How cool is it that this is filming in our City? Toronto’s Daniel Roher already has established himself as an Oscar-winning Filmmaker with his Documentary NAVALNY. He tries his hand at fiction with TUNER, a Crime Thriller filming around town which centers on a piano tuner who realizes his skills also can be applied towards cracking safes!
You know how much I adore HBO‘s THE WHITE LOTUS and we still haven’t forgotten English Actor Leo Woodall‘s amazing turn as Jack in season two of the acclaimed series. After stealing hearts on Netflix‘s ONE DAY, he steps-up to a leading role here in TUNER, having not long ago wrapped on NUREMBERG alongside Michael Shannon, Rami Malek and Russell Crowe. But most excitingly, he stars opposite Renee Zellweger in next year’s BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY. This is huge!
And did we mention that Woodall’s Co-Stars in TUNER include two-time Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman and rising star Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms, No Exit)?
Woodall has been spotted around town on weekends as his partner Meghann Fahy, who also starred in The White Lotus’ second season, has been in and out of the City visiting. They were spotted around Ossington together, turning heads!
So thrilled to finally meet Woodall as he was filming in St. James Town, so kind to stop for a selfie after a long day on-set. Liu also was on-set that day, and I’m ecstastic to have met her too. Have loved everything I’ve seen her in so far. Cannot wait for TUNER, which gets a Canadian release through Elevation Pictures.
