Destination D23 is a one-of-a-kind event taking place from August 29 through 31, 2025 bringing together some of the biggest Disney fans for a multi-day experience featuring exclusive programming, events, shopping and more.
Host Yvette Nicole Brown kicked off the celebratory event held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, setting the stage for a lively program full of exclusive announcements and previews. She was joined onstage throughout the Disney Entertainment Showcase by many of Disneyâs esteemed creatives and celebrity guests to discuss the studioâs upcoming projects, announce new film titles and release dates, and show the captivated audience a sneak peek at the companyâs exhilarating upcoming projects.
Major Moments & Announcements from Todayâs Showcase
After revealing earlier this year that a brand-new âIce Ageâ big screen adventure was in production, the new title and release date were officially announced as part of the dayâs program. âIce Age: Boiling Point,â due in theatres on February 5, 2027, is a dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.
PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Disney and Pixarâs beloved classic âToy Story,â the cornerstone film will be re-released in theatres beginning September 12, 2025, giving audiences the unique chance to experience the groundbreaking animated adventure in its original format.
Fans were thrilled to hear that Buzz Lightyear will once again fly to infinity and beyond during this yearâs 99th Macyâs Thanksgiving Day ParadeÂź. The iconic new Buzz balloon features a brand-new design and returns to the skies of Manhattan for the first time since 2013.
In further âToy Storyâ news, Pixar unveiled a sneak peek of âToy Story 5,â coming to theatres June 19, 2026. Fans got a first look at Smarty Pants, the character voiced by comedy legend Conan OâBrien, and, after hearing exclusive story details, Pixar surprised the elated crowd by screening the filmâs opening three minutes. In âToy Story 5,â the toys are back and this time itâs Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with todayâŠelectronics! âToy Story 5â is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi.
Pixar also gave a special sneak preview of the upcoming original comedy âHoppers,â due in theatres March 6, 2026. The heartwarming and hilarious action adventure follows Mabel, a nature loving college student whose mission to bring the animals back to a glade thatâs very important to her is at direct odds with the mayorâs plan to build a highway through it. When a new technology allows her to âhopâ into the body of a robotic beaver, wild surprises await. Director Daniel Chong and producer Nicole Paradis Grindle were joined onstage by Piper Curda (voice of Mabel) and Bobby Moynihan (voice of King George) to the audienceâs delight. Fans roared with laughter throughout a funny presentation that included three exclusive clips from the upcoming feature.
WALT DISNEY PICTURES
The audience burst into cheers when it was announced for the first time that the original music from Disneyâs highly anticipated upcoming October 10, 2025 release âTRON: Aresâ â the first film score composed as a group by pioneering industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails â will soon be featured in the TRON Lightcycle Run attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort for a limited time. Worlds will collide when the red overlay and music from Nine Inch Nails debut at TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise at Walt Disney World on September 15th and at TRON Lightcycle Power Run presented by Chevrolet at Shanghai Disney Resort on September 16th.
Fans were ecstatic to also learn that for the first time Disney has fully remastered the original 1982 cult classic âTRONâ and the 2010 sequel âTRON: Legacyâ in 4K Ultra HD. Both ground-breaking features will be available everywhere on digital and Blu-rayâą SteelBookâą beginning Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
âTRON: Aresâ follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankindâs first encounter with A.I. beings. The film is directed by Joachim RĂžnning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges. WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS
Jared Bush, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, was given a warm welcome when he took the stage and exclusively revealed the title, project details and a brand-new animated logo for the studioâs November 2026 original feature Disneyâs âHexedâ to the fired-up crowdâs delight. In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new animated film, âHexed,â an awkward teenage boy and his Type – A mom discover that what makes him unusual, might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down. Disneyâs âHexedâ opens in theatres November 2026. The feature is directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand, with Roy Conli and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones producing.
Bush also presented several exciting updates on behalf of âZootopia 2,â for which Bush is director (with Byron Howard) and writer, announcing that Yvette Nicole Brown will join the cast of the highly anticipated November 26, 2025 animated release in two cameos as The Bearoness and EMT Otter. Fans were overjoyed when Patrick Warburton stepped onstage and revealed for the first time that he will provide the voice of Mayor Winddancer, a charismatic but clueless stallion who dreams of being as heroic in real life as the characters he once played on television. Bush introduced multiple exclusive clips from the upcoming feature to wild applause and was joined in-person onstage by characters Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and Clawhauser.
