LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales
Premiering October 1, “LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales” is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy— just in time for Halloween. After the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends. It’s been a minute since we’ve checked-in with MR. WILL and A PIC BY MRWILL (Princess). And we don’t know where Summer went!
MR. WILL has gradually improved since his first 2021 start where he had acted-up a bit at the gate and after a fifth and a fourth place finish subsequently, it was decided to give him a break back at home for a few weeks.
The rest has done him well and he’s already back in training at Woodbine, with a sharp workout!
He’s back and ready to go this Friday at Woodbine, Race 1 at 4:50 PM! We are so grateful that he has gotten to learn some valuable lessons with a master in Emma-Jayne Wilson. He will be transitioning under current #1 rider at Woodbine, Kazushi Kimura. We love Kimura’s energetic spirit and graciousness and not only we are huge fan, we are so honoured he’s giving MR WILL his vote of confidence in this race. As it is TIFF right now we aren’t sure if we will be able to make it, but we are wishing the best to KK and Mr Will!
Things are going well at the Love barn, with them scoring last weekend with HALF LIT. MR WILL’s promising half-brother BIG WILLOW also just has been retired and is eligible for a loving home. Details are below.
Fingers crossed all goes well Friday. Don’t forget to tune-in on HPITV!
We’ve missed our sweet Princess and hope to see her soon in the next couple weeks once things calm down a bit. She’s loving her life outdoors, putting on weight and soon her new barn which she’ll share with her new family, is almost fully built for the winter! Her Mom Emily Fisher sends us this amazing new pic of her below.
Emily will be competing with former veteran horse Cummings Road at the Retired Racehorse Project Mega-Makeover, for horses transitioning to a new career as jumpers, soon! More details on that here. And if you’re on the Woodbine backstretch, please see Emily to buy some Laura Secord chocolate towards her fundraising!

Movies are back in a big way! The Pandemic could not stop Moviegoers form flocking to theatres this weekend to see Marvel’s SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS. FREE GUY lands in third with $8.9 million from 3,885 theatres for 20th Century Studios, a cumulative $94.5 million over four weeks. Not bad at all!
Fourth spot goes to PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE with $4.1 million from 3,004 theatres, a three week run of $31.7 million.

By Mr. Will Wong
We are a day away from perhaps the biggest Blockbuster of Summer 2021. A pandemic requires an extraordinary superhero and he is SHANG-CHI.
We had the pleasure of sitting-in on a junket with the Toronto-raised Chinese-Canadian Actor Simu Liu, known to many in Canada for his role as Jung on Kim’s Convenience. While he deals with familial issues in Marvel’s SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS, let’s just say the stakes are higher and the action is just a bit more… astonishing!
We ask Liu about his headspace right now promoting this Film on a whirlwind tour under exceptional circumstances.
Liu: It’s a lot! I have not slept properly in a really long time. But there’s also the sense that if I’m doing all this and doing all the interviews, and meeting the fans, it means people really care about this Movie and believe in its importance. That’s the battery fuel or recharge that’s keeping me going right now is that this Movie really can and will have an impact.
It’s truly incredible because I’ve fought for representation for the better part of my career and always wished I had a platform or a stage that was really big enough to shout it to the world. With Marvel, we have. It’s the biggest platform there possibly could be. They’re superhero films, global products, transcend cultures and are just so much fun for every body.
I think that’s such an amazing thing to get to show everybody the celebration of our cultures, our value, our language, our customs but we get to show it to the whole world, so for those who are within our community it can be very empowering and for those outside our community it can be an education of sharing.
Tony Leung whom after many years of acclaim in his native Chinese-speaking Asia, just now is wowing fans with his performance here as Shang-Chi’s father. Liu comments on his experience working with Leung.
Liu: I was a big fan of Tony‘s movies from Infernal Affairs to Hero to Chunking Express to In the Mood for Love, the list goes on and on. He is the A-Listers of A-Listers in Cinema and it really was such a privilege working with him.
I think what he taught me was the art of stillness. He’s mastered the art of a single glance in a single expression, that without saying any words can convey a well of emotion, break your heart and shift mountains and tectonic plates of story. It can just move you.
When you watch him, he is just so comfortable in his element and at peace in a way that is so poignant and so meaningful. He’s able to ground himself in a scene and just be so still.
For me, as a newer Actor it was a difficult thing to grasp as I had a lot of anxiety coming into the role and it would manifest in different ways. What he was so good at doing, was pulling me into a more grounded and present place with him. That’s something that I definitely take with me.
