Thousands of Disney fans from around the world came together in Anaheim, Calif. yesterday for the start of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa. From an expanded show floor filled with immersive experiences and exclusive offerings at the Anaheim Convention Center, to the spectacular nighttime Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center, fans experienced a day packed with unforgettable moments, beloved stories, and exclusive first looks at what’s next from Disney’s world-class storytellers.
Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, kicked off last night’s event by welcoming fans to D23 and highlighting the extraordinary relationship that Disney has with fans across generations and around the world.
“Right now, nearly half a million people are in our parks and on our cruise ships. Millions more are watching our stories in theaters or at home. Someone right now is seeing ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway for the very first time,” D’Amaro said. “When you add it all up, Disney has something no other brand on Earth can claim. Last night, an array of Disney’s most celebrated storytellers, stars, filmmakers, creators, and performers took the stage at the Honda Center for the highly anticipated Disney Entertainment Showcase. Hosted by the stars of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 (2025), Ginnifer Goodwin and Academy Award® winner Ke Huy Quan, the evening featured surprise celebrity appearances, exclusive footage, stunning musical performances, major announcements, and first looks at upcoming projects spanning Disney’s film studios, television brands, streaming platforms, and live stage productions.
Dana Walden, President and Chief Creative Officer of The Walt Disney Company, opened the Disney Entertainment Showcase alongside one of the most iconic characters in television history, Bart Simpson. Having played a key role in the success of The Simpsons franchise over the entirety of her career, Walden presented a special sneak peek of the upcoming film, releasing in theatres September 3, 2027.
DISNEY ENTERTAINMENT TAKES CENTER STAGE

Oscar® winner Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey), who will be honored as a Disney Legend this Sunday, took to the stage to speak about what being a member of the Disney family has meant to her, dating back to the film that started it all: The Princess Diaries.
Maia Kealoha, Lilo from the live-action film Lilo & Stitch, entered the stage looking for her blue fugitive alien friend, Stitch, who surprised D23 attendees on the big screen with his new pink co-star, Angel. Lilo & Stitch 2, the sequel to the blockbuster film, which grossed over $1 billion at the box office in 2025, is scheduled to begin production in Hawaiʻi later this year, under the direction of Chris Sanders, who co-created, co-wrote, and directed the 2002 animated film. Sanders also provided the voice of Stitch in both the animated and live-action films. The producer is Jonathan Eirich, and the executive producers are Ryan Halperin and Tom Peitzman. Lilo & Stitch 2 will open in theatres May 26, 2028.
Disney’s showcase featured a brand-new teaser trailer and poster debut for The Bluey Movie, complete with a surprise game of Keepy Uppy for fans with giant versions of the iconic red balloons. The teaser trailer offers a first look at the CG-animated film based on the beloved series about Bluey, a lovable, inexhaustible blue heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad, and little sister, Bingo. The Bluey Movie takes place on an action-packed day when a big surprise changes everything for Bluey and her family. The film arrives in theatres on August 6, 2027. The Bluey Movie is written and directed by creator Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio in collaboration with BBC Studios, with distribution through Walt Disney Studios. The film is produced by Amber Naismith and co-directed by Richard Jeffery. Joe Brumm also serves as executive producer, alongside Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson for Ludo Studio, and Justine Flynn for BBC Studios. Returning voice talent includes Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit).
The herd is back! Ice Age: Boiling Point cast members Queen Latifah and Denis Leary took the stage, introducing an exclusive clip in-room for D23 attendees that featured Scrat, Baby Scrat, and which introduced their enormous, prehistoric cousin, Jurassic Scrat. The highly anticipated film is a dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), Sid (voiced by John Leguizamo), Diego (voiced by Denis Leary), Ellie (voiced by Queen Latifah), Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg), the acorn-obsessed trio of Scrat, Baby Scrat, and Jurassic Scrat, and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World. The film is directed by John C. Donkin (The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild), produced by Lori Forte (Ice Age, Ice Age: Collision Course) and releases exclusively in theatres February 5, 2027.
Mother Gothel, Kathryn Hahn (The Studio, Agatha All Along), entered the stage to talk about Tangled, a live-action retelling of the 2010 Disney animated film based on the Brothers Grimm Rapunzel fairy tale. The D23 audience was also treated to a taped message from Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Teagan Croft (Titans) and Milo Manheim (Zombies franchise), who are currently filming in Spain. The film is directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) and produced by Kristin Burr (Cruella) for Burr! Productions, with Lucy Kitada (Project Hail Mary) serving as executive producer. The film also stars Diego Luna (Andor) as a new character, Hawthorne, Caitríona Balfe (Outlander, Belfast) as Queen Arianna, Elliot Cowan (The Crown) as King Frederic, and Patrick and Hugo McPherson (Pear) as the Stabbington twins. Tangled will open in theatres March 31, 2028.
