After wowing audiences at TIFF ’15, we want to know if you’re ready to handle TRUTH. eOne Films + Mr. Will want to take Readers to ad Advance Screening of what surely will be a contender this upcoming Awards Season. Screenings take place Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax and Victoria.
Official Synopsis:
TRUTH is an independent feature film based on the book “Truth and Duty” by Mary Mapes. In the vein of “All The President’s Men” and “The Insider”, it is the incredible true story of Mary Mapes (played by Cate Blanchett), an award-winning CBS News Journalist and Dan Rather’s producer, who broke the Abu-Ghraib prison abuse story, among others.
The film chronicles the story Mapes and Rather uncovered that a sitting US president may have been AWOL from the United States National Guard for over a year during the Vietnam War. When the story blew up in their face, the ensuing scandal ruined Dan Rather’s career, nearly changed a US Presidential election, and almost took down all of CBS News in the process.

eOne Films + Mr. Will want to give Readers a chance to see BURNT starring Bradley Cooper! Screenings take place Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the following cities: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax and Victoria.
Synopsis:
Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chance.

From September 24 through October 3, 2015, Torontonians are treated to the thrill that is the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Giving us access to some amazing comedy acts this year, the Festival is headlined by the likes of Patton Oswalt, Craig Ferguson, Chris Hardwick, John Mulaney, Gilbert Gottfried, T.J. Miller, Ilsa Schlesinger, Grace Helbig and new Daily Show Host as of Monday, Trevor Noah.
Although we’re positively pooped from TIFF ’15, the Festival gives us another reason to be out this weekend and at Sony Centre tonight we got the absolute pleasure of meeting two of the JFL 42‘s biggest names, Noah and Hardwick. Despite being in a rush to fly-out presumably to New York to work on his high-profile new gig, Noah was amazing to stop and roll-down his window for a Selfie. I happened to be in striking position and was one of only a few to get that snap! “Take off your lenscap!”, he directed me amidst the commotion.
Hardwick, known best for hosting AMC‘s The Walking Dead Aftershow, Talking Dead, was most gracious. He arrived super-early for his 9:45 PM show and had security ready to keep his fans in order, stopping for autographs, chats and photos with the large crowd. A champ!
