Official Synopsis:
Academy Award® nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) stars as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday, it’s been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) – advised by his brilliant VP, Grace (Rose Byrne) and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy (Bobby Cannavale) – makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around.

There is no Female Artist owning Pop Music currently like Charli XCX. The 22-year-old English Singer/Songwriter’s voice certainly is familiar yet oddly enough there still is a degree of unfamiliarity with her name. You’ve heard her ability to write and sing an Earworm of a Hook whether it be Icona Pop‘s I Love It, Iggy Azalea‘s Fancy or even Boom Clap, made famous by arguably the Summer Movie of 2014, The Fault in our Stars.
Charli XCX, née Charlotte Aitchison may be young, but she’s long been perfecting her Pop Craftmanship since the age of 14. The Songstress was in Toronto today performing an intimate Gig at The Hoxton in trendy King West for an all-ages crowd, presented by Embrace Presents. After doing a compressed Media Blitz today at the Venue in advance of her upcoming second major label Disc, Sucker, Fans who lined the Bathurst St. entrance of the Venue midday were in for a huge treat as she took time to stop for Selfies before heading back to her Bus for a bit of relaxation.
Swedish Pop Sensation Elliphant opened the Show earlier this evening to warm response, before Charli XCX took the stage shortly after 10:30 PM. Fans sealed the perimeter of the stage and would be delighted by her high-energy performance featuring a mixture of her Repertoire, old and new. Solo Versions of I Love It and Fancy drove the Crowd absolutely wild as she paid homage to one of her greatest influences, Spice Girls in a shimmery Union Jack Dress, backed by a Female Band. New Single Break the Rules drew a positive response, channeling a rebellious yet carefree early Madonna. The comparisons vocally to an at-her-best Gwen Stefani are inevitable. The entire Crowd had sung along to Boom Clap before she was hurried off-stage and into her Bus once again, snapping Photos with a lucky two Fans after many asked, waiting hours for her at the Stage Door.

After much speculation, Director Paul Feig (BRIDESMAIDS) took to Twitter today to set the rumours straight! We already heard about GHOSTBUSTERS III being developed. We know Bill Murray’s out. And we know original Director-turned-Toronto Restauranteur Ivan Reitman is in via a Producer’s capacity. And we already heard about it potentially starring an all-female Cast. But where’s the proof? Feig dishes the details in less than 140 characters.
Read Feig‘s Tweet below:
It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.
— Paul Feig (@paulfeig) October 8, 2014
For those who don’t know, Katie Dippold as a Writer, paired with Feig on hilarious 2013 Box Office Hit THE HEAT starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy which went-on to earn $228 million worldwide. And we know McCarthy and Feig already have an amazing working relationship judging by the mentioned Film and the massive $288-million-grossing success of BRIDESMAIDS. Hence it’s safe to say McCarthy for sure will star in this? But who are these other “hilarious women” he speaks of?
Whom would you like to see star in GHOSTBUSTERS III?
Sony Pictures will be releasing GHOSTBUSTERS III, still without a confirmed release date.

We’ve been waiting so long for this! Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling once were considered for it. Directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa has far too long been in development but alas, Warner Bros. has just released these first images and a Trailer from the Action-Comedy (above).
Official Synopsis:
Seasoned con man Nicky Spurgeon (Will Smith) takes a young woman named Jess Barrett (Margot Robbie) under his wing and becomes romantically involved with her. When she gets too close, he abruptly breaks up with her.

In the ’90s, most Kids hung-out at the Mall or did House Parties on weekends. My single delight every Saturday and Sunday was going to the Races with my Parents. In that era, there was no Star brighter than CIGAR. The two-time Horse of the Year had us Racing Fans at the edge of our seats with a 16-race win streak stretching from October 1994 through July 1996.
Even after the streak ended, CIGAR still was going strong before ending a remarkable Career at Woodbine Racetrack here in Toronto (like Secretariat in 1973) with a game third-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. He retired just shy of the $10-million mark in earnings (an all-time record) winning everywhere from California to New York to Dubai. Horses like CIGAR literally are one in a million and he not only was America’s Horse. He was the Horse of Racing Fans around the World.
The Maryland-bred Colt owned by Allen Paulson, a prominent Aircraft Developer and Businessman, exceeded any expectations of him beginning his Career with an unsuspecting seventh place finish at Santa Anita Park in California. After switching from grass to the dirt, things took-off rather well for him and what we had was a true Racing Icon – a Hall of Famer – and no doubt one of the greatest of all time.
The Canadian connection certainly was there too. His paternal Great-Grandfather, Oshawa’s Windfields Farm-bred Norther Dancer, to this day is hailed for passing-on the genetic foundation of many of today’s brightest Racing Stars. His maternal Grandfather Seattle Slew also is an American Racing Icon, winning the coveted Triple Crown in 1997.
I never had the honour of seeing the great CIGAR in-person, but admired him deeply from our living room TV Set. He was a Star. Despite not having much luck as a Stallion following his Career on-track – all 37 mares bred to him failed to become pregnant – he lived a peaceful life at the Kentucky Horse Park of Champions, passing away yesterday at the age of 24 following surgery for a neck problem he was experiencing.
Thank you CIGAR, for the memories. Thank you for your Legacy.

“I have to remember who did this to me.”
We’ve always wondered why it is Nicole Kidman doesn’t do Thrillers more often. That long, pensive gaze and porcelain complexion are just perfect for it. We actually are rather delighted to see her in Before I Go to Sleep, due in select theatres this Halloween! There are so many question marks watching its Trailer and we can’t help but be intrigued…
Official Synopsis:
Ten years earlier, Christine Lucas (Nicole Kidman) was beaten nearly to death in a hotel room. She has no memory of the incident, but since then, she wakes up every day with no memory of the day before. Her husband Ben (Colin Firth) posts photographs on the bathroom mirror to help her understand who she is each day when she wakes up.
Christine is contacted each morning by Dr. Nash (Mark Strong), a therapist who is trying to help her regain some of her memories, including the fateful night she was nearly killed so they can identify the man who attacked her. He encourages her to keep a video diary so she can review it each day and remember things so she doesn’t have to start fresh from the beginning every day.
As memories return to her, Christine realizes she has a son and when Ben denies this, as well as other memories, she begins to question whether he’s trying to keep her from remembering her past. He denies more of her memories, which lead her to wonder why. She starts to suspect Ben of not being who he says he is.