Hahn next introduced Disney Legend Jon Favreau (Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, The Jungle Book) to the stage. The creator, writer, co-director, and executive producer of Oswald, an all-new live-action animated hybrid series based on the classic character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, screened a clip for the room. When an earthquake releases Walt Disney’s creation, Oswald, who has been hidden away since the 1920s, a middle school boy and his friends try to help the cartoon rabbit navigate his way through the modern world. The series, which stars Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Ryder Allen, Al Madrigal, with Kathryn Hahn and Albert Brooks, is directed by Jon Favreau, Jude Weng, and Andrew R. Jones, written by Jon Favreau, based on the original Oswald the Lucky Rabbit by Walt Disney, and created by Jon Favreau. The executive producers are Jon Favreau, Andrew R. Jones, Karen Gilchrist, and John Bartnicki. Oswald will premiere February 17, 2027, exclusively on Disney+.
PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS
Alan Bergman, Chairman of Disney Entertainment, Studios, spoke on stage about Pixar and introduced its Chief Creative Officer, Pete Docter. Bergman shared how, as a young animator, Docter nearly took a job on The Simpsons before instead joining Pixar. “Pete and the team continue to deliver films with tremendous heart and humor,” Bergman said. “And this year they had the fantastic Hoppers as well as Toy Story 5—the biggest film in the franchise that started it all for Pixar.”
Pete Docter was given a rousing welcome as he kicked off the Pixar portion of the showcase, beginning with an exclusive first look at Disney and Pixar’s Incredibles 3, featuring the fan-favourite family of Supers back in action. Incredibles 3 is directed by Peter Sohn (Elemental), produced by Academy Award® winners Dana Murray (Soul) and Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and releases exclusively in theatres June 16, 2028.
Docter then unveiled updates for Disney and Pixar’s Coco 2. New concept art revealed Miguel as a teenager, before Docter was joined onstage by Benjamin Bratt (voice of Ernesto de la Cruz), confirming that the first film’s villain will reemerge in Coco 2, resulting in a life-changing return trip to the Land of the Dead for Miguel. Coco 2 reunites the team behind the original film, including Academy Award®-winning director Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) and co-director Adrian Molina (Coco). Oscar® winner Mark Nielsen (Toy Story 4) produces. Coco 2 will debut exclusively in theatres in November 2029. Shortly after, Disney & Pixar Games and SQUARE ENIX shared new details on KINGDOM HEARTS IV which will feature a world inspired by Coco, and a late 2027 release window.
It was next announced by Docter that Pixar is developing a brand-new original film titled Ghost Market. A clip from the film was shown in-room that introduces audiences to ʻOno Market, a little plate lunch shop hidden away in a remote location on Oʻahu’s North Shore that serves lost spirits, stuck between life and death. The living have never set foot in this place – until a fast-talking kid named Kyle blunders in and finds himself on an unexpected supernatural adventure. Ghost Market is directed by Trevor Jimenez (Weekends) and Jesse Andrews (Hoppers), produced by Academy Award® winner Becky Neiman-Cobb (Bao), and dated for theatrical release in March 2028.
Docter closed out Pixar Animation Studios’ portion of the program with a D23 exclusive look at Disney and Pixar’s March 5, 2027, theatrical release Gatto. In the upcoming animated adventure, the scrappy black cat Nero (voiced by Mark Ruffalo) begins to question whether he’s lived the right lives after years of maneuvering the canal-ridden, superstitious city of Venice, Italy. Indebted to Rocco (voiced by Laurence Fishburne), the ruthless local feline mob boss, Nero finds himself in a quandary and is forced to forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose – unless Venice gets the better of him first. Gatto is directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Andrea Warren, the filmmaking team behind Disney and Pixar’s Oscar®-nominated feature Luca.
20TH CENTURY STUDIOS
Romy and Michele, aka Mira Sorvino (American Crime Story, Mighty Aphrodite) and Lisa Kudrow (The Comeback, Friends), entered the stage to a shower of yellow Post-it notes to talk about Romy & Michele 2. The sequel to the beloved 1997 film is directed by Tim Federle, the screenwriter of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The film, which also stars Alan Cumming, Camryn Manheim, Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Huebel, Breckin Meyer, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Janeane Garofalo, will debut exclusively on Hulu on Disney+ in 2027.
MARVEL STUDIOS
Marvel Studios’ portion of the D23 showcase kicked off with the Vision himself, Paul Bettany (Avengers: Infinity War, Amadeus), who was joined by Ultron, James Spader (The Blacklist, Avengers: Age of Ultron), and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as they teased fans with a first look at the trailer and poster for Marvel Television’s VisionQuest, an all-new original series coming exclusively to Disney+ October 14, 2026, which concludes the epic trilogy that began with 2021’s groundbreaking, award-winning WandaVision and 2024’s acclaimed Agatha All Along. Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive. In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. Marvel Studios’ showcase presentation concluded on an electrifying note as Feige was joined onstage by Sadie Sink, who debuted as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and director Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*), to discuss the all-new X-Men film in development. The trio then welcomed Sink’s new castmates to the stage: Kit Connor (Heartstopper) as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott (Catch-22) as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette (Obsession) as Rogue, and Maya Boyd (& Juliet) as Storm. In a special video recording, Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) announced that he will play Nathaniel Milbury. The untitled X-Men film will be released exclusively in theatres May 5, 2028.
