A lot happens in a month and since our last installment of PRINCESS DIARIES, our girl A PIC BY MRWILL (aka "Princess") has continued to amaze us! She keeps-up with her weekly workout regimen under jockey Sheena Ryan at Woodbine like a true professional. Her Owner/Trainer John Ross and Cathy Wong, along with the team, are doing an amazing job getting her in top shape for her forthcoming first race.
Princess just keeps growing and growing and growing. I quite literally have to reach-up ...

#HORSERACING: A MORNING WITH BEHOLDER
We had the pleasure not only of stopping by Los Angeles amidst Awards Season last week, but also Santa Anita Park. This was no standard visit. We would be going to meet one of Horse Racing's brightest stars, the reigning queen and three-time champion, BEHOLDER.
We've been a fan of the six-year-old mare who in 20 stars to date, has been a model of consistency, excellent and if not, improving with every start. Her career has seen two Breeders' Cup victories in her two and four-year-old ...

#HORSERACING: MEETING WOODBINE’S “A PIC BY MRWILL”
As long as I can remember, I've always wanted a horse. As many of you know, my childhood was anything but ordinary. While most kids hung-out at the mall, played video games or road hockey on weekends, I spent my youth at the races with my parents. I'd doodle fantasy stables of horses on scrap paper, complete with imagined offspring of hypothetical matings of my favourites. I came home smelling of the ink on racing programs and forms, cigarette smoke and horses.
You can imagine the shock my ...

#HORSERACING: MR. WILL’S 2015 YEAR IN HORSES
What a year it's been! The Racing Season at Woodbine ended last weekend and although it's only been a week, I do miss it! It brings be so many mixed emotions to see so many of our human and equine friends in the industry ship south to the warmer weathers of Kentucky and Florida this winter, but I know they're all just a Facebook post away and I can keep a tab on the horses like they are my children.
Over the course of the year I have taken well over 25k photos. Hence, to narrow them ...

#HORSERACING: AMERICAN PHAROAH HEADLINES AN EMOTIONAL, STAR-STUDDED BREEDERS’ CUP 2015!
Having spent most of my childhood weekends at the racetrack with my parents, it has always been a dream of mine to attend the Breeders' Cup. The two-day championship series of races often decide divisional honours and Horse of the Year title in America, with 13 races totaling a whopping $24.5 million. Although the event rotates from track to track annually, with our Woodbine playing host once only in 1996, Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky would have the honour this year.
The track, ...

The best in the sport gathered for a shot at the huge purse money and the biggest winner tonight was driver Dave Miller who topped the night with a whopping five Breeders Crown wins tonight. Neither rain nor ...
