#REVIEW: “THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 2”

The Angry Birds and Green Pigs were against each other in the first Film, but this time we see them come together to fight a common threat. After a gigantic ice ball parts of the Green Pig Island, they learn there’s a mysterious third island. This island is called Eagle Island and their leader, Zeta (Leslie Jones), is trying to infiltrate both pig and bird islands. This leads to the pigs and birds teaming up on a mission to deactivate the ice ball making device.

This Sequel is even more entertaining and fun than its Predecessor. There is a concise Story Line and a clear mission that starts right from the beginning. Thus, making this Film a fast-paced adventure without a dull moment. It also has themes of friendship and betrayal with every character having something to fight for or against. Particularly for Zeta, who is attempting to invade the islands. She is a well-rounded and hilarious addition to the Angry Birds films.

The old Voice Cast return to those characters we know and love. Jason Sudeikis has more to play with this time around making Red more anxious and needy. Josh Gad is hilarious as the fastest bird Chuck. And Danny McBride rounds-out the three best-bird-friends with the explosive Bomb. When it comes to the new Cast members, it’s Jones and Rachel Bloom who stand out. Jones is phenomenal as the heartbroken and tough eagle on a diabolical mission, making it hard not to like this villain character. And Bloom is the star of the show as the extremely intelligent Silver. She has sharp comebacks to insults from Red and has a bright spirit that helps lift yours.

Overall, The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a fun-filled adventure with loads of color and entertaining characters.
