Pacific Northwest Pictures + Mr. Will want you to win a copy of OCTOBER GALE on DVD!
A killer stalks a remote island in this edge-of-your-seat thriller starring Patricia Clarkson, Scott Speedman, and Tim Roth. Helen (Clarkson), a recently widowed doctor, returns home to her isolated cottage off the Canadian coast to find a stranger with a gunshot wound (Speedman) hiding out from two men intent on killing him. As an ominous storm brews outside, trapping the pair on the island, they must join forces to survive a harrowing night of terror, while navigating the mounting attraction growing between them. Full of hairpin plot twists and unrelenting tension, October Gale is a grippingly suspenseful spine-chiller.
If you attended the Movies this Holiday, you might have been intrigued by the Trailer for a sizzling Romantic-Thriller called Endless Love. The Remake of the 1981 Film of the same name is helmed by Shana Feste (Country Strong) and stars Burberry Model Gabriella Wilde and Magic Mike Hearththrob Alex Pettyfer. If Wilde looks familiar, you might’ve seen her in the Toronto-filmed Remake of Carrie in theatres earlier this year.
Official Synopsis: Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) in the story of a privileged Girl and a charismatic Boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.

The Movie which brought Ryan & Eva together. After premiering at TIFF last September to positive Reviews, finally The Place Beyond the Pines sees a release later this month. Reuniting Director/Writer Derek Cianfrance together with Ryan Gosling after their fantastic Collaboration, Blue Valentine, the Drama is about a Stunt Driver (Gosling) who provides for his unborn Child and Lover (Eva Mendes) by robbing banks. A Rookie Cop (Bradley Cooper) however is onto him, he himself dealing with internal issues in reporting to a corrupt Detective (Ray Liotta). Think Drive, but with a Motorbike, a Baby and Corruption! LOL
Regardless, the Film looks amazing and despite it being early still, the Critics of Rotten Tomatoes have pegged it at 92% on their Tomatometer.

Canadian-born Actor/Musician Bruce Greenwood has solidified his standing as a certified Screen Veteran, having built a long and lasting career with work in some of Hollywood’s biggest Blockbusters all the way to the smaller Canadian Indies. You’ve seen him in National Treasure: Book of Secrets, I, Robot, Double Jeopardy, Super 8 and Star Trek, but he’s long been at it, making his screen debut back in 1982’s First Blood starring Sylvester Stallone. You’ve also seen him in Atom Egoyan‘s The Sweet Hereafter.
Greenwood who was born in Noranda, Quebec and is based out of Los Angeles, returned to Toronto today once again for a round of Press in support of the DVD/Blu-ray release of Flight. The Drama which has him starring alongside Denzel Washington, is up for two Oscars including Writing and Best Actor, seeing a release tomorrow. Amazon‘s got it available for only $14.99!
The Actor was up and at ’em early today, appearing on multiple editions of City‘s Breakfast Television from Toronto to Vancouver, before heading-off for more appearances, including a visit to CBC for George Stromboulopoulos Tonight.
Thrilled to get a Snap with the still-lookin’-great Greenwood who has a busy 2013 ahead with the release of The Place Beyond the Pines (March), Star Trek Into Darkness (May) and another re-teaming with Egoyan in Devil’s Knot (TIFF 2013?!!?). Another Thriller Wildlike does not yet have a scheduled date.

I absolutely must see this. BBC and Science Channel currently are producing a Film about the 1986 Challenger Disaster which saw seven Astronauts – including the first ever Female Teacher in Space – killed in the Explosion. I recall that Tragedy so vividly, watching it replayed repeatedly on the News as a Kid and remember feeling deeply saddened that day in January. The thick trail of clouds and smoke behind the Shuttle, before it burst into flames in the sky; the Cameras panning on Onlookers comforting one another as the situation completely was beyond their control.
Cast in the Movie, which still is untitled, are William Hurt, Bruce Greenwood, Kevin McNally, Eve Best and Henry Goodman. British TV Director James Hawes will be helming the Project, which focuses more on uncovering the Truth about what caused the Explosion versus the actual Disaster itself. Intriguing.
Although I will warn that not everyone wants to re-live this memory, here is a Video from CNN of the Challenger Launch:
