In celebration of the hotly anticipated new movie, Jurassic World: Rebirth, Universal Pictures Canada is teaming up with the Royal Ontario Museum for Jurassic Weekend—a two-day prehistoric party where dinosaurs rule once again. Running June 28 and 29, 2025, all ages are invited to explore the world of ROM’s iconic dino collection through hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, and dynamic guided tours, all included with museum admission.
Jurassic Weekend is your ticket to the Mesozoic—no time machine required. Guests can get hands-on with real fossils in the Age of Dinosaurs Gallery, examine real and replica dino teeth, and discover what was really on the prehistoric menu (herbivore or carnivore?). Daring explorers can even handle fossilized dino skin and—yes—fossilized poop! Budding paleontologists can imagine life among giants.
Throughout both days, don’t miss Dino-mite Tours: dynamic, family-friendly journeys through the museum’s stunning dino displays. Young adventurers can test their paleontology skills in Fossil Quest: Dino Detectives Unite! scavenger hunts for a chance to win a dino-mite prize pack. Guests can also explore the ROM’s ancient secrets with a special Trail Guide highlighting dinosaurs, mammals, and birds—perfect for anyone wanting a self-guided look at the museum’s prehistoric wonders.
As part of the festivities, visitors can enter an exclusive contest to win advance tickets to the Fan-First Early Screening of Jurassic World: Rebirth before its release on July 2, 2025. Exclusive movie collectibles and activity sheets will be available while supplies last. All Jurassic Weekend activities are free with museum admission—just bring your sense of adventure!
