The Cast of Shazam! continue to make a splash around the City and we love following how big a family they’ve become over Social Media, bonding over TV, Movies and game nights. They even went to CN Tower together last week and also had a special private screening of Ready Player One at Warner Bros. Pictures Canada‘s Head Office uptown. Film wraps May.
Some Snaps:
Marta Milans
Cooper Andrews
Grace Fulton
Ian Chen
The Cast largely have been really nice to fans and we have been extra cautious with the younger talent ensuring their caretakers and parents were okay with photos.
A Reader who requested to remain anonymous sent us this Snap of Zachary Levi in-costume as he filmed on-location a while back. The costume appears faithful to the original Comics. Dare we say it may even veer a bit to the nostalgic/campy?

While Toronto has been Pilot and TV Series-heavy in terms of filming, something interesting is on the horizon. We are hearing through a source that a new Film titled RUN THIS TOWN will be filming in the City around April. It will star TONY winner Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) and Toronto’s Mena Massoud who will play the titular role in Disney’s upcoming live-action Aladdin Film. While not yet confirmed on IMDb, Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), the latter also of Toronto, are likely to star also.
Ricky Tollman writes and directs this, his first Feature Film. Tollman attended OMDC’s 2016 International Financing Forum for the Film, which finally is set to take off.
Synopsis:
The plot follows a young journalist (Platt), desperate to prove himself, who catches wind of a scandal involving a flashy, unpredictable politician with no filter (Lewis). Political aides (Massoud and Dobrev) attempt to keep their boss in check – and the story under wraps – in order to save their jobs.
The Shoot is estimated to take approximately one month in Toronto. Pretty timely with Doug Ford‘s recent naming as the Ontario PC Leader?
More to come. The Film is said to have its sights on a TIFF ’18 Premiere.
