Canadians couldn’t get enough of Kylie Jenner 11-minute video to her daughter and Maroon 5 shows outlasting longevity with their star-studded GIRLS LIKE YOU (ft. Cardi B) Video taking top honours!

#NEWMUSIC: WHAT WILL BE THE SONG OF SUMMER 2015?

It ain’t even Summer yet, but everyone knows that the Campaign for coveted SONG OF THE SUMMER usually begins well in advance. The culmination of some masterful Publicity and Promotion by the Record Label for complete Airwave Domination! We’ve kept our ears open and we love that Pop Music is making a return back to proper melodies and although bugs terrify us, we certainly aren’t afraid of an Earworm.

We’re noticing the Europeans completely are winning the Pop Music Game right now with several Transatlantic Imports like Ellie Goulding, zedd and Tove Lo having a major presence on-air, but longtime veterans like Flo Rida and Maroon 5 also are showing incredible longevity. New names like Andy Grammer, Echosmith and Tori Kelly are bringing that sunny West Coast vibe across the continent. Canadians Walk Off the Earth have a mighty-catchy Tune in Rule the World which could find success across the Border!  It’s tough to say who will come out on-top but there surely are some worth Contenders!

#TORONTOBOUND: HONDA CIVIC TOUR WITH MAROON 5 & KELLY CLARKSON TO HIT TORONTO

A Match made in Pop Heaven! It has just been announced that Pop Royalty Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson are uniting for the Honda Civic Tour this Summer and in addition to hitting major cities throughout the U.S., Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre will host the sole Canadian date on Monday, August 29, 2013.

The Tour kicks-off August 1, 2013 in St. Louis and ends October 6, 2013 in Los Angeles.

#JUNOS: CARLY RAE JEPSEN LEADS 2013 JUNO AWARD NOMINEES

With just two months till the 2013 JUNO Awards, this year’s Nominees were announced today and dominating this year is Carly Rae Jepsen, who has made a big splash internationally with her Hit Call Me Maybe.   Jepsen is in the running to win: JUNO Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

Although he was responsible for helping her Call Me Maybe become a major Hit virally, Justin Bieber was no match for Jepsen, but certainly not disgraced. He’s up for four JUNOs this year including: Album of the Year, JUNO Fan Choice, Artist of the Yearand Pop Album of the Year.

Up for International Album of the Year this year are Mumford & Sons (Babel), Rod Stewart (Merry Christmas, Baby), Taylor Swift (Red), One Direction (Up All Night) and Maroon 5 (Overexposed), the latter coincidentally in Toronto today on-tour.

In addition to Canada’s Cream of the Crop in Music being at Regina’s Brandt Centre on JUNO Day, Megastar Michael Bublé will be performing a brand new Single that day.  Fans have been hungry for non-Christmas Music from the Crooner since his Crazy Love was released in 2009.

Also, Sony Music Canada, Universal Music Canada and Warner Music Canada are teaming together to release a Compilation Disc containing this year’s Nominees, titled The JUNO Awards 2013 Nominee Compilation, in-stores March 19, 2013.  Proceeds will go to MusiCounts, Canada’s Music Education Charity.
