Today, groundbreaking country artist Orville Peck unleashes the irresistible new single “Midnight Ride” — a genre-blurring collaboration with global icon Kylie Minogue and superstar DJ/producer Diplo. Listen HERE via Warner Records. The song premiered during Minogue’s headline set at Out Loud Festival at WeHo Pride on June 2, where Peck appeared as a surprise guest.
Serving as the latest single from Peck’s upcoming Stampede album, the track combines country style, pop hooks, and club beats to create a dance floor-ready disco anthem. Throughout his career, Peck has pushed the boundaries of country music — a mission that continues with “Midnight Ride” and its massive crossover appeal.
“Midnight Ride” is Peck’s first new release since Stampede Vol. 1, the first collection of massive duets he has recorded with Willie Nelson, Elton John, Noah Cyrus, Midland, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Bu Cuaron. Among the tracklist is his cover of “Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other” with Nelson — no doubt a highlight of his Stampede Tour, underway now across North America.
Earlier this week, Peck announced his 6th annual Rodeo, featuring performances from Medium Build, Mickey Guyton, Reyna Roberts, The Nude Party and more, in addition to a headline set from Peck & Tanya Tucker. Hosted by John Waters, the rodeo will take place on August 24 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater, with a kickoff party at Basement East on August 23 and a closing party at Brooklyn Bowl on August 25. Tickets are on sale June 12 — click HERE for more details.
In May, Peck was honored at the 35th GLAAD Media Awards in New York City with the Vito Russo Award, which is presented to a LGBTQ media professional who has made a significant difference in accelerating LGBTQ acceptance. The award solidifies Peck’s rising profile in the ever-evolving music landscape. And now, with “Midnight Ride,” he’s poised to reach a whole new audience.

It takes a lot of work and persistence to be an icon and Kylie Minogue is exactly that. We have been following her career since the late ’80s when she made her debut stateside. Here we are in 2023 and she’s still churning out the hits and giving us innovation in her looks and Music Videos. A true classic Pop Star in the truest sense of the term.
She debuts new single “Tension” and Music Video for it, an ambitious follow-up to her Song of the Summer “Padam Padam“. Sophie Muller directs the Clip. So, so, so good. We are clamouring for this new album.

Kylie Minogue teams-up with Years & Years who gave us that amazing cover of Lady Gaga‘s “Edge of Glory” this Summer! Actually come to think of it, Minogue‘s cover of “Marry the Night” also was pretty amazing!
The pair team-up on new Track “A Second To Midnight” also comes with an official new Video, and it is available on Minogue‘s DISCO: GUEST LIST EDITION, which will be out November 12, 2021 via Universal Music Canada.
The Track nods back to the height of Minogue‘s massive comeback at the turn of the millennium, and you can just see Olly Alexander of Years & Years‘ joy the whole time channeling Minogue as they mirror one another… and even dress as one another!
Other Artists to appear on the re-release are Jessie Ware and Gloria Gaynor (!)

We adore Kylie Minogue. The Australian Dance Diva provided much of our Soundtrack of the early ‘2000s with Classics FEVER and LIGHT YEARS.
While she’s put out several releases since then, we admit we’ve been hit or miss with some misguided veers to the Urban direction and an edgier sound.
New Single DANCING from upcoming 14th Album GOLDEN. This puts her back where we love her best, uplifting, hooky Dance-Pop. Minogue pens along with, Amy Wadge and Sky Adams whose collaborations recently include work with Ed Sheeran on his ÷ Disc.

Kylie Minogue, just how we love her! Two Dance-Pop legends, Giorgio Moroder (Donna Summer, Blondie) + Kylie team together on new Single Right Here, Right Now. Although this sexy Disco isn’t unlike anything we’ve heard before, we do love hearing Kylie connected truly with the Music – the difference between this and some of her more recent work which I’ll be the first to admit hasn’t been on-the-mark, being a true Kylie Fan. She sounds completely at-home and true sign of how a fantastic Producer is capable of bringing out one’s absolute best. Do you believe that Moroder is 74 years old and he will be celebrating this with his new Disc 72 is the New 24, out later this year? The Disc features also Collaborations with Sia, Charli XCX and Britney Spears. We can’t wait!

Feel the burn. You will not be able to take your eyes off your Monitors when watching Kylie Minogue‘s new Video for Sexercize. The Track co-penned by Sia and the Video directed by Will Davidson absolutely sexizzles. I’m pretty sure this is the first time a Kylie Video’s ever come with a Parental Discretion Advisory!
What is Sexercize exactly? We’re still not really sure, but it appears to be a hybrid of Pilates or Yoga + Lady/Lady Action? We’re confused. Still recovering from all the bouncing.

I don’t know how much longer we could’ve waited! After teasing us earlier this year with The-Dream-produced Single Skirt earlier this year, International Pop Queen Kylie Minogue finally unleashes a proper Single! The Track, Into the Blue, is her Debut from Warner Music after many fruitful years under EMI Music and is written by Kelly Sheehan (Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora).
Minogue recently joined the U.K. Edition of The Voice on the urging of will.i.am to record ratings and has spent much of 2013 in the U.S. working on her new Music. She next will mentor on The Voice Australia.
Gorgeous. Uplifting. Empowering. Danceable. Signature Kylie.

