Our girl Michelle Treacy is back with a new Video from her EP High Heels In The MoshPit. Check-out “Hustler Baby” below, an homage to Austin Powers! Psychadelic!

Ottawa-born and Toronto-based Michelle Treacy has been on the verge of a breakthrough for a bit now! After getting a rare chance to duet with Lady Gaga back in 2016 for a piano-side rendition of “Born This Way“, she had a stint with Sony Music Canada releasing a few singles for her. Then she gained nationwide recognition on CTV’s THE LAUNCH and since then has been releasing music independently under Position Music.
Five-track EP HIGH HEELS IN THE MOSHPIT has Treacy exploring a new side of her persona and you really hear her progression as an Artist on this collection of highly-danceable Punk-Pop-Rock. The sound is cinematic in a Tarantino, Psychadelic Woman-on-a-Mission way and she teams with Producers including Grammy-winning Yung Spielburg, Ricardo Temporao and Eraserhood Sound. She lets loose completely on this cohesive set and the earworms are non-stop. At 13 minutes, you’ll find yourself listening on-loop.
“Anything Goes” has Treacy re-introducing herself with a renewed bravado, singing “Bottom to top, I’m everything you want most”. “Precious is the Time” is about feeling good, raising those hands to the sky and the good vibes continue on “It Feels so Good to Be Back“, where Treacy proclaims that she’s “sweeter than a Cinnabon“! Lucky for her, we like sweets.
Whatever dark patches she’d landed on prior, this now is in the past, and she’s ready to have some fun and that’s the message here. “Hustler Baby” has her declaring “Yeah I’ve got it! I’m in St. Tropez wearing high heels in the Moshpit!”, a line so provocative it inspired the title of the EP. The abbreviated collection closes-out with “Love Every Minute” has her re-affirming herself with an edgy sass.

If you listen to Canadian Pop Radio, it’s been impossible to avoid our friend Michelle Treacy‘s debut Single, Armageddon of late. Â Now after a long wait comes the premiere of its Music Video. Gorgeously styled, we’re treated with both hers and her greatest idol, Lady Gaga‘s videos out at the same time!

Brace yourselves for Michelle Treacy. The Ottawa-born Singer/Songwriter first came to our attention when Lady Gaga brought her on-stage to perform Born This Way on the Montreal leg of her ArtRave Tour last year. Several took notice of her daring fashion sense and natural charisma. After some gigs south of the Border including the very Bar which Lady Gaga once gigged at, The Bitter End, she soon would find herself signed to Sony Music Canada, with worldwide distribution, signing the papers recently at their North York office.
Many will note Treacy is taking a similar approach to that of Lady Gaga in building her foundation and we caught-up with her after a one-song surprise performance at storied Crews & Tangos in Toronto’s Village. She was amazingly nice to stop for a chat afterwards.  She tells us her debut Album is nearing completion with a debut Single and additional surprises to come shortly.  Treacy was spotted with her BFF, Designer Adrian Wu, both dressed in style. Treacy while in Toronto is known to frequent local Gay Bars and hotspots like Soho House. She was a little famished after some intense dancing tonight and was spotted at Hero Certified Burgers at Church x Wellesley after her gig.
Check out We Want It All:
We loved chatting with her and she even posed for a few Photos, showing off her amazing street style.
Our Snap:
Stay tuned. Treacy is a new Artist we are watching closely!
