SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY debuts huge this weekend with $355 million from 4,487 theatres for Sony Pictures, a second best ever opening for a Marvel film. Previous franchise record for SPIDER-MAN belonged to 2021’s NO WAY HOME, opening with $260 million. All-time best North American opening still belongs to Marvel‘s AVENGERS: END GAME with $357.1 million. Not only this, it gets 90% on the Tomatometer.
Second best is THE ODYSSEY which ruled for two weeks straight. On any other weekend, this would be a clear-cut #1. It takes $51 million in its third weekend, taking it to $395.5 million for Universal Pictures. That’s Tom Holland and Zendaya in the top two films at the Box Office right now!
Third goes to Disney and Pixar‘s TOY STORY 5 with $6.2 million, a tally of $461.5 million in its seventh weekend.
Fourth is MINIONS & MONSTERS with $5.6 million, a five week total of $168.5 million domestically.
Rounding things out, we have Disney‘s MOANA with $5.3 million, bringing it to $114 million in its fourth frame.
