals which are understated here. Her ‘whistle’ register is used sparingly for atmosphere and mood than to punctuate a song and that is refreshing. We see Blockbuster names like Timbaland, Skrillex, Jermaine Dupri and The Stereotypes contributing to production. The Disc magically still is cohesive and a singular experience despite these diverse talents, demonstrating Mariah‘s strong artistic direction.
In a rare move, Mariah has made the album available to listen to completely on YouTube and we are sharing it with you for a listen. The Disc entrances you and we keep hearing new things every time we go through it.
We don’t deny that we miss a more commercial Mariah, but no one can take away her superior catalog of work that we grew-up loving.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada certainly is always at the thick of it when it comes to blockbuster releases and once again they do not disappoint as they unveil their upcoming slate of releases at their annual Holiday Preview.
After the release of Ralph Breaks the Internet, a timeless beloved family movie gets a Sequel in Mary Poppins Returns. Emily Blunt and Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda star in this highly anticipated sequel featuring live-action and a throwback to the original animation style as well.
Coming in 2019, we have two massive Marvel movies coming up, there is Captain Marvel starring the incomparable Brie Larson, which will be the big release that fills the audience in on a major character for Avengers 4.
After Captain Marvel, we wrap-up phase three of the Avengers Saga with Avengers 4. After Thanos’ snap wiped-out half of the Avengers, the remaining Avengers have to stop Thanos and hopefully fix the damage he has done.
Take us to May 2019 and we have the hotly-anticipated Sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: We Still Don’t Know The Title Unfortunately. It is hard to hype-up a movie that made a record-breaking amount of money and has achieved all the success, but we all know that this final entry into phase three will be a game-changer.
Tim Burton is back! Those words excite me more than they should, but Dumbo looks like it is going to be in the vein of typical Burton and that sounds absolutely incredible. The Trailer that dropped earlier last week speaks volumes to how gorgeous this newest Dumbo film will be and the Cast look incredible, it is however Darker but that is stylized like Burton’s other works.
Artemis Fowl based on the best selling book series and Noelle are also coming out in 2019 from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada.
The Sequel to Frozen will also make its debut in late 2019, and that is not even the most shocking Sequel on this list. Toy Story 4 dropped two teaser Trailers, introducing a few new characters to the mix while also bringing back all of our favourite characters. Let me tell you June 21st, I will be sitting in a theatre watching Toy Story 4 multiple times and loving every second of life. Moreover, The Lion King is getting the live-action reboot with Jon Favreau at the helm, and if that doesn’t excite you then I don’t know what will!
Disney also will be releasing the last entry into the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Episode IX. There is literally nothing that needs to be said about this. It will shatter records, it will anger fans, people will cry, everyone is going to see it. Personally, I’m excited for a new saga, but am truly intrigued by how the Skywalker saga will conclude.

The path to stardom has been meteoric for Michael B. Jordan. After an acclaimed breakout role in 2013’s Fruitvale Station, the Los Angeles-based Actor quickly has risen to Hollywood’s top-tier of talent with high-profile roles in critical and commercial successes Creed and Black Panther. In addition to a surprise visit to Toronto to promote his latest effort Creed II, in which he reprises the titular role of boxer Adonis Creed, he also made time to do good for our community. Jordan returns to the City after having filmed HBO‘s Fahrenheit 451 here last year and also having promoted Creed here back in 2015.
MLSE LaunchPad is situated in Toronto’s Moss Park, a collaborative workspace designed to help youth realize their fullest potential through discipline, goal setting and athletic excellence. The 42,000sq ft space just launched its first ever boxing program. Jordan presented a special group of high-achievers who were hyped-up prior by the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Carlton the Bear and the Toronto Raptors’ Raptor, not only a chance to see Creed II first last night courtesy of Warner Bros. Canada, but also a large volume of boxing equipment empowering them to fortify their life and boxing skills. The Venue’s Director of Sports Programming Justin Bobb unveiled the generous donation behind a curtain, from which Jordan appeared as a surprise. He came out, greeted to a room of cheers surrounded by youth rushing to his side for a Photo Op.
See the Trailer for Creed II:
Our David Baldwin had the chance to chat with Jordan about the eagerly-awaited followup to 2015’s Oscar-winning Creed. Jordan, in town for a quick minute met a line of select local Media before heading off to his next destination on the Film’s Press Tour. He was asked what drew him to make such a charitable donation for Toronto’s youth and also about leaving behind his own mark.
Jordan tells us, “I feel awesome doing it. It’s not hard to get me here, they are the future. You invest positivity in them and if we really raise them the right way, we can really change the world. Anything to do with kids, I’m always showing up for.”.
We ask about Jordan and his part in the Rocky legacy. He states, “My and Ryan (Coogler) really wanted to focus on creating Creed’s legacy, we really wanted to focus on him and to have his own franchise. Lucky enough for us we were able to have two movies and hopefully we’ll see more.”.
