LOOK AT ME is a fictional autobiography about Taylor Olson, a deeply insecure, socially performative, bisexual actor struggling with bulimia. Taylor searches endlessly for validation on his journey to find someone who truly loves and sees him, only to embark on an unwitting journey of self-love in the midst of his eating disorder relapse.

Taylor Olson is a pioneer of the new wave of East-Coast filmmaking, with his films BONE CAGE (which won 37 awards during its run) and the upcoming UNSEEN and his numerous TV works. LOOK AT ME is Olson’s sophomore feature which premiered to rave reviews out of Slamdance and Canadian Film Fest last year. ArtsBeatLA’s Kurt Gardner said “It doesn’t matter what your sexuality is or how you see yourself when you look in the mirror. LOOK AT ME contains universal truths that speak to everyone, and that’s what makes the film so effective.”
Northern Banner release LOOK AT ME February 7, 2025 (with additional cities to be added in the subsequent weeks).
RIP arrives on Netflix Fall 2025, just announced at NEXT ON NETFLIX! Filming just wrapped earlier this week on this exciting new Feature starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Steven Yeun and Kyle Chandler.
“RIP came out of a deeply personal experience that my friend went through, both as a father and as head of tactical narcotics for the Miami Dade police department. It’s inspired in part by his life and then, by my enduring love for those classic 70’s cop thrillers that really valued the character and interpersonal relationships and became touchstones of that era — films like Serpico and Prince Of The City and more recently, Michael Mann’s Heat.”

Today, Netflix announced the return of its global phenomenon, Squid Game, for a third and final season — premiering June 27, 2025. The news arrives alongside exclusive first-look images offering a tantalizing glimpse into the fate of the surviving players in addition to key art that delivers a chilling visual punch: a pink guard drags a bloodied contestant toward a coffin wrapped in a pink ribbon. Gone is the rainbow-hued track of Season 2’s six-legged pentathlon; in its place, a vivid swirling flower-pattern floor ominously foreshadows the cutthroat finale to come. The sinister silhouettes of Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su — first hinted at in last season’s post-credit scene — suggest that even more brutal games lie ahead.
Picking up where the second season left off, Season 3 explores the choices Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) will make amidst overwhelming despair. As the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) plots his next move, the surviving players find their decisions leading to increasingly dire consequences with each round of the deadly games. This season promises to push the limits of suspense and drama, keeping viewers glued to the action.
Squid Game Season 2 became the third most-watched season on Netflix ever, garnering an impressive 68 million views upon its debut — breaking records for the most views in a premiere week — and ranking #1 in the Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) list across 92 countries. As the ultimate chapter unfolds, Season 3 promises to deliver a grand and unforgettable finale.
NETFLIX held their NEXT ON NETFLIX 2025 Preview yesterday in Los Angeles at Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre. A satellite event was held in Toronto at Design Exchange, with an exclusive Canadian content preview appended to the presentation with Netflix Canada‘s Danielle Woodrow and Tara Woodbury. Canadian Comedian Mae Martin gives the Thriller genre a try with their upcoming series WAYWARD and spoke about it for the first time, unable to hide their deep admiration for Co-star Toni Collette. A snippet of new series NORTH OF NORTH also was presented, which Woodrow and Woodbury have very high hopes for.
While The New York Times on the perceived lack of inspiration in Film and Television today, posed the question back in November in an opinion piece titled “Is Creativity Dead?“, Netflix‘s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria had a very confident and short response: “Not at Netflix“.
The streaming giant showcased its exciting upcoming programming slate, which ranges from domestic and international films to series, to sports, and now even gaming. They acknowledge that their big swings might not always lead to reward, but a perfect example of big payoff is Chairman of Netflix Film Dan Lin‘s first ever acquisition for Netflix coming out of Cannes, the now 13-time Oscar-nominated EMILIA PÉREZ. Not a bad start and a hint at bigger things to come ahead.
The Toronto audience got to hear about upcoming projects from the likes of Ben Affleck, John Mulaney, Tina Fey, CM PUNK, Rhea Ripley, and Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers and there’s plenty to be excited about.
Highlights included a sneak peaks at the final season of SQUID GAME which is set to arrive June 27; some riveting footage from Joe Carnahan’s just-wrapped RIP reuniting Ben Affleck and Matt Damon; promising “prestige television” series BLACK RABBIT (starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman) and ZERO DAY (starring Robert De Niro); some spectacular snippets of Guillermo del Toro‘s Toronto-filmed FRANKENSTEIN; a behind-the-scenes look at the final season of more-cinematic-than-ever STRANGER THINGS; plus a couple intriguing series like a Tina Fey series adaptation of the 1981 Film THE FOUR SEASONS, and a series adaptation of Judy Blume‘s 1975 coming-of-age novel, FOREVER. And above this, there was a very riveting snippet of an upcoming Victoria Beckham Documentary which has us pining for more.
