The acclaim for Comedy BABES is universal! The Film is the directorial debut of Actor Pamela Adlon, starring two heavyweights of Comedy, Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau, exploring the changing dynamic between two best friends after one of them becomes pregnant unexpectedly.
Toronto got a huge surprise tonight with Glazer coming in to do an intro for the Film at Scotiabank Theatre, where a special Advance Screening was held. Glazer currently is on-tour with her Ilana Glazer Live! Show, which just did a two-night run in Toronto earlier this month. So generous of her to make time for Toronto, whom have always shown her love, and she looked so gorgeous and chic!
Glazer will be doing some press tomorrow so stay tuned as she’s schedule to hit-up some of our biggest programs starting with BT!
Some highlights from tonight. Would you believe Glazer complimented me on my skin? She’s so sweet!

From one of the masterminds between The Lego Movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse, and both 21 & 22 Jump Street, comes a new Crime Thriller to AppleTV+ and it is an absolute delight from start to finish. The entire Series is incredible, with each character getting their moment to shine and share their version of events, all while trying to figure out who committed the ultimate crime – murder. Think if Clue were modern and a TV show, this would be it. Chris Miller knows exactly what he is doing as the Showrunner on this hilarious murderous Thriller, that fans will be heeled over laughing about.
A high school reunion afterparty ends in tragedy, although to be fair who ends up enjoying their high school reunions? Not all of them end in death though, investigated by police about what truly did happen at this afterparty? Everyone is a suspect and Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) has to figure out what happened as her career is practically on the line. The entire show focuses on Xavier (Dave Franco), Brett (Ike Barinholtz), Yasper (Ben Schwartz), Aniq (Sam Richardson), Chelsea (Ilana Glazer), Zoe (Zoe Chao) and Jennifer #1 (Tiya Sircar). The first three episodes focus on Aniq, Brett, and Yasper’s accounts of what happened that night, with each episode telling different accounts that has to be pieced together to find who the real killer is.
The way the show shows the different character arcs and the stories that they each show and how each character has different tales of what happened, truly shows the bigger picture and how it all pieces together. However, what we appreciate most about The Afterparty is the way each character’s story gets its own due moment and room to develop. These Cast truly get the proper opportunity to deliver their best and this is palpable as a viewer.
With comedic powerhouses such Tiffany Haddish, Ilana Glazer, Dave Franco, Ike Barinholtz and Ben Schwartz, you bet the laughs are plentiful, and the payoff even better. The Afterparty needs to be seen to be believed.
The first three episodes of THE AFTERPARTY are streaming now on Apple TV+, with the new episodes arriving every Friday.
We just can’t get enough of Comedies about girls just having some fun! With an all-star cast, ROUGH NIGHT already looks like one of this summer’s funniest (and messiest) adventures on-screen! I admit, we’re super curious about seeing Scarlett Johansson in a comedy.
Synopsis:
Five best friends from college (played by Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. Their hard partying takes a hilariously dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they’re ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.

I admit I had no idea how they were gonna make a full Movie about it, but Sony Pictures have managed to do it! They just released the first teaser for The Emoji Movie today.
Synopsis:
THE EMOJI MOVIE unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Ilana Glazer). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.
