We just might be amidst 2026’s biggest Pop moment with the rise of Slovak Singer-Songwriter ADÉLA! While many got their first introduction to her on Netflix series THE DEBUT: DREAM ACADEMY, which launched global phenomenon Katseye, she has managed to take that recognition to find success as a solo artist. Her debut album PRIMA debuted at #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 200 and #6 on the Canadian equivalent, and following the success of her Top 30 hit “Ain’t in LA“, she is about the surpass that feat with her latest single, “Nicole Kidman“, which is going viral, being used by many celebrities including Lizzo and Nicole Scherzinger.
Her debut album is a perfect study of Pop perfection. You can hear the influences, with nods to 2013 Miley and Lana Del Rey, with Ariana Grande and Britney coming through in the best way possible, yet still feeling very individual and unique.
We had the joy of seeing her first-ever self-headlining tour at The Phoenix in Toronto where she brought the house down with a selection of tracks from PRIMA and her previous EP, The Provocateur. She tells the audience that her next time visiting, she’d like to play at a larger venue with a budget for even more dancers. Despite admittedly being sick, she sounded and performed a dynamite show, ending on “Nicole Kidman” as the audience sang along word-for-word.
Prior to her show, a Pop-Up was held at King West’s RCHIVE giving fans a chance to pregame for the tour with exclusive merch, special activations and more. There was also an all-day dance party, exclusive photo opportunities, freebies and the first 100 attendees to make a purchase, got a complimentary Pink Milk mocktail as a gift with purchase. Pink being the Entertainer’s signature hair colour.
Amidst some uncertain times, Adéla is the future of Pop.
Some highlights, including her going out to meet fans outside the venue after the show;
