Netflix announced today that award-winning presenter Rebecca Lowe, one of soccer’s most seasoned and respected broadcast voices, will join the network’s broadcast team for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ as a lead host, streaming live only on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada. The addition marks another milestone for Netflix’s historic coverage of the tournament, which will feature English and Spanish-language broadcasts in the United States, and English and French-language broadcasts in Canada.
Over more than two decades in the industry, Lowe has built one of the most recognizable résumés in soccer broadcasting. She has anchored NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage since 2013, while also fronting the network’s presentation of seven consecutive Olympic Games and its annual Kentucky Derby broadcast, and most recently hosted FOX’s broadcast coverage for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ . From 2009 to 2013, she co-hosted ESPN UK’s Premier League programming and fronted ESPN’s U.S. coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ and UEFA EURO 2012™. She also anchored FA Cup matches for ESPN UK, and in May 2012 made history as the first woman to host the FA Cup Final live from Wembley Stadium on British television.
Netflix’s complete FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ broadcast team will be unveiled in the lead-up to the tournament.
Netflix’s coverage kicks off with the Final Draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, streaming live exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada on December 11, 2026, from the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The draw will reveal how the 32 national teams will be divided into eight groups for the opening phase of the tournament, giving fans their first look at the matchups ahead.
Netflix is the exclusive home of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in the United States and Canada for both the 2027 and 2031 tournaments.
Coverage of the tournament and the Final Draw will feature English and Spanish-language broadcasts in the United States, and English and French-language broadcasts in Canada.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ kicks off June 24, 2027 in Brazil and runs through July 25, 2027, featuring 32 national teams, 64 matches and eight host cities.
All matches will stream live on Netflix in the United States and Canada, included in all plans, including in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.
Alongside live match coverage, fans can expect studio coverage, commentary, entertainment and documentary programming bringing them closer to the players, teams and stories shaping the global women’s game.
