Great news for fans of MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS. It’s back for a second season this Summer on Netflix!
About My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2:
After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family. But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex – who changed a lot over the summer – isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting). Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama. As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.Series CreditsShowrunner / Executive Producer: Melanie HalsallExecutive Producers: Ed Glauser, Becky Hartman EdwardsProduced by: Sony Pictures Television, International Production and iGeneration Studios (THE KISSING BOOTH trilogy of films)Based on the Novel: My Life with the Walter Boys by Ali NovakCast/Characters: Nikki Rodriguez (Jackie), Sarah Rafferty Katherine), Marc Blucas (George), Noah LaLonde (Cole), Ashby Gentry (Alex), Connor Stanhope (Danny), Johnny Link (Will), Corey Fogelmanis (Nathan), Jaylan Evans (Skylar), ZoĂ« Soul (Hayley), Isaac Arellanes (Isaac), Myles Perez (Lee), Alex Quijano (Richard), Ashley Tavares (Tara), Dean Petriw (Jordan), Alix West Lefler (Parker), Lennix James (Benny), Alisha Newton (Erin), Ellie O’Brien (Grace), Kolton Stewart (Dylan), Mya Lowe (Kiley), Gabrielle Jacinto (Olivia), Jesse Lipscombe (Coach Allen), Nathaniel Arcand (Mato), Natalie Sharp (B. Pink Triangle Press (PTP), one of the world’s longest-running 2SLGBTQIA+ media organizations, announced the return of the Pink Awards taking place on November 6, 2025 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The celebratory evening is co-hosted by award-winning actor Emily Hampshire, a longtime supporter of Pink Triangle Press, alongside Canada’s Drag Race resident Choreographer Hollywood Jade. The pre-awards pink carpet is hosted by Bell Media’s popular radio personality Shannon Burns. The 2025 Pink Awards celebrates the immeasurable commitment and contribution of prominent 2SLGBTQIA+ leaders, creatives, and activists from the past year who in turn pay-it-forward to support front line charities serving the community. Award recipients and champions will be announced in September.
In building the second edition of the Pink Awards, PTP is also proud to announce the newly formed Gala Advisory Committee bringing together some of North America’s strongest industry leaders who have tirelessly advocated for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community throughout their careers. Working as ambassadors for the Gala are Julie Bristow, Founder of Catalyst, Mark S. Bonham, Executive Director of The Veritas Foundation, Heaton Dyer, Media Executive, Mark Skallerud, President of Pink Media, and Justin Stockman, Vice-President, Content Development & Programming at Bell Media.
“Bringing back the Pink Awards for a second year is a joyful celebration of queer creativity, resilience, and brilliance. Our community is facing a cruel backlash right now, and in light of these challenges, it’s more important than ever to create a space where we can celebrate and lift up one another,” said David Walberg, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at Pink Triangle Press. “We are incredibly grateful to welcome our hosts Emily, Hollywood and Shannon whose energy and passion are unwavering. None of this would be possible without the dedicated support of our sponsors, and community champions whose belief in queer advocacy helps make this celebration a reality. The Pink Awards are more than an event—they’re a vibrant reminder of the power of visibility, pride, and solidarity.”
Last year’s inaugural event was hosted by Queen Priyanka, drag pop superstar and Canada’s Drag Race winner. Participants included actor/writer/producer Elliot Page, professional hockey player Marie-Philip Poulin, activist Latoya Nugent, with performances by Rufus Wainwright, Jeremy Dutcher and Katie Tupper. Longtime philanthropist and activist Salah Bachir was honoured with the Legacy Award.
The Pink Awards are presented by return partner DECIEM: The Abnormal Beauty Company, and sponsored by The Fairmont Royal York Hotel, BMO, and Durex. The Globe and Mail and iHeartRadio join the Pink Awards as media partners. Additional sponsors to be announced shortly.

Are you ready to conquer the digital card tables and become a Pusoy Dos master? This beloved Filipino card game has found new life on GameZone, and we’re here to help you crush the competition. Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned player, our guide will elevate your game to new heights.
Pusoy Dos, also known as Filipino Poker or Big Two, has long been a staple of Filipino social gatherings. Now, thanks to platforms like GameZone, this strategic card game has exploded onto the global stage. With its fast-paced gameplay and intricate strategies, Pusoy Dos on GameZone offers an exhilarating experience that blends tradition with cutting-edge technology.