Finally, Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, a new trailer from the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine debuted during the showcase. Marvel’s Wolverine is coming to PlayStation 5 on September 15th.
LUCASFILM
Series creator and Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars), along with stars Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian, Rent), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Shattered Glass), and Eman Esfandi (Spider-Man: Brand New Day, King Richard), debuted the teaser trailer for Season 2 of Lucasfilm’s Emmy® Award-winning series Ahsoka, which will premiere January 20, 2027, exclusively on Disney+. The new season, which once again stars Rosario Dawson in the titular role, is a story set after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic, which has Ahsoka confronting what it means to be a Jedi, while the galaxy faces a formidable opponent in Grand Admiral Thrawn. Season 2 continues the story of Ahsoka Tano and her extraordinary journey beyond the known galaxy. As Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren travel across a mysterious and perilous world to find their way home, their friends Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper must face the powerful Grand Admiral Thrawn and his sinister allies, who seek to plunge the New Republic into war.
Director/producer Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine, Stranger Things) from Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Starfighter came to the stage to talk about the all-new theatrical adventure opening in theatres nationwide May 28, 2027, and invited Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary, Barbie), the star of the new film, to join him. Gosling entered wearing a retro Mickey Mouse Club leather jacket, following a video of him from his days as a Mouseketeer, before Levy presented him with a special leather jacket featuring an important symbol from the movie. The duo then screened a sizzle/teaser exclusively for the room. When a cynical rogue is confronted by his mysterious past, he is hurled into a dangerous adventure across the galaxy that puts him on a crash course with destiny. The film also stars Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, Flynn Gray, and Amy Adams. Star Wars: Starfighter is written by Jonathan Tropper, produced by Shawn Levy and Kathleen Kennedy, with Ryan Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen serving as executive producers.

The evening’s hosts and the stars of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ record-breaking smash hit Zootopia 2, Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Judy Hopps) and Academy Award® winner Ke Huy Quan (voice of Gary De’Snake), were joined on stage by Disney Animation Chief Creative Officer and Oscar® winner Jared Bush (Encanto, Zootopia). The trio revealed that Zootopia 3 is officially in early development at the studio and screened an exclusive custom sequence for the elated D23 audience. Release timing for Zootopia 3 will be announced at a later date.
Bush next revealed that production is underway on an all-new original feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios called Clay (working title), and that Academy Award® winner Kieran Culkin (Succession, A Real Pain) will star in the leading role as the voice of Flip. Bush debuted exclusive concept art for the D23 audience and shared that the original animated adventure is set in a magical forest full of fantastical creatures. When the rebellious misfit Flip is unwillingly chosen during a yearly ritual to mentor a young, impressionable ball of clay named Mushy, the unlikely duo is swept into a chaotic, funny, and ultimately life-changing adventure. Clay is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn (Disney’s Hexed, Lilo & Scratch) and produced by Academy Award® winner Peter Del Vecho (Frozen, Frozen 2). Clay releases exclusively in theatres in 2028.
In a significant casting update for the studio’s November 25, 2026, original magical coming-of-age saga Disney’s Hexed, Bush was joined onstage by Hailee Steinfeld (Sinners, True Grit), the previously announced voice of the film’s lead Billie Doe, an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl who discovers secret magical abilities. The two then welcomed Walton Goggins (Fallout, The White Lotus) to the stage as it was revealed he will voice the new character Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, magical three-eyed cat who forges an uneasy alliance with Billie and her cautious mother Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones) as they embark on a spectacle-filled journey out of suburbia and into a vast magical realm called Hexe. An exclusive piece featuring Beef Roger Crummchuk was shown in-room. Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster next took the stage as it was revealed that she will voice Queen Celeste, a sinister figure who will stop at nothing to maintain her power in perpetuity over Hexe. Disney’s Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn (Wish) and Jason Hand (Moana 2), co-directed by Josie Trinidad (Zootopia+), and produced by Oscar® winners Roy Conli (Big Hero 6) and Yvett Merino (Encanto).
Closing out D23 in an electrifying grand finale were Frozen 3 cast members Kristen Bell (voice of Anna) and Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa), who performed a new version of the song “Frozen Heart,” and Josh Gad (voice of Olaf), who performed a new love song for Olaf’s first crush, titled “Ooooh, Samantha.” Both songs are written by Academy Award®-winning composer duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen, Coco, Frozen 2). In the final surprise of the night, the trio unveiled all-new animation of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, which hinted at a new villainess whose powers rival those of Elsa’s. In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen 3, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf return for their next adventure. Frozen 3 is directed by Academy Award® winner Jennifer Lee (Frozen, Frozen 2) and Trent Correy (Once Upon a Studio, Once Upon a Snowman, Zootopia+), produced by Christina Chen (Moana 2, Iwájú), and releases in theatres on November 24, 2027.

