Brace yourselves for Michelle Treacy. The Ottawa-born Singer/Songwriter first came to our attention when Lady Gaga brought her on-stage to perform Born This Way on the Montreal leg of her ArtRave Tour last year. Several took notice of her daring fashion sense and natural charisma. After some gigs south of the Border including the very Bar which Lady Gaga once gigged at, The Bitter End, she soon would find herself signed to Sony Music Canada, with worldwide distribution, signing the papers recently at their North York office.
Many will note Treacy is taking a similar approach to that of Lady Gaga in building her foundation and we caught-up with her after a one-song surprise performance at storied Crews & Tangos in Toronto’s Village. She was amazingly nice to stop for a chat afterwards. She tells us her debut Album is nearing completion with a debut Single and additional surprises to come shortly. Treacy was spotted with her BFF, Designer Adrian Wu, both dressed in style. Treacy while in Toronto is known to frequent local Gay Bars and hotspots like Soho House. She was a little famished after some intense dancing tonight and was spotted at Hero Certified Burgers at Church x Wellesley after her gig.
Check out We Want It All:
We loved chatting with her and she even posed for a few Photos, showing off her amazing street style.
Our Snap:
Stay tuned. Treacy is a new Artist we are watching closely!

The Pop Sensation known as Lady Gaga returns to Toronto once again this Wednesday at Air Canada Centre for her Artrave Tour. Since she had a bit of time off, she decided to make her way to Toronto for a bit of relaxation.
Yesterday she was spotted by fans shopping around Yorkville, but today she took a minute to greet fans before boarding her bus to Buffalo for her show tonight at First Niagara Center. Fans, Monsters as she calls them, delighted at the sight of her French Bulldog Puppy, Asia. The near-30-degree weather couldn’t hold Gaga back from dressing warmly, completely unphased by the humidity.
Gaga performed at Ottawa Blues Fest last week and supported Jazz Legend Tony Bennett at the Montreal Jazz Festival last week. She is prepping the release of a Duets Album with Bennett titled Cheek to Cheek after they had great results with a rendition of The Lady is a Tramp on his Duets II Disc. That Album hits stores September 2014.
A new batch of tickets have been released for Lady Gaga‘s Artrave Show Wednesday in case you missed out!

YASSSSSSSSSSSSS! Although it took quite a while for it to surface, this self-directed Video, errr… I mean Artpop Film, is the proper re-introduction the World deserved, to Lady Gaga. After multiple misfires, she certainly took her time and did it right and this Clip for gender-bending new Single G.U.Y. is absolute perfection. Undoubtedly, the best Music Video I’ve seen in quite some time.
Although it poses a challenge to make Music Videos for each individual Track featured in this Montage of Tracks, Gaga gives us a bit of each in this out-of-this-World exploration of Versace, High Fashion, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a god named Andy Cohen and breathtaking Choreography. This is the Lady Gaga we fell in love with and as a huge Fan myself, I feel incredible validation having stood by our Mother Monster. Floored.
Without further ado, you must feast your eyes on this Masterpiece:

Back in 2004 I remember being so totally obsessed with Robert Rodriguez‘s Adaptation of Frank Miller‘s SIN CITY. I had the Poster on my wall and I may have called-in a Sickie at work to watch it. Although it took nine frickin’ years to happen, its long-awaited Sequel is well on its way and just released is the Trailer for SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR!

The Town’s most hard-boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants.

After wowing us hard on the Season Finale of The Voice a couple weeks back, Christina Aguilera headed straight into the studio and delivered some powerhouse additional vocals on Lady Gaga‘s latest Single Do What U Want. Vocals previously were recorded by R. Kelly, but Aguilera‘s lends a real vote of confidence here silencing years of feuding between the two Divas. Hopefully this isn’t too late for a Chart Boost as the Collabo is really what the Track needs!

My World is basically exploding right now!! On tonight’s The Voice Finale, Audiences were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime treat of seeing both Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera take the stage together to perform the former’s current Single Do What U Want.
Both thought to have been feuding since 2009, with some feeling Aguilera had taken perhaps a bit too much inspiration from Gaga on Aguilera‘s then-Single, Keeps Getting Better, those rumours were laid to rest tonight as the Duo were extra-friendly not only singing together, but clinking Champagne Flutes during their performance. Gaga is noted for having apologized publicly to Aguilera for any bad blood, citing that the Genie in a Bottle Singer was a great inspiration to her growing-up. Read more here.
Watch Gaga and Aguilera together:
The Winner of the Reality Singing Competition, now in its fifth season, is 28-year-old Chinese-Jamaican Vocalist, Tessanne Chin who brought the house down with renditions of Whitney Houston‘s I Have Nothing, The Beatles’ Let it Be (with Mentor Adam Levine) and P!nk‘s Try.
It was a great year for Pop Music in 2013. DJ Earworm recaps it best and in what is becoming an annual Pop Tradition, the San Francisco-based Mash-up Artist has just unveiled his United State of Pop 2013 Megamix. And he never disappoints! Although a bit less energetic and a bit darker than previous year’s, this is definitely among his best.

