#SPOTTED: CALLINA LIANG IN TORONTO FOR “STREET FIGHTER” WORLD WARRIORS SCREENING

Toronto got a huge surprise at the special advance screening of STREET FIGHTER! Canada’s very own Callina Liang popped-up at the screening to an enthusiastic reaction at Cineplex Yonge-Eglinton & VIP to introduce the Blockbuster, which is expected to make around $70 million globally in its debut.

Other stars from the Film popped-up at their hometown screenings too in what were called World Warriors screenings in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Cleveland, Ft. Lauderdale, Toronto, Sydney, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

Co-financed by Capcom and Legendary, the Film brings to life the beloved Video Game which a combination of both live-action and Animation, with Kitao Sakurai directing. The Film follows Chun-Li (Liang) as she recruits estranged friends Ken (Noah Centineo) and Ryu (Andrew Koji) to fight in a tournament, while confronting the ruthless M. Bison (David Dasmaltchian).

Liang tells Virgin Radio’s Shannon Burns at the screening that she learned she got the role while at Barry’s in Yorkville here in Toronto, reacting in such a loud way that people around her were concerned if she was alright!

Some highlights from the night, which saw fun photo ops, complimentary popcorn and souvenirs from the night!