In âZootopia 2,â rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary DeâSnake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. Disney fans in attendance were excited to learn that an all-new animated feature from the world of âDiary of a Wimpy Kidâ is coming exclusively to Disney+ on December 5, 2025. Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Marvel Studios treated the crowd to insight, sneak peeks, trailers and surprises spotlighting upcoming films and streaming series. The extraordinary D23 fan event, taking place through tomorrow at The Transamerica Expo Center in SĂŁo Paulo, Brazil, features extensive programming with diverse panels and presentations, offerings on the show floor and the D23 Brazil Store Mercado Libre.
Otaviano Costa and Carol Moreira once again served as event hosts, welcoming mega stars to the stage, including Rami Malek (âThe Amateurâ), Charlie Cox and Vincent DâOnofrio (âDaredevil: Born Againâ), David Harbour (âThunderbolts*â) and Anthony Mackie and Danny Ramirez (âCaptain America: Brave New Worldâ). -Representing Season Two of the critically acclaimed, EmmyÂź-nominated âAndorâ droid B2 EMO rolled on stage to meet the D23 Brazil fans, who went wild. The Disney+ launch dateâApril 22, 2025âwas revealed, and the crowd got a special look at the series. âAndor,â the acclaimed thriller, returns for its long-awaited conclusion. The 12 episodes of Season Two carry the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance over the climactic four years that lead to the discovery of The Death Star and the events of âRogue One.â Season One followed Cassianâs reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer. âAndorâ Season Two will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the way to his epic destiny. 20TH CENTURY STUDIOSâ two upcoming feature films wowed the D23 crowd.
-Star and producer Rami Malek hit the stage to share details about âThe Amateurâ and a special look. The action-packed espionage-thriller opens in theatres nationwide April 11, 2025. The crowd was the first to see a new trailer for the film that introduces Charlie Heller (Malek), a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible.
-Disney Legend James Cameron joined fans live from New Zealand to discuss âAvatar: Fire and Ash,â and shared five new pieces of early concept art from the new film. âAvatar: Fire and Ashâ takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Naâvi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Naâvi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family. The movie opens exclusively in theatres Dec. 19, 2025. Concept art is now available.

The crowd got a sneak peek at Marvel Animationâs âYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,â a new, original, animated series that streams beginning Jan. 29, 2025, follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike weâve ever seen and a style that celebrates the characterâs early comic book roots.
Charlie Cox and Vincent DâOnofrio surprised fans when they hit the stage to share details and a special look at Marvel Televisionâs âDaredevil: Born Again,â which launches on Disney+ March 4, 2025. D23 Brazil fans were delighted with the announcement that âIce Age 6â is officially in production. Manny, Diego, Ellie, Sid, Scrat and Baby Scrat are heading back to the big screen in an epic animated adventure. A short video to celebrate the announcement was also released featuring returning cast members Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo, who will also be joined by Denis Leary and Simon Pegg in the new film. DISNEY LIVE ACTION celebrated Brazilian performer Carlos Junior aka Ca Ju, who joined singers on stage for âThe Circle of Lifeâ from âThe Lion King.â
-Disneyâs âMufasa: The Lion Kingâdirector Barry Jenkins greeted excited fans, offering details about the all-new story that explores the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands. Fans were the first to see a new trailer for the film that opens nationwide in teatres on Dec. 20. Trailer and film stills are available to download and share.
-Rachel Zegler, star of âDisneyâs Snow White,â a live-action reimagining of the classic tale, gave a magical shout-out via video to the D23 Brazil attendees, who were treated to an exclusive new trailer. Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy will join the fairest of them all in theatres on March 21, 2025.
-The crowd caught a glimpse of the fan-favorite fugitive alien from Disneyâs much-anticipated feature âLilo & Stitch.â The live-action reimagining of the animated classic about the lonely Hawaiian girl and her new, out-of-this-world alien friend who helps mend her broken family opens in theatres on May 23, 2025. Fans were treated to a special look at the series, plus the very first episode in its entirety. All four episodes begin streaming on Disney+ on Dec. 11, 2024.
–âWin or Lose,â an all-new original series launching on Disney+ Feb. 19, 2025, features the intertwined stories of different characters as they each prepare for their championship softball game. The audience was given a sneak peek of the winning series.
-The D23 Brazil audience was the first to see an exclusive new trailer in the works for Pixarâs upcoming feature film âElio,â which opens in theatres June 13, 2025. Fans learned more about Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination who gets beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization that mistakes him for Earthâs leader.
–âHoppersâ introduces Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use new technology to âhopâ her consciousness into a life-like robotic beaver. The audience saw a special piece about the film, which opens in theatres in 2026.
