Paramount+ today announced that the highly anticipated second season of the hit original series TULSA KING, starring Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone will premiere on Sunday, September 15 in Canada and the U.S. and across Paramount+ international markets beginning Monday, September 16. The service also debuted a first-look teaser of the new season. Executive produced by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan, Oscar nominee and writer Terence Winter, and multi-award-nominated director Craig Zisk, TULSA KING is currently filming in Oklahoma and Atlanta. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios exclusively for Paramount+.

In season two, Dwight (Stallone) and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.

Paramount+ in Canada today announced that the addictive new thriller, RED EYE, will be available to watch in full on the service in Canada on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Told over an adrenaline-filled six parts, the limited series is a pulse-pounding murder mystery set at 30,000 feet.

When Dr. Matthew Nolan (Richard Armitage) is renditioned to China from the UK, inexplicable deaths onboard the Red Eye flight raise suspicions. Hana Li (Jing Lusi), the police officer escorting Nolan, forms an unlikely alliance from the air, with Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney (Lesley Sharp) and journalist Jess Li (Jemma Moore), Hana’s sister, on the ground as they work together to uncover a wider global conspiracy.

The series – which recently launched in the UK on ITV1 and ITVX to astounding success – was commissioned by ITV’s Head of Drama Polly Hill and is British screenwriter Peter A. Dowling’s (Black and Blue, Flightplan) television debut.

The series is produced by Wales-based production company, Sony Pictures Television-backed Bad Wolf, founded in 2015 by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. Evergreen is launching the summer’s ultimate pop-up dining experience this Friday, June 28 – Outdoor Eats at Evergreen Brick Works! Guests can enjoy the mouthwatering flavours of some of Toronto’s most diverse and exciting food and drink purveyors along with live entertainment among the trees of the Don Valley. Outdoor Eats will be free admission and perfect for all ages (and pets, too)!

Launch day, ongoing festivities and hours of operation

Outdoor Eats’ launch day (June 28, 3:30 – 8:00pm) will include special activities to kick off the series, with music by DJ KIDZERO, opening remarks from team Evergreen, and botanical-themed cocktails courtesy of local premium spirits company Valley of Mother of God Gin and Maison Perrier (non-alcoholic cocktails will also be provided).

After launch day, Outdoor Eats will be serving up mouthwatering dishes every Thursday to Sunday all summer long until September 2, 2024. There will be live busker-style music, new purveyors announced, and Bark Works, a mini market every other Friday from July – August filled with goodies for all the pups visiting, including treats from WREN Brands Snax!

The hours of operation are as follows: Thursdays and Fridays (3:30pm – 8:00pm), Saturdays (1:00pm – 8:00pm), Sundays (11:00am – 6:00pm) and Holidays (July 1 and September 2, 11:00am – 6:00pm).

Happy Hour at Outdoor Eats

Happy Hour will take place every Thursday and Friday from 3:30pm – 6:00pm at the Sipping Container, a repurposed shipping container which is located under the Pavilions. Happy Hour offers include $2 off canned beer and wine in June and July, with $8 batched cocktails in August.

Each food purveyor will bring unique flavours, from Caribbean to Bolivian cuisine. Nana’s Gelato will be Outdoor Eats’ resident gelato provider and will be stationed at a permanent hut throughout the entire series (located right beside the front entrance)! Additionally, Daniel et Daniel will be a fixed purveyor all summer long!

Sustainability at Outdoor Eats

Evergreen is proud to be partnering with three sustainability-driven companies for Outdoor Eats. The wooden huts, where the food purveyors will be stationed, are courtesy of EZ Blocks. The blocks use one hundred percent reusable and recyclable wood from sustainably harvested trees. The decorations for the huts will be done in collaboration with Alicia Thurston from Pop-Up Chapel. Using up-cycled materials, the huts will be colourfully adorned and insta-worthy! All dine-in food at Outdoor Eats will be served on reusable dishware courtesy of Muuse, a reusable dishware company dedicated to ending single-use waste.

Outdoor Eats will take place at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Ave, Toronto ON) at Tiffany Commons and the Pavilions.

Today, Apple TV+ unveiled a first-look at “Disclaimer,” and announced that the seven-episode limited series will make its global debut on Friday, October 11, 2024 with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through November 15, 2024.

“Disclaimer” is a gripping psychological thriller in seven chapters, starring Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, “Disclaimer” is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Renée Knight. Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. Variety Ontario and Substance Cares are thrilled to announce the annual all-inclusive dance party, DanceAble will be returning to Cabana Pool Bar once again on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, marking the event’s seventh year.
