Greta Gerwig is getting tons of buzz for her work in autobiographical LADYBIRD, which she directs. We spotted the super-gracious Gerwig and Laurie Metcalf whom you remember from Sitcom Roseanne. Star Saoirse Ronan unfortunately couldn’t make it in this year despite being scheduled.

He certainly loves Toronto. After having filmed Box Office Hit Red in Toronto back in 2010 and later having performed at Luminato shortly after with The Infernal Comedy, John Malkovich returns to the City early June for a string of performances in the Play, The Giacomo Variations. Taking place at the Elgin Theatre, based on the life of Italian Womanizer/Writer and Adventurer, Giacomo Casanova.
Details below:
It also has just announced that Malkovich will be appearing at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on Sunday, June 9, 2013 for their In Conversation With… Series (presumably during the day). Stay tuned for more details!
We had the pleasure of meeting Malkovich a couple years back. Click here for more on that.
The Giacomo Variations plays from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, 2013. Get your Tickets here.

“Why can’t I connect with people? Oh right, it’s because I’m dead.”.
Delightfully-quirky and based on the Novel of the same name by Isaac Marion, Warm Bodies is the latest effort from 50/50 Director/Screenwriter, Jonathan Levine. The Romantic Comedy-Horror stars Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy, A Single Man) and Breakout Stars Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love.) and Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four).
Montreal-filmed Warm Bodies centers around a Zombie known as R (Hoult), becomes involved with the Girlfriend (Palmer) of one of his Victims, quite possibly changing forever the world of the non-living.
Although the Young Adult/Teen Fantasy Genre increasingly is becoming crowded in 2013 with the upcoming releases of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Beautiful Creatures and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, this Film carves its own niche with walk on the funny and wild side and who better to helm this than Levine who brought us to laughter and tears with 2011 Cancer Comedy 50/50. This looks to be the right mixture of sweet and salty.