It was a memorable year indeed! Join me as I recall some of 2013’s brightest moments in Celebrity, Film and Music with a Toronto twist! As a true Connoisseur of Pop Culture, I certainly was spoiled with several delights this year on all three fronts. Toronto witnessed what could well be the strongest years this City ever has seen in terms of Star Power. Also, as an experienced Digital Photographer of sorts, I am sharing some of my favourite Snaps taken around the City this year too. If you’re a #NOFILTER kinda Guy or Gal, I apologize! A few of them are Horse-related, spending many of my weekends at scenic Woodbine Racetrack, my fave Place since Childhood to escape and recharge from the City. Come Wongsters, let us walk down this luminous Memory Lane together!
TOP TEN SONGS OF 2013
2013 was solid for Pop Music and I was thrilled to hear a return to great, strong melodies. What a year it was for Miley Cyrus who not only wowed us with We Can’t Stop, but slayed us hard with Wrecking Ball! Coming in like a Wrecking Ball she managed to turn all eyes her way in a year which saw Albums released from some Marquee names like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more. Lana Del Rey put us in a state of euphoria this Spring with her chilling Ballad for The Great Gatsby, Young & Beautiful. Flawless and timeless. Mariah Carey and Miguel provided much of the Soundtrack for my early Summer with their gorgeous Collabo #Beautiful, while Robin Thicke undisputedly had the Song of Summer 2013 with Blurred Lines. His Album of the same name easily is my favourite Disc of 2013.
1. Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball
2. Lana Del Rey – Young & Beautitul
3. Mariah Carey ft. Miguel – #Beautiful
4. Justin Timberlake – Mirrors
5. Miley Cyrus – We Can’t Stop
6. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines
7. Capital Cities – Safe and Sound
8. Katy Perry – Roar
9. Icona Pop – I Love It
10. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Same Love
Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball
TOP TEN FILMS OF 2013
I don’t recall a year in recent memory where the Films were quite as strong as this year. It is as if Filmmakers have studied critiques, knew precisely what to avoid and owned it. Time after time I’d make it out to the morning Media Screenings and just when I thought I’d seen my favourite Film of 2013, another would come along and usurp the throne. In all, AIDS Drama Dallas Buyers Club would leave the strongest imprint with Jared Leto touching the core of my soul with his phenomenal performance. 12 Years a Slave left me shaken and speechless and made it really tough to decide a Fave. Saving Mr. Banks truly affected and inspired me, moving me to tears and I could never forget Cate Blanchett‘s empathic portrayal of a Woman battling her own demons in Woody Allen‘s Blue Jasmine. And yes, I really loved Spring Breakers. James Franco is just on another level.
1. Dallas Buyers Club
2. 12 Years a Slave
3. American Hustle
4. Blue Jasmine
5. Saving Mr. Banks
6. Gravity
7. 42
8. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
9. Enough Said
10. Spring Breakers

Recently joining Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation Family, Pop Queen Kylie Minogue is prepping the release of her twelfth Studio Disc and a Lyric Video for her new Track, Skirt, has just surfaced after the Audio leaked online a couple weeks ago. The Track, which pairs her with Co-Writer The-Dream and Producer Nom de Strip somewhat is like Scream & Shout by will.i.am and Britney Spears with its dark, futuristic, Electro flavour – an interesting change after going lighter on Disc Aphrodite in 2010. The Melody is signature Kylie when the Track does get melodic after all the Build-up.
See the Lyric Video below:
With EMI‘s (her former Distributor) acquisition by Universal Music last Fall, it’ll be interesting to see a new energy in Kylie‘s being marketed Stateside, a feat still illusive despite her being a huge, international Megastar. Guessing this is more of a Teaser in advance of what’s the come, but as always we’re excited to hear more from her!
I still don’t believe it’s been a month since I finally met Kylie Minogue by chance in New York City last month! Although I’ve seen her in Concert many times including overseas, she was just everything I hoped she’d be. Sweetheart.
Our Snap, once again:

So you might’ve heard I was in New York City this past week enjoying the Met Gala (see the Photos!) and it was an amazing thrill seeing the Fashions and the Celebrity in-person after admiring them online for many years now. Red Carpets and flashing Cameras are something I vow to never get sick of! Promise. Hoping to visit again next Spring!
Although I did get to meet Met Gala Host Rooney Mara in-person and she was lovely to stop and say “hi” and blow me a kiss, unfortunately she didn’t do the Photo but I still will have the memory! One day I’ll have my Gwen Stefani and Anne Hathaway moment! I did get Photos with Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time) and Tommy Hilfigger but unfortunately they just didn’t turn out:(
Fortunately, most of the Celebrities I met were more than obliging and here are some of the Stars I got to get Snap with below. And yes, that is KYLIE MINOGUE!!!! She is just as lovely as I’d dreamed! Ditto for Kelly Ripa!! Armie Hammer too!! And I don’t believe Zooey Deschanel said “yes”! She never does!!
See it all:
