SZA’s all-new single “Save The Day” from Disney and Pixar’s upcoming original animated film “Hoppers” is now available. Performed by SZA, “Save The Day” features lyrics written by SZA with music written by SZA, Ben Lovett and Rob Bisel. The complete “Hoppers” soundtrack, featuring “Save The Day” and an original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh, will debut the same day as the film’s theatrical release on March 6, 2026. Pre-order here.
Starting February 18, fans were able to get an on-air first listen of “Save The Day” on SiriusXM’s Disney Hits, channel 133. A special “Save The Day” die-cut vinyl shaped like the film’s lead character Mabel is now available for pre-order exclusively at Disney Music Emporium.
Director Daniel Chong commented, “SZA’s music saved me during the making of this movie. It was a lifeline during the stress of the filmmaking process, a voice that comforted and inspired me through it all. It felt so perfect to have an original song by SZA, to have her give voice to the movie and its hopeful themes. When we first heard the song, some of us cried; SZA perfectly captured the heart of our main character, Mabel. ‘Save The Day’ is not just an emotional journey through Mabel’s convictions, but an anthem for a whole generation just looking for some runway to change the world. Our movie is forever grateful to Solána, Rob Bisel and Ben Lovett for this beautiful gift.”
Chong also reflected on the film’s score, noting, “Mark is a creative force, and he captured the crazy energy that is ‘Hoppers’ with his musical genius, all while being a supportive and generous presence to our whole team. He believed in the film from the moment he saw it, and delivered an undeniable score that is full of charm, thrills, and most of all – HEART – in the way only the great Mark Mothersbaugh could. The world is lucky to have a lovely soul like Mark in it, and the movie would not be the same without him.”
Added Mark Mothersbaugh, “When I saw an early version of the film, I was struck by it. I like the message and, in a way, it’s kind of a Devo message. And I love the story. I think everyone will look at this film and they’ll relate. It’s positive information for people to think about.”
Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers” is directed by Chong (“We Bare Bears”) and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, p.g.a. (“Incredibles 2”). In the all-new animated comedy adventure, animal-lover Mable (voice of Piper Curda) seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to “hop” her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she uncovers mysteries in the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, Mabel befriends charismatic beaver King George (voice of Bobby Moynihan) and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major imminent human-threat: smooth-talking mayor Jerry Generazzo (voice of Jon Hamm.) The all-star voice ensemble also features Meryl Streep, Dave Franco and Kathy Najimy. Special early access screenings begin on Saturday, February 28, ahead of the film’s wide release exclusively in theatres on Friday, March 6.

Disney and Pixar’s upcoming action-packed animated comedy “Hoppers” unveiled a new trailer this morning, introducing moviegoers to an animal lover named Mabel (voice of Piper Curda), who jumps at the opportunity—or hops, in fact—to try new technology that allows her to communicate with animals in an exciting new way.
Pixar’s Daniel Chong directs the film, which hits theatres on March 6, 2026. “In ‘Hoppers,’ the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” says Chong. “Our main character, Mabel, gets to discover the animal kingdom as an animal, which can be weird and often hilarious. Mabel undercover in the animal world leads to a wild, roller coaster ride of a movie, with all the heart you expect from a classic Pixar film. It’s going to be so much fun to watch in the theatre; I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
In “Hoppers,” scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals! Using the new technology, Mabel (Curda) will uncover mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined. Produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, “Hoppers” also features the voices of Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm.