Before we dive into advanced tactics, let’s review the basics:
Now, let’s explore the strategies that will transform you from a casual player into a Pusoy Dos powerhouse!
The moment you receive your cards, your brain should kick into overdrive. Quickly sort your hand into potential combinations:
• Group singles, pairs, and three-of-a-kind
• Identify possible five-card hands (straights, flushes, full houses)
• Keep high-value cards separate for strategic plays
This organization is crucial in the fast-paced world of online Pusoy Dos. A well-organized hand allows for quick decision-making and reduces the risk of missing powerful combinations.
Pro Tip: Practice hand organization offline to build muscle memory. The faster you can sort your cards, the more time you’ll have for strategic planning during matches.
Low cards (3s, 4s, 5s) can become a burden if held too long. Play these cards early to:
• Maintain flexibility in your hand
• Avoid getting stuck with weak plays late in the game
• Force opponents to reveal their strategies
Remember, the goal is to empty your hand first. Don’t let sentimentality keep you holding onto low cards that could cost you the game.
Your high cards, especially 2s and Aces, are your secret weapons. Use them wisely to:
• Break opponents’ winning streaks
• Secure control of the game when you’re close to winning
• Force opponents to pass, giving you multiple turns
The key is patience. Resist the urge to play your powerhouse cards early unless absolutely necessary. A well-timed high card play can turn the tide of the game in your favor.
Knowing when to pass is just as important as knowing when to play. Strategic passing allows you to:
• Conserve strong cards for crucial moments
• Force opponents to reveal their hand strength
• Observe and analyze your opponents’ strategies
Don’t view passing as a sign of weakness. Instead, see it as a tactical move that can set you up for future success.
In the digital arena of GameZone, reading your opponents takes on a new dimension. Pay close attention to:
• Patterns in their card plays
• Frequency of passing
• Reaction times when making decisions
This information is gold. It allows you to predict their remaining cards and adjust your strategy accordingly. Are they playing aggressively with high cards? They might be trying to end the game quickly. Are they passing frequently? They might be holding onto a powerful combination.
Bluffing isn’t just for poker. In Pusoy Dos, a well-executed bluff can throw your opponents off balance. Try:
• Playing weaker cards with confidence
• Passing when you have playable cards to mislead opponents
• Varying your play style to remain unpredictable
Bluffing is a double-edged sword, so use it sparingly. The goal is to create doubt in your opponents’ minds, not to become predictable yourself.
Ready to take your game to the next level? These advanced tactics will set you apart from the casual players:
Like a chess grandmaster, top Pusoy Dos players are always thinking multiple turns in advance. Consider:
• How your current play will affect future rounds
• Potential combinations you can set up
• How to force opponents into unfavorable positions
This forward-thinking approach allows you to control the flow of the game, rather than simply reacting to each turn.
While it may sound daunting, basic card counting in Pusoy Dos can give you a significant edge:
• Keep track of high cards played (especially 2s and Aces)
• Note which suits are being depleted
• Use this information to infer opponents’ remaining cards
With practice, this skill becomes second nature and will dramatically improve your decision-making.
Every opponent has a unique play style. The ability to recognize and adapt to these styles is crucial:
Flexibility in your tactics ensures you’re never caught off guard, no matter who you’re facing.
GameZone offers tools and features that can enhance your Pusoy Dos experience:
Take advantage of these features to accelerate your learning and connect with the global Pusoy Dos community.
Becoming a Pusoy Dos champion on GameZone is a journey of continuous improvement. Embrace these strategies, practice regularly, and always be open to learning from both victories and defeats.
Remember, Pusoy Dos is more than just a game – it’s a test of skill, strategy, and psychological warfare. With dedication and the right approach, you can rise through the ranks and establish yourself as a formidable player in the digital Pusoy Dos arena.
Are you ready to revolutionize your gameplay and dominate the competition? Dive into the world of Pusoy Dos on GameZone, armed with these insider strategies. Your path to becoming a Pusoy Dos legend starts now. Good luck, and may the best player win!”
This expanded version maintains the enticing tone while providing more detailed strategies and insights, reaching the 1000-word target.
Though we didn’t think it would ever come, Summer 2025 finally has arrived! What a week it’s been, attending premieres, red carpets, launches, the races, parties and seeing the stars and we had the perfect companion to do it all with, the MAZDA CX-70 MHEV in a stunning Soul Red Crystal Metallic.
