Toronto, are you ever in for a treat! World-travelling and award-winning immersive exhibit Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.: The Experience is arriving sooner than you think! It has just been confirmed after a tease last month that it will run November 20, 2020 until January 31, 2021 at Yorkdale Shopping Centre!
We had the pleasure of previewing the 25,000 square foot space devoted entirely to the fandom of Marvel’s Avengers, but not only this – it gives fans, no matter what age, a coveted chance to experience what it’s like to be a member of the Avengers team! Agents all come in with their own individual personas and their own specialities, so this is really all about you!
Safety is everyone’s top concern right now. Guest Experience Manager Mark Fraser-Davidson tells us, “The Toronto exhibit has been built specifically with COVID-19 in mind”. They have had to get creative in putting together contact-free ways to interact, with frequent sanitation (yes, we saw “Hulk Serum” sanitizer), boosted ventilation and social distancing measures in place. Guests are advised still to practice and observe COVID-19 safety protocols when attending.
The dazzling display contains individual rooms devoted to some of our favourite Avengers including Iron Man (you have an opportunity to transform into him!), Hulk, Captain America, Thor and a Toronto-exclusive in Black Panther, as we commemorate the late Chadwick Boseman. Actual set pieces, models and costumes are enclosed behind glass, and we learned that the latter’s costume is valued at $40k! Even Supervillain Thanos is paid tribute to here with his own section. Actors are present to send us on and guide us through our mission, for an even more heightened experience.
See some of our Snaps from start to finish!
We learned that a cap of 40 people will be allowed in every 15 minutes, with a space so large that up to 1,500 people can be accommodated at the exhibit.
Guests have three ticketing options:
General – you must attend at a set time slot.
Flexi – you have a two hour window in which you can enjoy the experience.
VIP – you get increased flexibility with the ability to change your time, with a green screen print of yourself with The Avengers, a VIP Poster and a lanyard.
The Exhibit which can run you between an hour to 90 minutes, also has a retail space with a variety of Avengers merchandise, from figurines to face masks. We learned that clothier Roots and the Exhibit also will collaborate for some special limited edition pieces as well!
It is located directly across from the LEGO store and if you are driving, it is best to park around Shopper’s Drug Mart.

We simply cannot get enough of Cobie Smulders! The stunning Canadian-born Actress known best for her work in The Avengers as Agent Maria Hill and Robin Scherbatsky on popular Sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, is back in Toronto to promote upcoming Comedy Delivery Man.
Based on the TIFF ’11 French-Canadian Film Starbuck by Director Ken Scott, the Film which is garnering lots of positive buzz, stars Vince Vaughn. You could say that in a meta way, Smulders’ visit home truly is like a Canadian Story returning to its roots on multiple levels. The Comedy centers around a Man who one day realizes he has fathered 533 Children via Sperm Donation.
Smulders‘ Press Day today kicked-off at KISS 92.5’s THE ROZ & MOCHA SHOW, followed by a visit to CITY‘s Breakfast Television, where she had a Chat with Jennifer Valentyne. “This Movie has a lot of heart and it’s really sweet. You find yourself really sobbing. It’s very, very sweet”, she said earlier. On her Friendship with Vaughn she reveals, “We’re pretty much Best Friends at this point!”.
She was incredibly nice to make time for Fans earlier today before heading into CITY‘s Studios. We have fond memories of Smulders’ last visit to Toronto, where she was an absolute Class Act! More on that here.
Things certainly aren’t slowing down for new Mother Smulders, who stars next in eagerly-awaited The Lego Movie and also reprises her role as Maria Hill in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The Avengers won top honours tonight at 2013 MTV Movie Awards held at Los Angeles’ Sony Pictures Studios, nabbing coveted Movie of the Year, in addition to Best Fight and Best Villain with British Actor Tom Hiddleston. The Blockbuster uniting various Marvel Superheroes, grossing over $1.5 billion worldwide has a Sequel on the way, scheduled for May 1, 2015.
Silver Linings Playbook not only won Jennifer Lawrence her first Oscar, but she always was awarded Best Actress as was her Co-Star Bradley Cooper, who earned Best Actor. Both currently are reuniting with Director David O. Russell on his latest as-yet-untitled Film, along with Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner with production taking place in Boston.
Although a Sequel is still in the works, the Cast of Sleeper Hit Pitch Perfect reunited on-stage at the beginning of the Show tonight, eventually going on to win Best Musical Moment. Star Rebel Wilson filled hosting duties tonight and dared to shock with some controversially over-the-top outfits including a double-nipple number.
In an odd turn of events, Funnywoman Aubrey Plaza crashed Will Ferrell‘s Acceptance Speech, wrestling his Comedic Genius Award out of his hand. It was learned that she later was ejected from the Venue for her behaviour, although it is said she purely behaved so as a Publicity Stunt for her upcoming Film The To-Do List. Point taken.
Fan Favourite The Twilight Saga of course didn’t walk away empty despite the Franchise having ended. Its Star Taylor Lautner was awarded Best Shirtless Scene.
