Over the past 10 years, some friends have come and gone. I had a job and lost a job. I got slim and got fat. I made Music and decided I no longer wanted to make Music. I had my heart broken twice and even battled Cancer. The one constant thing in my life always was Billy, the most loyal and trustworthy Companion. Happy 10th Birthday, Billy. You mean everything to me and I am so remarkably lucky to be your Caregiver. I hope I’ve been as good to you as you have been to me.
Love, Dad
p.s. Thank you to everyone for their kind and love-filled messages! We had the most amazing celebration today with some of our closest friends. A day filled with happy faces, wagging tails, food, drink and cake. Billy will remember this as his favourite day ever when he wakes up tomorrow morning. He’s out cold!
Here’s a look back at Billy over the years. If I might say, he’s just as excitable as he was when he was a Pup back in 2003!

You’ve seen his Photos inside and on the Covers of US Weekly, People, InStyle and Hello! Canada and you can imagine my great delight when top Toronto Celebrity Photographer, Mr. Todd Gillis expressed interest in photographing Billy. I’d be crazy to pass-up an opportunity like this! An honour.
Billy had an amazing time at the soon-t0-launch Beaches Studio earlier today which is situated at Kingston Road x Main Street, showing-off a variety of Outfits he’s acquired throughout the years. The gorgeous Studio which focuses on Corporate, Wedding, Family & Pets, Headshots, Portfolios and Event Photography, is a joint-venture between Todd and another top Celebrity Photographer in Alex Urosevic, who has photographed official Snaps for the likes of international Megastars like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
Handling it like a seasoned Professional under Todd‘s guidance, Billy gave it his all and I think the results truly speak on their own. I am speechless. Just look!
Believe it or not, you too can have a taste of Celebrity right here in Toronto. Learn more about Beaches Studio on their Official Website here. They also have a Facebook Fan Page right here!

He’s trained the Dogs of Scarlett Johansson, Oprah Winfrey, Nicolas Cage and Will Smith and now The Dog Whisperer is ready to share his tips with Canada on how to transform our relationships with our Dogs. Cesar Millan was out and about earlier today promoting his upcoming Canadian Live Nation-organized Tour, which includes dates in Oshawa (November 23) and Toronto (November 27), in addition to Stop-offs throughout the Country later this year.
Although Daddy had the pleasure of meeting Millan prior, it was Billy‘s turn to meet the Master and although cautious about getting fur on his sweater, he was more than happy to hold the leash. The Canine Expert was wonderfully kind to stop and take Photos with Passersby and Canine Fans alike following his appearance on Global Television‘s The Morning Show earlier.

Big debut for the Resident Evil Franchise this weekend! The latest installment, titled Retribution, in the Video Game Adaptation Series was filmed in Toronto last Winter and takes the top of the Box Office this weekend with $20.5 million in North America from 3,012 theatres. And to think Billy was a part of it all, bringing smiles to Stars Milla Jovovich and Kevin Durand‘s faces on their break!
Disney‘s Finding Nemo 3-D debuts in second with $17.5 million – a far cry from the $70 million it made back when it opened originally in 2003, but in its second run still performs strong.
Meanwhile, former Champion The Possession is a distant third this weekend with $5.7 million, ahead of Western Lawless which in its third week slips to fourth spot with $4.2 million; to-date it has earned $30.3 million. The Words starring Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana, lands in seventh with $2.8 million in its second week of release. The Campaign impressively still is hanging tough in tenth spot with $2.4 million in this its sixth week of release.
Bubbly under, The Master (which just premiered at TIFF), breaks a record for highest per-theatre average with $146k from just 5 theatres. In total, it earned $730k this past weekend; mighty impressive.