Before Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro gave his opening remarks, the showcase began with a spectacular number choreographed by the visionary Mandy Moore that featured the Dancing with the Stars pros along with more than 50 additional dancers. It was a dazzling start to the presentation, setting the tone for the scale and artistry fans have come to expect from D23.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians lit up the Honda Center stage in a moment inspired by the upcoming third season’s ‘Titan’s Curse’ – with an army of Artemis’s hunters who introduced Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson) alongside surprise guests Ming-Na Wen (Hera) and Andra Day (Athena) to debut the official teaser trailer for season three, coming to Disney+ November 20, 2026.
Kingdom Hearts (working title), an original anime series inspired by the globally beloved video game franchise, has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. Developed in partnership with legendary video game creator Tetsuya Nomura, the series reimagines the iconic adventure with a brand-new story that will expand on the universe of Kingdom Hearts while celebrating the characters that have captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world. National Geographic transported the Honda Center at D23 to Kenya’s Maasai Mara, immersing fans in the wild before spotlighting the trailer for LION to roaring applause. Executive Producers Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton of BBC Studios Natural History Unit took the stage to introduce the series and share the remarkable true story behind it, filmed over four years following a real pride and a single cub, Kio, on his journey to becoming king. Camp Rock 3 executive producers and stars Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas took to the stage to introduce a powerhouse musical performance of “One Beat Away” and “We Rock” performed by next generation stars Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Hudson Stone, Lumi Pollack, and Casey Trotter. Camp Rock 3 is now streaming on Disney+.

Disney Theatrical Group announced that, following its sell-out run at The Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year, their brand-new stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman, based on the 2017 smash-hit film, with songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Tim Federle, and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, will premiere at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London’s West End in spring 2027. The Greatest Showman continues DTG’s longstanding association with LW Theatres’ historic venue since it reopened following its extensive restoration completed in 2021.
The Greatest Showman will feature the West End stars who performed at tonight’s Entertainment Showcase, Oliver Tompsett (P.T. Barnum), Samantha Barks (Charity Barnum), and Malinda Parris (Lettie Lutz). The overall event kicked off with a day full of incredible presentations and panels, including behind-the-scenes looks at fan-favourite shows like Bob’s Burgers and The Simpsons, as well as celebrating the anniversaries of some beloved films like Enchanted and Beauty and the Beast. Fans of the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game and Disney Pin Trading were treated to a deep dive while National Geographic brought guests closer to the making of the magic. The day ended with a Disney Rewind Concert celebrating some cherished songs from Disney classics from the ‘80s and ‘90s performed by Disney Legends, including Jodi Benson and Bill Farmer, as well as incoming Disney Legend Susan Egan.

Disney and Formula 1® announced a significant extension of “Fuel the Magic,” taking the fan-fueled collaboration through 2028, adding a full new season beyond the original plan. Launched in 2025, “Fuel the Magic” blends Disney storytelling and racing fandom through immersive experiences, engaging content, and bespoke merchandise for fans around the world. The extension builds on the momentum the relationship has generated since its launch and is designed to engage and expand the sport’s increasingly younger and more energized fan base.
Mundo Pixar Experience, the world’s largest immersive Pixar experience, announced its first-ever U.S. tour, launching in 2027. Major Moments & Announcements from Today’s Showcase
After revealing earlier this year that a brand-new “Ice Age” big screen adventure was in production, the new title and release date were officially announced as part of the day’s program. “Ice Age: Boiling Point,” due in theatres on February 5, 2027, is a dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.
PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s beloved classic “Toy Story,” the cornerstone film will be re-released in theatres beginning September 12, 2025, giving audiences the unique chance to experience the groundbreaking animated adventure in its original format.
Fans were thrilled to hear that Buzz Lightyear will once again fly to infinity and beyond during this year’s 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The iconic new Buzz balloon features a brand-new design and returns to the skies of Manhattan for the first time since 2013.
In further “Toy Story” news, Pixar unveiled a sneak peek of “Toy Story 5,” coming to theatres June 19, 2026. Fans got a first look at Smarty Pants, the character voiced by comedy legend Conan O’Brien, and, after hearing exclusive story details, Pixar surprised the elated crowd by screening the film’s opening three minutes. In “Toy Story 5,” the toys are back and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with today…electronics! “Toy Story 5” is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi.
