I think I speak for many of us when I say that we have in some shape, way or form been touched by the work of Marcia Gay Harden. Normally when you speak about an Actor or Actress you refer to the work they are best known for, but the Academy Award-winning Actress is known for so many years of incredible work. There’s of course her brilliant performance in Pollock and of course Mystic River. But what about Mona Lisa Smile, the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, Damages, How to Get Away with Murder, Code Black, The Newsroom or The First Wives’ Club?
Her reason for visit today, her first in quite some time, was a little different. In addition to being an accomplished Actress, she also is an Author and she penned a Memoir dedicated to her late mother, THE SEASONS OF MY MOTHER: A MEMOIR OF LOVE, FAMILY, AND FLOWERS chronicling her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. More on that here.
Harden grew-up in Japan where her and her mother and has fond memories of doing traditional Japanese flower arrangements, Ikebana. She even has shown Martha Stewart in one of many visits to her, how to do this! See a Clip here.
While a tad behind schedule, we are so thrilled we got a chance to tell her we love her and get a Selfie! Harden appeared on CITY‘s Breakfast Television, kicking-off her day of Press for the Book.
