On Thursday, August 27, 2026, Netflix hosted a special preview screening of CREW GIRL at the TIFF Lightbox, with the red carpet and after party taking place at The Amsterdam Brewhouse in Toronto.

Guests travelled in an Easton Prep school bus to the after party, where they were immersed into the world of Eagle’s Cove – the warm wooden interiors, nautical accents, and pennant flags gave partygoers the experience of an east-coast prep school rower entering the clubhouse for the first time.

Today, BritBox released the official trailer and key art for Agatha Christie’s Tommy & Tuppence, which premieres with two episodes September 15th in the U.S. and Canada. BritBox commissioned the series, a six-part adaptation of the Agatha Christie novels and short stories starring Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor, Still Up), Josh Dylan (Buccaneers, Mamma Mia 2) and Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter, the Paddington films). The series is produced by Lookout Point (Pride and Prejudice, Happy Valley), part of BBC Studios, and Agatha Christie Limited.

In the first contemporary English language television adaptation of Agatha Christie’s stories, Tommy and Tuppence are a detective duo for the ages. They fall in love, fall out of it, and tumble back in, all while solving some thrilling, entertaining mysteries along the way.

The cast also includes Nicholas Richardson (Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Younger), Charlie Condou (Dr. Who, Unforgotten), Callie Cooke (F1, Cheaters), and Chizzy Akudolu (Little Disasters, The Woman in the Wall).

The series is written by Phoebe Eclair-Powell (The Road Trip, Harm), who also executive produces, in her first drama series commission for television. Fergus O’Brien (Happy Valley, The Tourist) directs the first four episodes and Ellie Heydon (Outrageous, Trying) the last two. Stella Merz (Miss Austen, Gentleman Jack) produces.

Today, Disney+ announced that the Hulu Original drama series “Furious” has been renewed for a second season. The first season of the critically acclaimed thriller from creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, and star and executive producer Emmy Rossum, is streaming now on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada, with the season finale on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The series has been gaining momentum with viewership growing week over week. Views for episode 7 were up 40% from the premiere (based on 1 day views). The series was Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 100% on its day of launch, and has held strong at 98%.

“Furious” follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer (Lola Petticrew). Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.

The series was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether. Emmy Rossum executive produced for Composition 8, along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman.