Pixar also gave a special sneak preview of the upcoming original comedy “Hoppers,” due in theatres March 6, 2026. The heartwarming and hilarious action adventure follows Mabel, a nature loving college student whose mission to bring the animals back to a glade that’s very important to her is at direct odds with the mayor’s plan to build a highway through it. When a new technology allows her to “hop” into the body of a robotic beaver, wild surprises await. Director Daniel Chong and producer Nicole Paradis Grindle were joined onstage by Piper Curda (voice of Mabel) and Bobby Moynihan (voice of King George) to the audience’s delight. Fans roared with laughter throughout a funny presentation that included three exclusive clips from the upcoming feature.

The audience burst into cheers when it was announced for the first time that the original music from Disney’s highly anticipated upcoming October 10, 2025 release “TRON: Ares” – the first film score composed as a group by pioneering industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails – will soon be featured in the TRON Lightcycle Run attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort for a limited time. Worlds will collide when the red overlay and music from Nine Inch Nails debut at TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise at Walt Disney World on September 15th and at TRON Lightcycle Power Run presented by Chevrolet at Shanghai Disney Resort on September 16th.
Fans were ecstatic to also learn that for the first time Disney has fully remastered the original 1982 cult classic “TRON” and the 2010 sequel “TRON: Legacy” in 4K Ultra HD. Both ground-breaking features will be available everywhere on digital and Blu-ray™ SteelBook™ beginning Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
“TRON: Ares” follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges. Jared Bush, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, was given a warm welcome when he took the stage and exclusively revealed the title, project details and a brand-new animated logo for the studio’s November 2026 original feature Disney’s “Hexed” to the fired-up crowd’s delight. In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new animated film, “Hexed,” an awkward teenage boy and his Type – A mom discover that what makes him unusual, might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down. Disney’s “Hexed” opens in theatres November 2026. The feature is directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand, with Roy Conli and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones producing.
Bush also presented several exciting updates on behalf of “Zootopia 2,” for which Bush is director (with Byron Howard) and writer, announcing that Yvette Nicole Brown will join the cast of the highly anticipated November 26, 2025 animated release in two cameos as The Bearoness and EMT Otter. Fans were overjoyed when Patrick Warburton stepped onstage and revealed for the first time that he will provide the voice of Mayor Winddancer, a charismatic but clueless stallion who dreams of being as heroic in real life as the characters he once played on television. Bush introduced multiple exclusive clips from the upcoming feature to wild applause and was joined in-person onstage by characters Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and Clawhauser.
In “Zootopia 2,” rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. Disney fans in attendance were excited to learn that an all-new animated feature from the world of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is coming exclusively to Disney+ on December 5, 2025. Series creator Jeff Kinney sent a special recorded message for fans and introduced a never-before-seen clip from the new film, officially titled “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw.”

Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Marvel Studios treated the crowd to insight, sneak peeks, trailers and surprises spotlighting upcoming films and streaming series. The extraordinary D23 fan event, taking place through tomorrow at The Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, features extensive programming with diverse panels and presentations, offerings on the show floor and the D23 Brazil Store Mercado Libre.
Otaviano Costa and Carol Moreira once again served as event hosts, welcoming mega stars to the stage, including Rami Malek (“The Amateur”), Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio (“Daredevil: Born Again”), David Harbour (“Thunderbolts*”) and Anthony Mackie and Danny Ramirez (“Captain America: Brave New World”). Also on hand were director James Cameron (“Avatar: Fire and Ash”)—live from New Zealand—and Marvel Studios execs Kevin Feige, producer and president, and Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television and animation. Together, they revved up the São Paulo crowd and celebrated the upcoming slate from The Walt Disney Studios.

-Star Jude Law greeted fans in a pre-recorded message before introducing a special look at “Skeleton Crew,” a brand-new Star Wars series launching on Monday, December 2, 2024 the first two episodes arriving at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST
-Representing Season Two of the critically acclaimed, Emmy®-nominated “Andor” droid B2 EMO rolled on stage to meet the D23 Brazil fans, who went wild. The Disney+ launch date—April 22, 2025—was revealed, and the crowd got a special look at the series. “Andor,” the acclaimed thriller, returns for its long-awaited conclusion. The 12 episodes of Season Two carry the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance over the climactic four years that lead to the discovery of The Death Star and the events of “Rogue One.” Season One followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer. “Andor” Season Two will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the way to his epic destiny. From the very first scene, Cassian’s story has activated an ever-widening ensemble of allies and enemies. Season Two will see these relationships intensify as the horizon of galactic war draws near. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.
-In a pre-recorded video, director Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni introduced the audience to a special sneak peek of Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” the upcoming Star Wars feature film that will open in theatres on May 22, 2026. Starring Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Favreau, Filoni and Ian Bryce, this exciting new adventure in the Mandalorian and Grogu’s journey is currently in production.
20TH CENTURY STUDIOS’ two upcoming feature films wowed the D23 crowd.
-Star and producer Rami Malek hit the stage to share details about “The Amateur” and a special look. The action-packed espionage-thriller opens in theatres nationwide April 11, 2025. The crowd was the first to see a new trailer for the film that introduces Charlie Heller (Malek), a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible.
