Demi Lovato really has some fun with body paint in this long awaited new Video for her latest Hit, Heart Attack. Combining Fashion, Art and some Light Trickery, this perhaps is Lovato‘s most sophisticated to date and something about this really is Kelly Clarkson-esque about this, especially the parts with her singing against the wind machine, before of her four-piece Band.

They absolutely nail it in this softly-focussed Trailer for Behind the Candelabra, the upcoming HBO Film about World-renowned Pianist/Vocalist Liberace and his young Lover Scott Thorson. I must admit I am obsessed with Michael Douglas’ prosthetics and cannot erase the sight of Matt Damon in a bikini, coming out of a pool!
Now at long last you too can be mesmerized!

We all know Guillermo del Toro loves Toronto, but he really walks the walk in a recent Chat with Collider where he confirms that his next couple Projects are slated to Film in Toronto. Call this City del Toronto if you will. With his epic Pacific Rim, filmed here last Winter, recently greenlit for a Sequel we learned that both his upcoming FX TV Series, based upon his and Chuck Hogan‘s Trilogy of the same name The Strain, begins filming later this year throughout early next year. It is set in a World where Vampires rule and Humans are enslaved. Following that, the likes of Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone Mia Wasikowska, Benedict Cumberbatch Tom Hiddleston and again Charlie Hunnam (who stars in Pacific Rim also) may be here as early as next Spring to begin Production on Crimson Peak.
del Toro tells Collider:
“We’re shooting The Strain in Toronto, Crimson Peak in Toronto, and I love Toronto so much. We’re basically moving there for a couple of years at least. It also has the best cinematheque in the world, the Lightbox. TIFF is amazing, and I’m doing a Hitchcock series every December there. We’re going to do it every December for films by Hitchcock, talking to the audience about them, and doing a little class if you would. It’s a great community.”.
About Crimson Peak, del Toro is v. vague, but does reveal to Total Film:
“It’s the turn of the century. So it’s at the turn of the century and half of the movie takes place in America, and the other half takes place in a crumbling mansion in Cumbria (Northwest England). And basically it’s a ghost story and gothic romance, trying to subvert the rules of the usual gothic romance.”.
Not only did I get to work on Pacific Rim for a week last year doing Background Work, I caught-up with del Toro last Winter as he hosted one of those mentioned Alfred Hitchock Master Classes at TIFF Bell Lightbox. Here’s a hint, he quite literally loves that Building and adores Luma, dining there frequently.
Although some finishing touches were applied early March in Toronto with Re-shoots, Warner Bros. at long last releases Pacific Rim on July 12, 2013. I’ll be posting a Post about my week on-set following the release – stay tuned!

We all love Holt Renfrew, right? Brand new iTV/PBS Series Mr. Selfridge in soapy, juicy fashion tells about American-born British Retail Magnate Harry Gordon Selfridge‘s rise to success in the early 1900s. For those Canadian Fashionistas who didn’t know, our Holt Renfrew actually is controlled by the UK’s Selfridges Group.
The ten-episode first Season of the Series stars Jeremy Piven in the titular role as a flamboyant Businessman, Retail Visionary, Father, Husband and Lover and I must say zipping through it was a rather easy task. Glamour, Affairs, Love and Ambition fuel much of Mr. Selfridge and we learn about the Story of a Man (adapted from Lindy Woodhead‘s Biography Shopping, Seduction & Mr Selfridge) who changed the face of how the Public access Fashion.
Frances O’Connor is fantastic as Mrs. Rose Selfridge – oddly reminiscent of a younger Sally Field, as is a fresh-faced 22-year-old Aisling Loftus as Visual Merchandiser Agnes Towler, caught in a Love Triangle between Waiter and aspiring Restauranteur Victor Colleano and Colleague Henry Leclair (Grégory Fitoussi). Basically, everyone’s having an Affair and you won’t be able to keep your eyes off the screen. The Women are delicate yet strong-willed, in an ever-changing political landscape; the Men are well… irresistible. Something for everyone. Reception has been positive overall for the Series and a second Season is forthcoming in 2014.
PBS airs Mr. Selfridge on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM.

After a tease three weeks ago, Avril Lavigne unleashes her new Single Here’s to Never Growing Up from her as-yet-untitled fifth Studio Disc from Sony Music. The Track, produced by Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls is sonically a bit along the lines of Taylor Swift‘s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Sounds an awful lot like Spring, yes?
Growing-up perhaps a bit too much on her last Disc Goodbye Lullaby, Lavigne has some fun again here, revealing that the upcoming Disc will be the complete opposite of that mellow 2010 Effort.
Inviting Fans to participate on the fun by uploading clips of themselves, the Lyric Video for the Track also has just surfaced below:

This is exactly what I’ve been raving about. Hot off her Toronto Show, this brand new Video surfaces for Jessie Ware‘s Imagine It Was Us, which will be featured on the Gold Edition of her debut Disc Devotion, in stores on Tuesday, April 23, 2013! It looks like the British Songstress has taken good response from her Track Running and ran with it, making her new Single more on the mid-Tempo. This is actually what she needs to be introduced to North America and it would appear that the buzz is peaking at just the right time with Torontonians already in-the-know at her sold-out Opera House Show on Saturday.
See some Snaps of her this past weekend in Toronto right here.
Just check-out Imagine It Was Us below. You’ll know why I’m in love with it.

Multimedia Princess Selena Gomez never disappoints and with 2013 already shaping-up to be a big year already with her getting love from the Arthouse Crowd with her latest Film Spring Breakers, she now is ready to slay us with some amazing Pop Music.
A newly-solo Gomez (both musically and relationship-wise) decided to push early a couple days the release of her latest Single, Come & Get It after much teasing about it the past few weeks and what we get here is Bhangra-infused Electronic-Pop. That Hook is amazing and guaranteed within the first listen you’ll be “na na na”-ing along with the StarGate-produced Track. So good!
