We weren’t sure it was him when we saw him earlier today, but after he noticed us trying to keep up, he stopped and v. kind to do a Snap!

SING STREET takes us back to 1980s Dublin where an economic recession forces Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) out of his comfortable private school and into survival mode at the inner-city public school where the kids are rough and the teachers are rougher. He finds a glimmer of hope in the mysterious and über-cool Raphina, and with the aim of winning her heart he invites her to star in his band’s music videos. Combining Carney’s trademark warmth and humor with a punk rock edge, and featuring a memorable soundtrack with hits from The Cure, Duran Duran, The Police, and Genesis, SING STREET is an electrifying coming-of-age film that will resonate with music fans across the board.

Vancouver’s Shawn Hook is a star on the rise and while he had a few singles play on Canadian airwaves last year, he now is set for the big time. Signed to Hollywood Records (Universal Music) just this winter, Hook‘s catchy new single Sound of Your Heart is gaining traction in the U.S. In fact, listening to Sirius XM last week while test driving the Honda HR-V, we couldn’t stop hearing it and rightfully so, it is tightly-produced pop perfection.
Hook also is a JUNO Award nominee, in the running for the Fan Choice Award. More here.
The 32-year-old Singer/Songwriter was in Toronto earlier today doing the television rounds, with a visit to Breakfast Television in the 6 o’clock hour. He also visited The Morning Show (National Edition) and was amazing to stop of Fans outside, even offering to retake the photo when he thought he blinked.

Charlie Puth certainly is a force to be reckoned with. Signed to Atlantic Records (Warner Music), the 24-year-old from New Jersey surfaced last year and has non-stop since delivered the hits. His first single See You Again (from Furious 7) with Wiz Khalifa garnered him a #1 and three Grammy nods.
Marvin Gaye (ft. Meghan Trainor) was one of songs of summer 2015 and current single One Call Away has shown longevity, currently at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. He is said next to be producing Selena Gomez tracks for her next album.
Puth plays his first ever show in Toronto tonight at The Mod Club, the latest in a tour which has seen him trek through North America by bus. He spent most of his morning doing radio interviews before meeting fans at HMV Underground, signing his debut disc Nine Track Mind and posing for pics with fans before an in-house photographer.
We had the pleasure of meeting Puth twice and he was amazingly nice to stop to take a Selfie being in a rush at KISS 92.5‘s The Roz & Mocha Show and we got to chat more with him at his signing where he was genuine in accepting a compliment about his album. We honestly love it.

See our Highlights of Puth’s day including his HMV Superstore visit and show at The Mod Club:
Puth played an amazing, intimate show with a selection from his debut disc NINE TRACK MIND. It was an experience getting to witness his true musicianship, performing extended endings to some of his material allowing him to scat and do vocal flourishes. The set was v. fan-focused with his audience singing along start to finish. And at one point he even invited one on-stage to perform One Call Away together, transposed into her range!
We also got to meet his Supporting Talent, Sony Music artists Phoebe Ryan and Sophie Beem, the latter whom we’ve been raving about much of late – she was signed by none other than Beyoncé.