-Disney Legend James Cameron joined fans live from New Zealand to discuss “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” and shared five new pieces of early concept art from the new film. “Avatar: Fire and Ash” takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family. The movie opens exclusively in theatres Dec. 19, 2025. Concept art is now available.
MARVEL STUDIOS’ Kevin Feige thanked fans for the huge success of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which had a record-breaking run at the box office this year, and hits Disney+ on Nov. 12. He shared a special greeting from the film’s star and producer, Ryan Reynolds.
“Captain America: Brave New World” stars Anthony Mackie, who makes his big-screen debut as Captain America, and the Falcon himself, Danny Ramirez, came on stage to talk about the film, which releases in theatres on Feb. 14, 2025, and share a clip and brand-new trailer with the Brazil D23 audience. The audience was the first to see an exclusive trailer and poster celebrating the third and final season of the popular series “What If…?” The culmination of the adventure through time and space, season three sees classic characters making unexpected choices that will mutate their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the MCU. Traversing genres, bigger spectacles and new characters, the series launches Dec. 22. The trailer will be available to share on Monday, Nov. 11.
The crowd got a sneak peek at Marvel Animation’s “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” a new, original, animated series that streams beginning Jan. 29, 2025, follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio surprised fans when they hit the stage to share details and a special look at Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” which launches on Disney+ March 4, 2025. Cox plays a blind lawyer with heightened abilities who’s fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk, played by D’Onofrio, pursues his own political endeavors in New York.

Thousands of fans brought enthusiasm and support to Arena D23 by Bradesco/Visa at D23 Brazil – A Disney Experience as Disney live action, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios revealed new details, shared exclusive footage and new trailers, and surprised the crowd with special appearances from global talent and local voices. The extraordinary D23 fan event, taking place through Nov. 10 at The Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, features extensive programming with diverse panels and presentations, offerings on the show floor and the D23 Brazil Store Mercado Libre.
Hosted by Otaviano Costa and Carol Moreira, the event welcomed studio leaders, including Jared Bush, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer, and Jonas Rivera, executive vice president of film production at Pixar, plus “Mufasa: The Lion King” director Barry Jenkins. But it was the enthusiastic São Paulo crowd that really turned up the volume of the celebration of The Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming theatrical releases and streaming titles.
D23 Brazil fans were delighted with the announcement that “Ice Age 6” is officially in production. Manny, Diego, Ellie, Sid, Scrat and Baby Scrat are heading back to the big screen in an epic animated adventure. A short video to celebrate the announcement was also released featuring returning cast members Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo, who will also be joined by Denis Leary and Simon Pegg in the new film. DISNEY LIVE ACTION celebrated Brazilian performer Carlos Junior aka Ca Ju, who joined singers on stage for “The Circle of Life” from “The Lion King.”
-Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King”director Barry Jenkins greeted excited fans, offering details about the all-new story that explores the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands. Fans were the first to see a new trailer for the film that opens nationwide in teatres on Dec. 20. Trailer and film stills are available to download and share.
-Rachel Zegler, star of “Disney’s Snow White,” a live-action reimagining of the classic tale, gave a magical shout-out via video to the D23 Brazil attendees, who were treated to an exclusive new trailer. Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy will join the fairest of them all in theatres on March 21, 2025.
-The crowd caught a glimpse of the fan-favorite fugitive alien from Disney’s much-anticipated feature “Lilo & Stitch.” The live-action reimagining of the animated classic about the lonely Hawaiian girl and her new, out-of-this-world alien friend who helps mend her broken family opens in theatres on May 23, 2025. PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS’ Jonas Riverathanked fans for their support of “Inside Out 2”—the highest grossing animated film of all time that currently tops the list of highest grossing films released in 2024 (worldwide).
–“Dream Productions,” a new limited series from the world of “Inside Out,” returns to the Riley’s mind where a team of directors hope to find the next hit dream. Fans were treated to a special look at the series, plus the very first episode in its entirety. All four episodes begin streaming on Disney+ on Dec. 11, 2024.
–“Win or Lose,” an all-new original series launching on Disney+ Feb. 19, 2025, features the intertwined stories of different characters as they each prepare for their championship softball game. The audience was given a sneak peek of the winning series.
-The D23 Brazil audience was the first to see an exclusive new trailer in the works for Pixar’s upcoming feature film “Elio,” which opens in theatres June 13, 2025. Fans learned more about Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination who gets beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization that mistakes him for Earth’s leader.

Excited attendees of the studio showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event were the first to see the decidedly dark and mysterious new trailer and poster for Marvel Television’s “Agatha All Along”—cast members Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone joined together on stage to sing the Sacred Chant version of the series’ theme song “The Ballad of the Witches Road” by Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who, along with cast member Aubrey Plaza, joined Kevin Feige on stage. Fans attending the studio showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event just got a look at the teaser trailer and poster for “Disney’s Snow White,” which opens exclusively in theatres March 21, 2025. Stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, who portray Snow White and the Evil Queen, respectively, were on hand to give fans exclusive details about the production and share a first look at the Whistle While You Work scene.
