MUFASA: THE LION KING reclaims the top spot this weekend with $12 million from 3,555 theatres for Disney. This brings its North America run to $210.5 million over five weekends.
Debuting in second is ONE OF THEM DAYS with $11 million from 2,675 theatres for Sony Pictures. The Buddy Comedy starring SZA and Keke Palmer gets a stellar 96% on the Tomatometer.
Third is WOLF MAN with $10.5 million from 3,354 theatres for Universal Pictures. This Horror starring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, gets 53% on the Tomatometer.
Fourth goes to SONIC THE HEDGEHOG with $8 million for Paramount Pictures. Its run now is brought to $218.2 million.
DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA rounds the Top Five out with $7.4 million, taking it to $28.5 million for VVS Films/Lionsgate.
DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA debuts atop the Box Office this weekend taking $14 million for Lionsgate/VVS Films, from 3,008 theatres. Its 2018 predecessor opened similarly but in the number two spot, with $15 million. Critically, it improves upon its previous film with a 61% on the Tomatometer.
In second is MUFASA: THE LION KING, with $13 million from 3,620 theatres, a total $188.5 million grossed for Disney over four weekends.
Third is SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3 with $9.2 million from 3,582 theatres for Paramount Pictures, bringing its four week run to $202 million domestically.
Taking fourth is NOSFERATU with $6.8 million from 3,082 theatres for Focus Features/Universal Pictures, a tally of $81.8 million for the Robert Eggers Horror.
Rounding it all out is MOANA 2 with $4.8 million, a total run of $433.1 million in North America for Disney.

Synopsis: Gerard Butler (Plane, Has Fallen series) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Out of Compton, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) return in the sequel to 2018’s action-heist hit Den of Thieves. In DEN OF THIEVES: PANTERA, Big Nick (Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.
Moviegoers have Romance on their minds pre-Valentine’s Day weekend as FIFTY SHADES FREED steams-up the Box Office with $40.3 million from 3,768 theatres for Universal Pictures. While the Franchise finale is unable to eclipse the $80 million its first chapter earned opening weekend in 2015, this by no means is a disgrace as it falls just short of its 2017 installment, which opened with $46 million. It gets 11% on the Tomatometer from Critics and a B+ CinenaScore from Audiences.
In second is PETER RABBIT with $22 million from 3,725 theatres for Sony Pictures. It gets a 58% on the Tomatometer and an A- CinemaScore.
THE 15:17 TO PARIS debuts in third with $11.7 million from 3,042 theatres for Warner Bros. The Clint Eastwood Film centering on the true story of three Americans who confronted a terrorist aboard a train, gets a 20% on the Tomatometer and a B- CinemaScore.
JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE lands in fourth this weekend with $9.6 million. Over eight weeks it has grossed $365 million for Sony Pictures.
THE SHAPE OF WATER is in ninth with $3 million for Fox Searchlight, putting the Oscar Contender close to the $50-million-mark domestically.
DEN OF THIEVES rounds-out the Top Ten with $2.7 million in its fourth week, totaling $40.8 million for STX Entertainment/VVS Films.
JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE is showing no signs of stopping! It stays on-top a third straight week with $20.8 million from 3,704 theatres for Sony Pictures, a total $317 million grossed domestically over five weeks.
In second in its debut is 12 STRONG with $15.4 million from 3,002 theatres for Warner Bros. Starring Michael Shannon and Chris Hemsworth, the post-9/11 Drama gets a 56% on the Tomatometer but an A CinemaScore.
In third also is another new release in DEN OF THIEVES with $13.5 million from 2,432 theatres for STX Entertainment/VVS Films. It gets a 38% score on the Tomatometer and a B+ CinemaScore.
Oscar Contender THE POST is in fourth for 20th Century Fox with $12.4 million. Over five weeks it has grossed $45 million in North America.
THE GREATEST SHOWMAN lands in fifth with $10.9 million showing longevity, having made $113 million in its run this far for 20th Century Fox.
FOREVER MY GIRL makes its debut rounding-out the Top Ten with $4.1 million from 1,115 theatres for Roadside Attractions/Elevation Pictures. It gets 18% on the Tomatometer.

Synopsis:
A Los Angeles crime saga in the vein of “Heat”, DEN OF THIEVES follows the intersecting and often personally connected lives of an elite unit of the LA County Sheriff’s Dept. and the state’s most successful bank robbery crew as the outlaws plan a seemingly impossible heist on the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles.

VVS Films has a ton of stuff coming out later this year and next year, and we were privileged enough to learn about some of their upcoming titles, some of which are also premiering at TIFF ’17!
Hellboy
The reboot of the Franchise that starred Ron Pearlman and directed by Guillermo del Toro now stars Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane and David Harbour. There is not too much information about this title as it was only announced a little while ago but it is hotly-buzzed.
Mile 22
Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg team-up yet again with a new team featuring Ronda Rousey and Iko Uwais in a CIA Action-Thriller.
The Happytime Murders
Melissa McCarthy stars in this Action-Comedy Thriller about a 80s television show cast of puppets getting killed off one by one.
Adrift
Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin star in this Romantic Drama about a woman who sails into a hurricane to save the man she loves.
Den of Thieves
The Film stars O’Shea Jackson Jr, Gerard Butler and Pablo Schreiber in a bank robbery that inevitably takes a wrong turn.
The Foreigner
Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan star in this Action-Thriller where one man is trying to seek vengeance for his daughters death which resulted from terrorism while the other man’s past may reveal the identity of the killer.
TIFF ’17 TITLES
I, Tonya
Margot Robbie and Sebastian Stan in the movie about Tonya Harding. This is one of the hotly-buzzed Movies coming to the festival this year as well.
Loving Pablo
Real-life couple Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz star as drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and journalist Virginia Vallejo.
Brad’s Status
Ben Stiller stars in this Comedy about a father who takes his son to tour colleges and meets-up with an old friend who makes him feel inferior about his life choices.
