SMILE giggles its way to #1 spot in its debut, taking $22 million from 3,645 theatres for Paramount Pictures. This R-rated Horror starring Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, gets 74% on the Tomatometer from Critics.

Second is DON’T WORRY DARLING with $7.3 million from 4,121 theatres, bringing its total to $32.8 million for Warner Bros. over two weekends.

THE WOMAN KING is in third with $7 million, a tally of $46.1 million now over three weekends for Sony Pictures.

BROS debuts in fourth with $4.8 million from 3,350 theatres for Universal Pictures. The first-ever major studio LGBTQ+ Rom-Com gets a stellar 95% on the Tomatometer, getting from tons of positive word of mouth also coming out of its TIFF ’22 Premiere.

Capping-off the Top Five is the Avatar re-release with $4.6 million, taking its two week total to $18.5 million for 20th Century Studios.

GUILLERMO DEL TORO’s CABINET OF CURIOSITIES will debut Tuesday, October 25, 2022 launching a special four day, double episode Netflix & Chills Halloween event. Two all-new CABINET OF CURIOSITIES tales will debut daily through Friday, October 28, when the entire collection of eight stories will be available to Netflix members around the world.

Synopsis:

Following the live October 4, 2022 EON Productions and David Arnold-created charity concert THE SOUND OF 007 at the Royal Albert Hall, Prime Video Canada will globally stream an exclusive recording of the show—The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall. The feature documentary pulls back the curtain on the remarkable history of six decades of James Bond music, taking viewers on a journey from Sean Connery’s Dr. No through to Daniel Craig’s final outing in No Time To Die. Produced by John Battsek at Ventureland, MGM, and EON Productions, the film charts the incredible history of the music, enthralling true tales behind the tunes and famous faces who have recorded some of the most beloved soundtracks in cinema. 

• The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall is an exclusive recording of the official charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall on October 4. Guest vocalists will join a line up curated by five-time Bond composer David Arnold. The concert marks 60 years since the world premiere of Dr. No, the first 007 film, on October 5, 1962. Honoring the franchise’s long tradition of supporting charitable causes, the proceeds of The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall will benefit two music charities: Nordoff Robbins and The BRIT Trust. Following the concert, a custom Duesenberg guitar signed by Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, David Arnold, and the artists will be auctioned online at Christie’s to raise additional funds for the music charities.
