The network’s late 2024 schedule is expected to feature a diverse round-up of new and returning Corus Studios series. Hollywood icon Pamela Anderson returns for Season 2 of Pamela’s Garden of Eden (8×60), which ranked within the Top 10 of Canadian original series across specialty television last fall. Also returning for a Season 2 is Gut Job (8×60) following seasoned builder Sebastian Clovis tackling down-to-the-studs renovations; and Hoarder House Flippers (8×60), a Top 10 program on the network last summer, featuring three sets of flippers transforming dilapidated houses. This Remembrance Day, Our War Part 2 (2×60), will shine a light on extraordinary Canadians who made heroic contributions to WWI and WWII. From the descendant of a World War I nurse killed in a war crime to a Japanese Canadian survivor of a World War II internment camp, the docu-series follow descendants as they investigate the harrowing secrets their ancestors took to the grave.
Then in winter, the premium limited documentary series Sounds Black (4×60) examines the origins and impact of Black Music in Canada. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Cazhhmere, with contributions from legends including Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, Fefe Dobson, Maestro Fresh Wes, Deborah Cox, Keisha Chante and more, the series explores Black Canadian music from its tangled diasporic roots to its international dominance.
A Top 10 program on the network last fall*, Deadman’s Curse returns for Season 2 (8×60), with more adventures following the diverse team of explorers on their epic search for legendary lost gold in B.C. Ahead of the second season premiering next spring, the Corus Studios series has already been greenlit for a third season. The series is complemented by a previously announced companion podcast from Curiouscast, Deadman’s Curse: Slumach’s Gold. In honour of Canada’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, a new two-hour documentary sheds light on the history of the relationship between Indigenous people and settlers. True Story (2×60) offers a critical lens to the past, revealing some shameful and heartbreaking truths, as well as uplifting and inspiring hope.
For Remembrance Day, Our War (2×60) uncovers stories about extraordinary individuals who made heroic contributions to WWI and WWII. From the descendent of one of Canada’s first Black servicemen, to the great-grand-nephew of a female intelligence officer stationed at Bletchley Park, the documentary follows these descendant’s investigations into their families’ historic pasts.
New from Corus Studios this fall is previously announced series Deadman’s Curse (8×60), following a diverse team of explorers on a quest to find a legendary cursed gold mine in B.C. Fan-favourite Corus Studios series Backroad Truckers (Season 2, 8×60), Big Timber (Season 3, 8×60), Lost Car Rescue (Season 2, 6×60), and Rust Valley Restorers (Season 5, 8×60) all return this year, along with Salvage Kings (Season 3, 8×60), which sees Ted taking the ultimate risk of opening his own salvage business with a team of familiar and new faces.

HGTV Canada is the nation’s destination for all things home. With 12 Corus Studios series upcoming, including seven returning favourites, HGTV Canada continues to be the go-to network for inspiring and heart-warming programming that fits any style.
The #1 Canadian Specialty series*****, Island of Bryan (8×60) continues with new episodes this fall, with even more Baeumler adventures upcoming. Corus is prepping a new Untitled Baeumler Project (working title) (10×60) in development and slated for 2023, plus Bryan will team up with co-host Scott McGillivray in the new previously announced competition series Renovation Resort (7×60). The frenemies oversee four talented contractor/design duos as they each transform a waterfront cabin into a one-of-a-kind vacation rental for a chance to win a $100,000 prize. Viewers will see Scott reunited with Debra Salmoni in Season 4 Scott’s Vacation House Rules (14×60), which is newly greenlit.
Sarah Richardson takes on her own vacation rental challenge this fall in the previously announced Sarah’s Mountain Escape (10×60). The series follows Sarah and her husband, Alexander Younger, as they transform a run-down B&B in Whistler, B.C. into a four-season luxury vacation rental property. Another West coast-based design and renovation series is Pamela Anderson in Pamela’s Garden of Eden (8×60). The previously announced series, coming this fall, follows Pamela as she revitalizes her grandmother’s six-acre legacy property on Vancouver Island into a stunning retreat. Another new personality to the network is no-nonsense luxury home designer Ali Budd, who leads a creative team to renovate and build incredible million-dollar renovations in Ali Budd (working title) (8×60).
Off the heels of their series premieres, Sebastian Clovis will offer more empathy and experience to overwhelmed homeowners in Season 2 of Gut Job (8×60), while the cross-Canada renovators from Hoarder House Flippers (8×60) will return to tackle a new batch of disaster houses in a brand new season. W Network spotlights the prolific career of sex educator Sue Johanson in Sex with Sue (1×90), directed by Lisa Rideout.Viewers will be reintroduced to the former W Network personality and see the unexpected and exciting ways her legacy lives on today.
Corus Studios dives deeper into scripted content with the previously announced set of romantic movies The Love Club (4x120min). The movies follow four women, each dealing with their own dating debacle, who take a vow to call on one another if they are ever in romantic trouble again – a vow that has them resurrecting their “Love Club” ten years later as each of them search for their unique happily-ever-after. The first movie is set to premiere on W Network Winter 2023. The movies will be distributed through Corus Studios.
ADULT SWIM
Corus is pleased to announce its second Canadian original series for Adult Swim, the popular network that offers an unexpected blend of authenticity, originality, and cleverness. The animated Red Ketchup (20×30), commissioned and greenlit by Corus’ French channel Télétoon la nuit, is based on the cult Quebec comic book series from the ‘80s of the same name. Featuring FBI’s crazed rogue agent, Steve “Red” Ketchup, the series will premiere in Canada on both Télétoon la nuit and in English on Adult Swim in 2023. Plus, the previously announced first Canadian original series for Adult Swim, Psi Cops (24×11), is set to premiere on Adult Swim Winter 2023. “Top” detectives Agent Kydd and Agent Felixx, of the secret agency Psi Cops, investigate spiritual phenomena, extraterrestrial life, and paranormal activity using their overly competent incompetence.