“Disney’s Snow White” is a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 film. Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, “Mufasa: The Lion King” enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Surprise celebrity appearances, new film and series titles, and major musical performances enthralled the audience of Disney fans from around the world, demonstrating the unmatched strength of the company’s creative studios, as well as the unique connection that generations of passionate fans of all ages have forged with its stories and characters over the past century.

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS welcomes back to the big screen fan-favourite characters in a trio of all-new feature films coming to theatres beginning this fall.
Disney Animation’s “Moana 2” kicked off the showcase with a crowd-pleasing performance by the phenomenal voice of Moana herself, Auli‘i Cravalho, alongside dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia. Fans were among the first ever to hear “We’re Back,” an all-new song written by Grammy®-winning songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear—one of several new songs to be featured in the film that reunites Moana and Maui for an expansive new voyage. Following the performance, Dwayne Johnson, the inimitable voice of demigod Maui, hit the stage to greet fans and drum up excitement, revealing for the first time a new trailer and poster, which are now available. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, the new film opens only in theatres on Nov. 27, 2024.
Fans went wild for the studio’s highly anticipated follow-up to “Zootopia,” 2016’s Oscar®-winning feature film. Disney Animation’s Jennifer Lee, who wrote and directed 2013’s Oscar-winning “Frozen” and its 2019 follow-up, shared a brief tease and concept art for “Frozen 3,” which comes exclusively to movie theatres in 2027.
AVATAR continues to enchant and excite global audiences, and franchise creator James Cameron was on site to share details about the next chapter.
The excited crowd offered a warm D23 welcome to Cameron, who will become an official Disney Legend this weekend. Joined by “Avatar” stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, Cameron revealed for the first time the title of the third film in the remarkably successful “Avatar” franchise: “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” which takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Saldaña) and the Sully family. Directed by Cameron, the new film from 20th Century Studios and Lightstorm Entertainment also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss and Bailey Bass. “Avatar: Fire and Ash” opens exclusively in theatres nationwide December 19, 2025.
PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS’ Pete Docter invited fans inside his own mind where his Emotions were both grateful—“Inside Out 2” recently became the number-one animated film of all time—and excited about what’s next from the studio.
Docter revealed the official launch date of Pixar’s first original series “Win or Lose,” which begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ on Dec. 6, 2024. Directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, the new series reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—as they prepare for a championship softball game. Will Forte lends his voice to the coach. Some fans will get to see the first two episodes at D23 Backlot stage tomorrow. A sneak peek and teaser poster are now available.
Coming to Disney+ in 2025 is “Dream Productions,” a just-announced series from the world of “Inside Out” about the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true thanks to acclaimed dream director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell). Written and directed by Mike Jones and produced by Jaclyn Simon, the four-episode series also features the voices of Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. Logo and concept art are now available. The D23 audience was cosmically chosen to learn more about Pixar’s upcoming feature film “Elio.” Directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi and Adrian Molina, the new adventure follows Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination, who gets beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization that mistakes him for Earth’s leader. Greeting fans were the voice of Elio himself, Yonas Kibreab, and Zoe Saldaña, who lends her voice to Elio’s Aunt Olga. Coming to theatres in 2026 is “Hoppers,” an all-new film from Pixar that introduces Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic animal: an adorable beaver. Directed by Daniel Chong and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, “Hoppers” features the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm. A film logo and concept art are now available.
It’s been almost 30 years since audiences first met Buzz and Woody and what a journey they’ve had! The D23 crowd was elated to hear about Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” when Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton, who’s worked on every “Toy Story” film and helms the new movie, greeted fans and offered a few clues about the new story. This time around, it’s Toy meets Tech when Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder as they go head to head with this all-new threat to playtime. Co-directed by McKenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi, “Toy Story 5” opens only in theatres on June 19, 2026. The film logo and concept art are now available.
Docter had one final announcement before he bid adieu. Fans’ favourite Super-family is heading back to the big screen—“Incredibles 3” is officially in the works at Pixar Animation Studios with Oscar®-winning filmmaker Brad Bird currently developing the film. The I3 badge is now available.
DISNEY ON BROADWAY celebrated its 30th anniversary with a thrilling medley of performances and exclusive announcements from its hit stage musicals. Highlights included “The Lion King,” “Aladdin” and “Hercules,” which will open in London’s West End in summer 2025. The event also featured news about “The Greatest Showman,” currently in development for a stage musical adaptation, and “Frozen,” which was filmed on stage and will premiere on Disney+ in 2025. Samantha Barks, who will star as Elsa, dazzled the audience with a powerful rendition of “Let It Go.”