-Audiences first met Buzz, Woody and a toybox full of toys nearly 30 years agoâD23 Brazil fans were invited to reminisce. WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOSâ Jared Bush shared his excitement about two upcoming features heading to theatres. As co-writer and executive producer of âMoana 2â and writer/director of âZootopia 2,â Bush had the inside scoop.
–âMoana 2â voyages into theatres this month, on Nov. 27, and fans at D23 Brazil were treated to a sneak peek of the film. Stars Auliâi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson gave fans a chee hoo via video to build excitement for the film, which picks up three years later when Moana sets out to save her peopleâs future. Brazilian superstar Any Gabrielly, who voices Moana in the Brazilian dub, performed the end-credits version of new song from the film, âBeyond.â
-For âZootopia 2,â Bush introduced a very special video greeting from Shakira, who shared for the first time that sheâd be returning to play Zootopiaâs pop sensation, Gazelle, in the new movie. The sequel to the global phenomenon sees detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who turns the mammal metropolis upside down. Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, âMufasa: The Lion Kingâ enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Takaâthe heir to a royal bloodline. Surprise celebrity appearances, new film and series titles, and major musical performances enthralled the audience of Disney fans from around the world, demonstrating the unmatched strength of the companyâs creative studios, as well as the unique connection that generations of passionate fans of all ages have forged with its stories and characters over the past century.
Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger kicked off the evening to thank fans for their enduring passion, and to highlight what sets Disney apart as a global leader in creative storytelling and innovation. âOur deep bond with fans, forged over a century of storytelling, is stronger today than ever before,â he said, âdriven by the unmatched strength of our creative studios, the wide appeal of our brands and franchises, and the innovative ways that we bring our stories to life in our theme parks and experiences.â

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS welcomes back to the big screen fan-favourite characters in a trio of all-new feature films coming to theatres beginning this fall.
Disney Animationâs âMoana 2â kicked off the showcase with a crowd-pleasing performance by the phenomenal voice of Moana herself, Auliâi Cravalho, alongside dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia. Fans were among the first ever to hear âWeâre Back,â an all-new song written by GrammyÂź-winning songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bearâone of several new songs to be featured in the film that reunites Moana and Maui for an expansive new voyage. Following the performance, Dwayne Johnson, the inimitable voice of demigod Maui, hit the stage to greet fans and drum up excitement, revealing for the first time a new trailer and poster, which are now available. Fans went wild for the studioâs highly anticipated follow-up to âZootopia,â 2016âs OscarÂź-winning feature film. In âZootopia 2,â which hits theatres in November 2025, detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. Ginnifer Goodwin, who returns to voice clever bunny Judy, greeted fans at D23, sharing a special look at the film that features a fugitive snake called Gary. Jason Bateman returns as the voice of wise-cracking fox Nick Wilde, Ke Huy Quan was announced tonight as the voice of Gary, and Fortune Feimster ventures into the world as a beaver named Nibbles. Docter revealed the official launch date of Pixarâs first original series âWin or Lose,â which begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ on Dec. 6, 2024. Coming to Disney+ in 2025 is âDream Productions,â a just-announced series from the world of âInside Outâ about the studio inside Rileyâs mind where dreams really do come true thanks to acclaimed dream director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell). Written and directed by Mike Jones and produced by Jaclyn Simon, the four-episode series also features the voices of Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. Itâs been almost 30 years since audiences first met Buzz and Woody and what a journey theyâve had! The D23 crowd was elated to hear about Disney and Pixarâs âToy Story 5â when Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton, whoâs worked on every âToy Storyâ film and helms the new movie, greeted fans and offered a few clues about the new story. This time around, itâs Toy meets Tech when Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gangâs jobs get exponentially harder as they go head to head with this all-new threat to playtime. DISNEY ON BROADWAY celebrated its 30th anniversary with a thrilling medley of performances and exclusive announcements from its hit stage musicals. Highlights included âThe Lion King,â âAladdinâ and âHercules,â which will open in Londonâs West End in summer 2025. The event also featured news about âThe Greatest Showman,â currently in development for a stage musical adaptation, and âFrozen,â which was filmed on stage and will premiere on Disney+ in 2025. Samantha Barks, who will star as Elsa, dazzled the audience with a powerful rendition of âLet It Go.â

Season two of âAndorâ is on the horizon and star Diego Luna joined fans at D23 to build excitement for the follow-up to the critically acclaimed, EmmyÂź-nominated first season of the Lucasfilm series. âAndorâ Season 2 will continue to follow Cassian Andor over the period of four years as he grows into the rebel hero we see fulfill his destiny in âRogue One.â The second season will launch on Disney+ in 2025.