Powered by a 3.3L e-SKYACTIV-G inline-six high-output turbo with M Hybrid boost and i-stop engine, and operating at 340 @ 5,000 – 6,000 rpm horsepower (on recommended premium fuel), this two-row midsize SUV with i-ACTIV (AWD) all-wheel drive, is sheer muscle. I’ve test driven many a midsize, but this one had me feeling a level of command I’ve never quite experienced.
Now with power often there is a little hesitation on the fuel economy side, but we were relieved at how economical the CX-70 actually was, giving us 9.9 L/100km in the city and 8.4 L/100km on the highway, with a combined rating of 9.3 L/100km. We got a lot of mileage from its 74 L fuel tank.
Mi-Drive (Mazda Intelligent Drive Select) gives you four driving modes: Sports, Normal, Off-road, and Towing, putting you in full control depending on your needs in that moment.
Right upon stepping into the CX-70, it is ever apparent that this will be an elevated experience with its elegant finishes and trimmings. Seats are made of Windsor Tan Nappa upholstery, while side door trims and dashboard mid-panel are made of Windsor Tan Luxe Suede. It is covered by an oversized moonroof made for those scorching, sunny summer days we’re experiencing, but also giving you an ambient drive year-round. Mazda is thinking big with 12.3″ centre displays with touchscreen option to navigate the menu here. The digital gauge display also is big too, tallying-in at 12.3″!
A big selling point of the CX-70 is its spaciousness, offering generous cargo space: 1,122 L (behind second row), 2,132 L (second row folded). Opening and close the rear door were as easy as pushing a button, securing any hauls we made.
Drivers and passengers get an unmatched level of comfort. The Driver gets 10-way power adjustment on their seat, while front passenger gets 8-way adjustment. Above this, there not only are seat heaters, but also very handy seat coolers, plus customizable climate control in the front, and also the back row as well. We appreciate that level of care and thought for our loved ones.
Connectivity is so important in this day and age and under its thoughtfully-designed arm rests were USB-C charging ports, But not only this, we are a little obsessed with its very seamless wireless charging pad which we finally realized we had after a few drives!
The CX-70 boasts a 12-speaker premium Bose audio system, which sounded glorious, and we were able to connect easily to our Spotify playlists via Bluetooth and also AndroidAuto. Don’t worry iPhone users, Apple CarPlay works like a charm as well here. And did we mention the joy of having SiriusXM enabled? SiriusXM Hits 1 is our favourite and how we often discover new music for our summer playlist!
We found it fascinating the the midsize SUV had a 360° See-Through view. Front-cameras ensured we could see everything ahead of us, as did the rear-view camera. Seeing it all on our oversized display ensured we weren’t missing a thing! We appreciated its mindful notifications if we left anything in the backseats as well.
Above this, Mazda‘s thoughtfulness with proximity keyless entry, folding exterior mirrors, and tinted windows in the back row (our beanie is a precious princess who loves her privacy) really showcases their deep level of care in the details for both driver and passenger.
Safety is a priority and perhaps the CX-70 is a bit too sensitive about it, particularly with Lane Departure warnings. Thankfully, these notifications can be disabled via system settings if you find them too much. You are benefitting from an abundance of safety measures here including:
•Front dual stage driver and front passenger •Front and rear side airbags •Front and rear curtain airbags •Front driver and passenger knee airbag •Passenger airbag deactivation system (auto switch) •Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) •Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) •Driver Attention Alert (DAA) •Distance & Speed Alert (DSA) •Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC with Stop&Go function) •Pedestrian Detection (front) •Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) •Traction Control System (TCS) •Trailer Stability Control (TSC) •Hill Descent Control •Hill Launch Assist (HLA) •Lane Keep-assist System (LAS) •Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) •Emergency Lane Keeping w/ Road Keep Assist •Rearview camera (w/static guide lines) •Smart Brake Support Front (SBS-F) •High Beam Control system (HBC) •Front and rear second row (outboard seats only) seat belt pretensioners with force limiters •Child-safety rear door locks •Latch 2nd-row seat child safety lower anchors & upper tethers (3) •3-point safety belts for all occupants •Height adjustable front and rear seat head restraints •Height adjustable front seat belts •Front active head restraints •Engine immobilizer theft deterrent system •Private eCall •Stolen Vehicle AssisatnceSome highlights from our Test Drive. We even hit up a couple Mazda Canada-recommended spots including Gateau Ghost and Rooms 915, as part of their promotion of Coffee Tourism with some of the City’s top independent coffee shops!
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 MHEV as tested, retails at $64,995 CAN. More here.