Season two of “Andor” is on the horizon and star Diego Luna joined fans at D23 to build excitement for the follow-up to the critically acclaimed, Emmy®-nominated first season of the Lucasfilm series. “Andor” Season 2 will continue to follow Cassian Andor over the period of four years as he grows into the rebel hero we see fulfill his destiny in “Rogue One.” The second season will launch on Disney+ in 2025.
Director Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni offered a special sneak peek of Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” the upcoming Star Wars feature film that will open in theatres on May 22, 2026. Launching on Disney+ in March 2025, Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again” catches up with Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, and his nemesis, Wilson Fisk, who’s pursuing his own political endeavors in New York. The crowd erupted when Feige invited stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Jon Bernthal to the stage to talk a little about the upcoming show before sharing footage with D23 attendees. Fans were excited to learn—and see—a little more about Marvel’s First Family and the retro-futuristic vibe the new movie is embracing. Stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah and Alden Ehrenreich offered insight and a look at some footage of the new series that launches on the streamer in 2025. Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos). “TRON: Ares” stars Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee, Evan Peters and Jared Leto garnered huge applause from the audience—Leto, who portrays Ares, hit the stage in style alongside an iconic Lightcycle. Cast members shared details about their characters as well as an in-room-only early look. After a sonic assault, lasers burned into the screens, which parted to reveal “music by NINE INCH NAILS.” Slated for theatrical release on Oct. 10, 2025, “TRON: Ares” follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. Fans gave a warm welcome to Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, the stars of the upcoming “Freaky Friday” follow-up—who revealed to fans for the first time the sequel’s official title, “Freakier Friday,” which heads to theatres in 2025. Directed by Nisha Ganatra and produced by Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn and Curtis, the new film picks up years after Curtis and Lohan’s characters, Tess and Anna, first endured an identity crisis: Anna has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate challenges that come when two families merge, they discover that lightning might indeed strike twice. “Freakier Friday” also stars Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao. Executive producers are Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin and Lohan. The logo for the film is now available.
Dwayne Johnson and Alan Bergman revealed that a new movie is in the works about monster trucks, leaning into the popularity of monster jam truck rallies and celebrating the biggest motorsport event in the world. Johnson will produce via his Seven Bucks Productions.

The highly anticipated D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event kicked off this morning at the Anaheim Convention Center with spectacular programming and immersive show floor offerings that brought fans closer to beloved stories from across the worlds of Disney.Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino hosted the Music of Marvel panel, where he was joined by composers Christophe Beck and Laura Karpman, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and music supervisors Dave Jordan and Justine von Winterfeldt to talk about their favourite scores, songs, and needle drops from Marvel Studios’ movies and series. During the panel, Laura Karpman (“The Marvels,” “Ms. Marvel,” “American Fiction”) announced that she would be composing the score for the upcoming feature film, “Captain America: Brave New World,” and Michael Giacchino previewed his score for the upcoming Marvel Studios film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Also during the Music of Marvel Studios presentation, Disney Music Group President Ken Bunt presented a Diamond plaque to Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez commemorating the groundbreaking achievement that “Let It Go” from Walt Disney Records’ “Frozen” Original Soundtrack has been RIAA® certified Diamond, signifying $10 Million in sales. “Let It Go” is the first Diamond Award recipient for Walt Disney Records.
Disney Experiences announced that Ron Clements’ memoir, “Making Disney Magic . . . from a Mermaid to Moana: Tales from a Disney Animation Director” will be released in July 2025 from Disney Publishing. With a foreword by his creative partner, co-writer, and co-director John Musker, this robust and illustrated memoir by a 45-year iconic filmmaker reveals his journey to discover his own voice, to hone his strengths, and to become a key storyteller and a pivotal leader at Walt Disney Animation Studios for more than four decades. Platinum recording artist Simple Plan enthralled fans with a full set of some of their most popular music through the years, as well as their newly released cover of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from the upcoming Mickey & Friends pop-punk album, A Whole New Sound. Mickey Mouse joined the band on stage to share in his love of music.
There was excitement today at the Lucasfilm Pavilion, when a new trailer was unveiled for “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.” Showrunners, writers, executive producers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit were on hand at the Lucasfilm booth along with executive producer and Lucasfilm senior vice president, Franchise Content & Strategy James Waugh to offer fans more information about the animated special that sees the entire Star Wars Galaxy get completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together.
The voice cast includes Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Ahmed Best and a special guest appearance by Mark Hamill, who is also a consulting producer. The full cast was announced at the filmmakers’ presentation, including Naomi Ackie, Anthony Daniels, Kelly Marie Tran, Billy Dee Williams, Dee Bradley Baker, TC Carson, Trevor Devall, Jake Green, Jennifer Hale, Phil LaMarr, Ross Marquand, Piotr Michael, Kevin Michael Richardson, Helen Sadler, Matt Sloan, Matthew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Shelby Young. The special is directed by Chris Buckley, and Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler and Keith Malone are the executive producers. “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” debuts with all four “pieces” on Sept. 13, exclusively on Disney+.