The highly anticipated D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event kicked off this morning at the Anaheim Convention Center with spectacular programming and immersive show floor offerings that brought fans closer to beloved stories from across the worlds of Disney.Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino hosted the Music of Marvel panel, where he was joined by composers Christophe Beck and Laura Karpman, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and music supervisors Dave Jordan and Justine von Winterfeldt to talk about their favourite scores, songs, and needle drops from Marvel Studiosâ movies and series. During the panel, Laura Karpman (âThe Marvels,â âMs. Marvel,â âAmerican Fictionâ) announced that she would be composing the score for the upcoming feature film, âCaptain America: Brave New World,â and Michael Giacchino previewed his score for the upcoming Marvel Studios film âThe Fantastic Four: First Steps.â
Also during the Music of Marvel Studios presentation, Disney Music Group President Ken Bunt presented a Diamond plaque to Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez commemorating the groundbreaking achievement that âLet It Goâ from Walt Disney Recordsâ âFrozenâ Original Soundtrack has been RIAAÂź certified Diamond, signifying $10 Million in sales. âLet It Goâ is the first Diamond Award recipient for Walt Disney Records.
Disney Experiences announced that Ron Clementsâ memoir, âMaking Disney Magic . . . from a Mermaid to Moana: Tales from a Disney Animation Directorâ will be released in July 2025 from Disney Publishing. With a foreword by his creative partner, co-writer, and co-director John Musker, this robust and illustrated memoir by a 45-year iconic filmmaker reveals his journey to discover his own voice, to hone his strengths, and to become a key storyteller and a pivotal leader at Walt Disney Animation Studios for more than four decades. Platinum recording artist Simple Plan enthralled fans with a full set of some of their most popular music through the years, as well as their newly released cover of âCan You Feel The Love Tonightâ from the upcoming Mickey & Friends pop-punk album, A Whole New Sound. Mickey Mouse joined the band on stage to share in his love of music.
There was excitement today at the Lucasfilm Pavilion, when a new trailer was unveiled for âLEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.â Showrunners, writers, executive producers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit were on hand at the Lucasfilm booth along with executive producer and Lucasfilm senior vice president, Franchise Content & Strategy James Waugh to offer fans more information about the animated special that sees the entire Star Wars Galaxy get completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together.
The voice cast includes Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Ahmed Best and a special guest appearance by Mark Hamill, who is also a consulting producer. The full cast was announced at the filmmakers’ presentation, including Naomi Ackie, Anthony Daniels, Kelly Marie Tran, Billy Dee Williams, Dee Bradley Baker, TC Carson, Trevor Devall, Jake Green, Jennifer Hale, Phil LaMarr, Ross Marquand, Piotr Michael, Kevin Michael Richardson, Helen Sadler, Matt Sloan, Matthew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Shelby Young. The special is directed by Chris Buckley, and Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler and Keith Malone are the executive producers. âLEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxyâ debuts with all four âpiecesâ on Sept. 13, exclusively on Disney+.

Chee hoo! Moana, Maui, Heihei, Pua the pig and the dart-wielding Kakamora are backâand thatâs just for starters in the all-new big-screen adventure. A new trailer and poster are now available for Walt Disney Animation Studiosâ âMoana 2,â opening in theatres on Nov. 27, 2024. The trailer received an enthusiastic response tonight when stars Auliâi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnsonâtogether on the D23 stage for the first time everâshared it with fans attending the studio showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Cravalho wowed the audience with a live performance of one of the filmâs new songs, âWeâre Back,â with dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia under the direction of Tiana Liufauâwho contributed animation reference choreography to âMoanaâ and the new filmâand Johnson led the audience in a rousing âchee hoo!â chant.
Also revealed were additional voice cast, including returning stars Rachel House (Moanaâs Grandma, Tala), Temuera Morrison (Moanaâs father, Chief Tui) and Nicole Scherzinger (Moanaâs mother, Sina). The film also features the voices of HualÄlai Chung, David Fane and Rose Matafeo as Moanaâs new crew members Moni, Kele and Loto, respectively. Awhimai Fraser voices mysterious new character Matangi; Gerald Ramsey plays Moanaâs ancestor, Tautai Vasa; and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda lends her voice to Moanaâs adoring and adorable little sister, Simea.
Walt Disney Animation Studiosâ epic animated musical âMoana 2â reunites Moana (voice of Cravalho) and Maui (voice of Johnson) three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything sheâs ever faced. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, âMoana 2â features music by GrammyÂź winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaâi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina. Jared Bush and Miller are writing the film, which is executive produced by Jennifer Lee, Bush and Johnson.
