#BOXOFFICE: “TOY STORY 5” UNBOXES TO FRANCHISE BEST OPENING

TOY STORY 5 gets unboxed to a franchise best opening this weekend with a stellar $170 million from 4,425 theatres for Disney. Not only this, it gets a superb 94% on the Tomatometer. Franchise best belonged to 2019’s TOY STORY 4 with $120 million. Review here.

Second goes to last week’s champ DISCLOSURE DAY, bringing-in $17.2 million in its second frame to a domestic tally of $78.4 million for Universal Pictures.

Third is the resilient OBSESSION, taking $14 million, to a total six week run of $215 million for Universal Pictures.

BACKROOMS takes fourth spot with $7.5 million, a total $175 million grossed over four weekends for A24/Elevation Pictures.

SCARY MOVIE rounds things out with $6.6 million, a three week run of $97 million for Paramount Pictures.
