Today, 3x GRAMMY and 6x BRIT Award-winning global pop superstar Dua Lipa releases “Training Season,” the second single from her upcoming album, out later this year. Alongside the track, Dua has released the music video for “Training Season,” which you can watch here:

Speaking of the track, Dua shares, “I had been on a string of bad dates, and the last one was the final straw. The next morning I arrived to the studio to Caroline and Tobias asking me how it all went and I immediately declared ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER,’ and like the best ‘day after’ debriefs with your mates, we had a lot of laughs and it all quickly came together from there.”

She added, “And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people…men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”

Directed by Vincent Haycock, the “Training Season” video opens with Dua’s voicemail being flooded with apologetic messages and second chance requests. As the song continues, Dua sits alone while she’s surrounded by men vying for her attention as the room begins to spin into chaos. “Training Season” was written by Lipa, along with Caroline Ailin, Danny L. Harle, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and was produced by Parker and Harle.

Earlier this month, Dua kicked off the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards with an electric medley performance of “Training Season,” “Dance The Night,” and “Houdini,” which you can watch here. Dua will return to the stage at the BRIT Awards on March 2nd, where she’s nominated for three awards including Artist of the Year, Best Pop Act, and Song of the Year for “Dance The Night.”

British Pop institution S CLUB are on the comeback trail, reuniting for a limited engagement on their THE GOOD TIMES TOUR! Back are members Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Bradley McIntosh, Jon Lee and Tina Barrett and oh my God, how do they look so good? Not that they wouldn’t because really it hasn’t been that long since we watched them on MuchMusic every day. But honestly, how do they look so good still?

The fab five came in from London today amidst one of the biggest snowfalls of the year in Toronto, arriving safe and sound. The BRIT Award-winning Act – the highest music honour in their native England – are here to play Meridian Hall tomorrow night, before heading to Boston next.

We’ve seen our fair share of stars over the years, but S CLUB honestly are so gracious despite their international stardom, and were so nice to take their time saying “hi” to fans. Including one who flew all the way from Winnipeg not to miss her chance to see them live!

Paramount+ today announced that Emmy® winner Jon Hamm will join the cast of the upcoming original drama series LANDMAN in a recurring guest role. Hamm will play Monty Miller, a titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long personal and professional relationship with Tommy Norris, played by Oscar® winner and series lead Billy Bob Thornton. Co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, LANDMAN is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast “Boomtown,” the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.

Hamm’s nuanced portrayal of high-powered advertising executive Don Draper in the award-winning drama series Mad Men earned him numerous accolades for his performance, including an Emmy in 2015 for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, Golden Globe Awards in 2016 and 2008, Television Critics Association Awards in 2011 and 2015, a Critics’ Choice Television Award in 2011 and multiple Screen Actors Guild nominations. Paramount+ today announced that its upcoming original film LITTLE WING, a heartwarming coming-of-age story from Awesomeness, will premiere Wednesday, March 13, 2024 exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, and the following day in the UK and Australia. Additional Paramount+ international market premiere dates will be announced at a later time. First look images for the film were also released.

LITTLE WING follows Kaitlyn, a teen who is reeling from her parents’ divorce and the pending loss of her home. She and her best friend hope to solve her mother’s financial woes by stealing a valuable bird, but Kaitlyn, instead, forms a bond with the owner, that leads her to a new outlook on life.

Starring in LITTLE WING are Brian Cox (Succession) as Jaan, the pigeon racer; Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone) as Maddie, Kaitlyn’s mom; Brooklynn Prince (Cocaine Bear) as Kaitlyn; and Che Tafari (Me Time) as Adam, Kaitlyn’s classmate and friend.

Today, Prime Video announced the premiere date for American Rust: Broken Justice, the long-awaited second season of the compelling crime drama American Rust starring Emmy-winner Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom) and Golden Globe-winner Maura Tierney (The Affair). All 10 new episodes of Season Two will be available on March 28, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S., UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. American Rust: Broken Justice will be a part of the savings, convenience, and entertainment that Prime members enjoy in a single membership.

American Rust: Broken Justice takes us back to the fictional small town of Buell, Pennsylvania. Del Harris (Daniels) and Grace Poe (Tierney) try to rebuild their lives after the harrowing events of Season One. Season Two picks up with a string of seemingly unrelated murders, hinting at a much larger conspiracy that threatens everyone in this small, tight-knit town.

Based on Philipp Meyer’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the first season of American Rust premiered on Showtime, exploring the tattered American Dream in a Rust Belt town in southwest Pennsylvania through the eyes of police chief Del Harris. Harris becomes compromised when the son of the woman he loves (Tierney) is accused of murder, and he is forced to decide what he’s willing to do to protect him.

The International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights Geneva (FIFDH) announced documentary ‘An Unfinished Journey’ as part of their upcoming 22nd Edition of the festival, which will run from March 8-17th, 2024. The film, directed by American documentary filmmaker Amie Williams (Uncommon Ground, We are Wisconsin) and Canadian documentary filmmaker Aeyliya Husain (Shooting War, The Fifth Region), is also one of 16 films chosen to be part of the festival’s Impact Days. The film premieres on Tuesday, March 12th at 7:30 pm in the International Focus Competition. The film is produced by HitPlay Productions and Les Films D’Ici; producers include Nadine Pequeneza and Charlotte Uzu. It is currently out to market seeking domestic and international distribution.

“The situation in Afghanistan, especially for women, is dire and needs further attention by the international community,” say filmmakers Amie Williams and Aeyliya Husain. “The opportunity to showcase the film on a world stage in front of changemakers at FIFDH Geneva could help us start the conversations that will make a difference.”

“An Unfinished Journey’ focuses on four women: Homaira Ayubi, a former member of parliament in Farah Province; Zefnoon Safi, a former member of parliament in Laghman province; Nilofar Moradi, a former TV reporter and journalist; and Nargis Nehan, a former Afghan Minister of Mines and Petroleum. As a result of their prominent positions and advocacy for women’s rights, all four women were forced to flee Afghanistan in the aftermath of the Taliban take-over. The documentary follows their journey to Canada and efforts to raise awareness around the world about the plight of Afghanistan, especially women in Afghanistan.

This year the festival’s Impact Days program has selected 16 projects to participate in a two-day forum connecting filmmakers, NGOs and funders committed to the advancement of human rights around the world. ‘An Unfinished Journey’ is one of two films chosen to both participate at Impact Days and screen at the festival. The film’s world premiere will be followed by a discussion with the film’s co-directors, protagonist Former Afghan Minister Nargis Nehan and a local organization International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) advocating for ‘gender apartheid’ to be recognized as an international crime.

Synopsis:
Forced to flee their country after the Taliban take-over in 2021, four Afghan women leaders struggle to keep the world’s attention on the unfolding crisis in Afghanistan, while coming to terms with what it means to have their power usurped and two decades of progress dismantled. From their distant exile-countries these four female leaders – past parliamentarians, ministers and journalists – watch the Taliban strip women and girls of the right to be educated, to work and to participate in society. No longer in positions of influence, they are forced to reinvent themselves to continue the fight for a free and just Afghanistan. When the world’s attention has turned to the next headline and even the greatest superpower has admitted defeat, can these women succeed?