The previously announced Best & Bester (52×11) is set to premiere this fall on YTV. This spring, the network makes its first foray into the documentary realm with Cheese: A Love Story (6×60), an exploration of one of the world’s most beloved foods as host and the world’s youngest Maître fromager (Cheese Master), Afrim Pristine travels the globe in search of extraordinary cheeses and the people who make them. The schedule also sees renowned pastry chef Steve Hodge (Great Chocolate Showdown) guide struggling bakery businesses, alongside HGTV Canada’s design guru Tiffany Pratt (Family Home Overhaul), in the new series Bake or Break (wt)(10×60). Top 10 programs on Food Network Canada this spring, return for new seasons including Wall of Chefs (10×60), Great Chocolate Showdown (8×60), Top Chef Canada (8×60),the #2 program on the network and growing significantly year over year, along with a second season of kids competition series Junior Chef Showdown (8×60), the best Canadian Original new series on the network this broadcast year among total viewers. Big Food Bucket List (26×30) with John Catucci, and Carnival Eats (13×30) with host Noah Cappe, both return with all new seasons this fall, while grilling competition series Fire Masters (15×60) and holiday baking competition series The Big Bake (18×60) join the schedule in winter/spring.
Food Network Canada also debuts new stunt series, Chopped: Beat the Judge, where fearless returning winners compete for a chance to face off against Chopped judges, as well as Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart and Big Time Bake, hosted by Buddy Valastro. This fall, returning series include Restaurant: Impossible with Robert Irvine, Duff Takes the Cake featuring cake-master Duff Goldman, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, The Great Food Truck Race, and new episodes of Beat Bobby Flay and Guy’s Grocery Games.
HGTV CANADA
The nation’s destination for home renovation and design, real estate and DIY projects, HGTV Canada welcomes eight new and returning Canadian Original series. This fall, the network debuts Corus Studios Original series, Family Home Overhaul (8×60), where HGTV Canada’s top contractors and designers transform households for deserving families, as well as east coast renovation series Rock Solid Builds (10×60). The winter warms up with Farmhouse Facelift(10×60)revealing stunning vintage farmhouse transformations, and the #1 series on the network and #3 entertainment specialty program, Island of Bryan (13×60) returns for a third season to give viewers an all-access pass to Bryan and Sarah Baeumler’s continued journey as they open their boutique resort in the Bahamas. The network’s fall schedule offers new series Help! I Wrecked My House featuring Jasmine Roth as she helps homeowners overhaul their do-it-yourself disasters, and based in New Orleans, Selling the Big Easy highlights the buying and selling of beautiful historic properties. Celebrity IOU, the #1 freshman series on the network this broadcast year and a Top 10 entertainment specialty program, returns for another star-studded season with hosts Drew and Jonathan Scott as they help award-winning celebrities with a special renovation. New seasons of hit series Home Town, Christina on the Coast and Love It or List It also return to the schedule this year.

HISTORY unveils seven new and returning Canadian Original series, including Big Timber (10×60)following the work of loggers on Vancouver Island debuting this fall, and docu-series Backroad Truckers (8×60) featuring the daring lifestyle of independent truckers in northern B.C., coming in winter 2021. The network also sees the final season of hit historical drama and consistent Top 20 entertainment specialty program*, Vikings (10×60), take its final bow later this year. Three Corus Studios Original series return including Rust Valley Restorers (12×60), following the Rocky Mountain-based restoration team, the fascinating documentary-series History Erased (6×60), and the family-owned demolition business is revisited in a new season of Salvage Kings (10×60). Additionally, Remembrance Day special Fight to the Finish (1×90)is a definitive account of Canada’s greatest war, set to debut this fall.
The highly-anticipated premiere of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch launches this fall, featuring a team of scientists as they conduct a search of one of the most secretive locations of paranormal activities. The juggernaut reality series, and the #1 fall program for all of specialty, The Curse of Oak Island, returns for its eighth season later this year as the Lagina brothers continue with their exploration. The network also sees the return of the hotly-anticipated scripted miniseries on the life of Aretha Franklin, Genius: Aretha, as well as popular travelogue series Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, seeing Ramsay venturing even more off grid to explore global cuisines. This 2020-2021 broadcast season, Disney Channel pumps up the fun with returning popular series Raven’s Home, Bunk’d, Gabby Duran and the Unsittables, Sydney to the Max, The Owl House, and Amphibia.
Disney Junior returning preschooler favourites for 2020-2021 include Puppy Dog Pals, PJ Masks, Mira, Royal Detective, Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, Gigantosaurus, and Muppet Babies.

Continuing with all the Upfront festivities in Toronto this week, Corus Entertainment is the latest Television giant to unveil their 2018/2019 schedule at the CORUS USFRONT!
Canadian favourites like Big Brother Canada, Mary Kills People, Private Eyes and Entertainment Tonight Canada will be returning for another season. Lifestyle favourites Top Chef Canada, Holmes + Holmes, Property Brothers, Property Brothers: Buying and Selling, Carnival Eats and Ultimate Food Bucket List are among the new and returning.
New and exciting to Global’s Primetime Lineup are Series FBI, NEW AMSTERDRAM, HAPPY TOGETHER, ABBY’S, I FEEL BAD, THE NEIGHBOURHOOD and DANCING WITH THE STARS: JUNIORS.
