#TIFF13: “THE FIFTH ESTATE”
Based on the Books Inside WikiLeaks by Daniel Domscheit-Berg and WikiLeaks by David Leigh & Luke Harding, Director Bill Condon's The Fifth Estate opens the Toronto International Film Festival this year in as explosive a fashion as the Website which it centers upon operates. The Thriller raises several questions, among them the implications of both sharing highly confidential information and also keeping it secret in this Age of Information.
Perhaps not the most flattering portrayal of ...

#REVIEW – “ADORE”
Who doesn't enjoy a good, tangled mess once in a while? Adore from French-based Director Anne Fontaine (Coco Before Chanel) gives us just this in her Adaptation of the Novel The Grandmothers, by Doris Lessing. The Australian-set Drama's subject matter on paper might appear slighty off-putting, but the matter could not have been treated with any more grace and dignity than it is here. Highlighted by an outstanding Ensemble, Adore just might be one of 2013's juiciest secrets.

#REVIEW: “THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES”
Review by: Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
For those not in the know, The Mortal Instruments is no passing trend. In the last five years its literary counterpart has produced five novels, with a sixth promised for early 2014. Author Cassandra Clare, a life-long Peddler of Prose, began its introductory work almost ten years ago. Similar to other genre entries, her slice of youthful Fantasy is lead by a blossoming Damsel in Distress. But dangers be damned, as it didn’t take Clary long to ...

#REVIEW: “KICK-ASS 2”
Overcome whatever obstacles beset you, because Kick Ass 2 is one Sequel you don't wanna miss. Like its Predecessor, it starts off with a couple of caps and a Comic Book caption. Blood, sweat and grime soak every frame and satiric syllable. Matthew Vaughn, the Director of the first Film, handed the reins to relative newcomer Jeff Wadlow for this Followup. And not only does he succeed greatly in helming it, he also wrote it.
For the Uninitiated, Kick-Ass is a new age “What If?” scenario ...

#REVIEW – “jOBS”
When we think of Steve Jobs, likely the first thing we recall is him being the revered Co-Founder and CEO of the Apple Inc. Empire - a beloved Visionary. David Fincher’s The Social Network in 2010 really raised the bar high in terms of Technology-related Biopics and it is undeniable there is a bit of an overlap thematically in this effort from Director Joshua Michael Stern. jOBS recalls the dramas, underhanded dealings, tantrums and politics behind his ascension as one of the most ...