Pitbull had the distinction of hosting the Awards this year. Created in 1973 by Dick Clark, the Awards give Music Lovers and the general Public a chance the decide who wins.
Taylor Swift was the night’s big Winner, winning her 14th AMA tonight including the coveted Artist of the Year Award, her third time winning the Title. Earlier in the evening, she won Favourite Album, Country and Favourite Female Artist, Country.
Lady Gaga ft. R. Kelly wowed audiences with a Marilyn Monroe and JFK-inspired rendition of Do What U Want, while Miley Cyrus had the Audience oddly-mesmerized with her Wrecking Ball Performance with a Space Kitten and Lasers projected behind her. On the verge of a Comeback, TLC had Lil Mama join them onstage for a delivery of their Hit Waterfalls. Is this perhaps a sign of things to come? She certainly fits the voided “L” in TLC.
Much of the Talent looked highly presentable, opting for flattering cuts and proper coverage. The Winners on the Carpet included Miley Cyrus who wore a sophisticated white Versus Versace Pantsuit, Katy Perry who looked cute in an Oscar de la Renta Dress with polka dots and roses – veering more and more towards the demure of late, while Swift looked super-cute in a sparkly and leggy gold Julien MacDonald Mini-Dress. A golden-tanned Nicole Richie was stunning in a hip-revealing, white Emilio Pucci Dress, while Lady Gaga was the clear winner in a violet Versace number, arriving on a white costume horse, navigated by scantily clad men.
At the young age of 25, Rihanna had the distinction of winning the first-ever AMA Icon Award, presented to her by her Mother, Monica. The Mother told her celebrated Daughter, “Tonight I applaud and admire you for being so strong, so positive, so humble and so focussed. A Superstar has descended upon Toronto. Make that a Megastar, actually. Lady Gaga certainly has been to Toronto many a time in her short, storied rise to the top of the Pop World. Other than to tour though, it’s been quite a while since she’s come to promote an Album and now she’s striking while the iron’s hot. Latest Disc ARTPOP is set to sell over 250k copies in its debut with numbers to be finalized midweek, good enough to make her a clear #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart. The Singer/Songwriter/Visionary/Icon in addition to doing various Sitdowns with Media at her Hotel, came to appear at an intimate Media-free Q&A with Fans, sponsored by the VISA Infinite Card at 99 Sudbury tonight. Although a tad late, she eventually made it out to meet a small group of Radio Contest Winners beforehand at the Venue.
We spotted Gaga arriving at her Hotel earlier today after Insiders told us that her initial flight last night was postponed. Rolling-down the window of her SUV, 30-plus Fans who queued as early as yesterday took delight in seeing their Idol stop to greet them. Elegant in a white Cashmere/Wool Coat and jewel-lens Sunglasses – her hair Marilyn-esque – Gaga was a vision of grace, taking-in some well-deserved love and praise from her Admirers which came in the form of gifts, letters, requests for Autographs and Photos. Meeting Fans new and old, Gaga brought smiles as a calm order was maintained with her accommodating Bodyguards.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve tried a record 15 times for my Gaga Moment, tracing all the way back to the Summer of 2008, but after some tough luck and venomous attempts from others to thwart it from happening, the odds certainly were in my favour at long last. I was in Katniss mode. Overcome with emotion and excitement, I expressed my love for Gaga telling her how much this all meant to me and she told me back “I love you, Will!”, before personalizing a couple of my CDs for me. She even wrote that she loved me on my copy of ARTPOP as a constant reminder that my affections are in fact requited. So starstruck, my stomach was unsettled for a good 45 minutes after, paired with frequent reminders to myself by checking my Camera that all that had taken place was not in fact a dream. It really happened.
Lady Gaga‘s Music to me always has been about self-expression, fearlessness – an Ode to the Underdog and those living life off-center under the guise of a fun Pop sound. I have adored her from the start and will always be a Fan.
Not to make this all about me, this certainly was one of the most pleasant Fan experiences I’ve ever had. Gaga‘s Monsters (as her Fans are called affectionately) had a spirit of co-operation and camaraderie among them, offering to take each other’s Photos and kindly moving-out of one another’s way when required. Several who caught wind of my struggle, came over to give me high-fives and hugs in celebration of the moment. I will never forget the feeling of kindness shared by all who partook in the moment. I even got stopped a couple times on the street this weekend by others who read my Blog, sending me well-wishes knowing what this meant to me. The love and support was felt deeply.
