Leaking early, the brand new One Direction Disc Midnight Memories is set to hit stores next week! Showcasing a much more mature sound with a stronger Rock-edge, their brand new Track Diana is an indication of their next phase and it’s a great Track! The ’80s influences are there and it sounds like a fresh Descendant of the Sting and Rick Springfield line. Their Arena-filling Hooks in a short time have become unmistakable.
The Track even has Justin Bieber Tweeting his praises: “that new 1d song diana is well written well done boyzzzzzz”. If that doesn’t light the fire, I don’t know what will!
Within 24 hours of release, the Promotional Single rocketed to #1 on iTunes Charts around the World including Canada, the U.S., Italy, the UK, Australia and more. It would be no surprise if this wound-up being an official Single!
Although it’s been a bit challenging finding it online, you can hear Diana here.

A Superstar has descended upon Toronto. Make that a Megastar, actually. Lady Gaga certainly has been to Toronto many a time in her short, storied rise to the top of the Pop World. Other than to tour though, it’s been quite a while since she’s come to promote an Album and now she’s striking while the iron’s hot. Latest Disc ARTPOP is set to sell over 250k copies in its debut with numbers to be finalized midweek, good enough to make her a clear #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart. The Singer/Songwriter/Visionary/Icon in addition to doing various Sitdowns with Media at her Hotel, came to appear at an intimate Media-free Q&A with Fans, sponsored by the VISA Infinite Card at 99 Sudbury tonight. Although a tad late, she eventually made it out to meet a small group of Radio Contest Winners beforehand at the Venue.
We spotted Gaga arriving at her Hotel earlier today after Insiders told us that her initial flight last night was postponed. Rolling-down the window of her SUV, 30-plus Fans who queued as early as yesterday took delight in seeing their Idol stop to greet them. Elegant in a white Cashmere/Wool Coat and jewel-lens Sunglasses – her hair Marilyn-esque – Gaga was a vision of grace, taking-in some well-deserved love and praise from her Admirers which came in the form of gifts, letters, requests for Autographs and Photos. Meeting Fans new and old, Gaga brought smiles as a calm order was maintained with her accommodating Bodyguards.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve tried a record 15 times for my Gaga Moment, tracing all the way back to the Summer of 2008, but after some tough luck and venomous attempts from others to thwart it from happening, the odds certainly were in my favour at long last. I was in Katniss mode. Overcome with emotion and excitement, I expressed my love for Gaga telling her how much this all meant to me and she told me back “I love you, Will!”, before personalizing a couple of my CDs for me. She even wrote that she loved me on my copy of ARTPOP as a constant reminder that my affections are in fact requited. So starstruck, my stomach was unsettled for a good 45 minutes after, paired with frequent reminders to myself by checking my Camera that all that had taken place was not in fact a dream. It really happened.
Lady Gaga‘s Music to me always has been about self-expression, fearlessness – an Ode to the Underdog and those living life off-center under the guise of a fun Pop sound. I have adored her from the start and will always be a Fan.
Not to make this all about me, this certainly was one of the most pleasant Fan experiences I’ve ever had. Gaga‘s Monsters (as her Fans are called affectionately) had a spirit of co-operation and camaraderie among them, offering to take each other’s Photos and kindly moving-out of one another’s way when required. Several who caught wind of my struggle, came over to give me high-fives and hugs in celebration of the moment. I will never forget the feeling of kindness shared by all who partook in the moment. I even got stopped a couple times on the street this weekend by others who read my Blog, sending me well-wishes knowing what this meant to me. The love and support was felt deeply.

And at long, long, long last here is the “famed” Snap!

Last night was Lady Gaga‘s first official time hosting NBC‘s Saturday Night Live after multiple appearances in previous years as a Musical Guest… and she was phenomenal! Absolutely born for the stage!
Among the several highlights last night were some hilarious Sketches which saw her acknowledging criticism from her harshest Detractors. Fully aware of the Madonna comparisons, Gaga appeared on a Sketch about the worst Cover Versions of all time, with her performing her Hit Born this Way while the words Express Yourself were captioned on the Screen. Sometimes the greatest Singers make mistakes!
Watch:
In addition to this, Gaga poked fun at rumours of her declining popularity with a Sketch which sees her in the year 2063 as an older version of herself, hoping with all her might a Delivery Man (Kenan Thompson) would be be starstruck by her presence. Let’s just say he’s a huge Fan of Empress Beyoncé.
Watch:
Gaga also dropped a few jaws, bringing R. Kelly on-stage for a surprise rendition of current Single Do What U Want. There was plenty of crawling, laying, bumping and grinding to be seen.
Watch:
If there was any doubt Gaga is still a huge Megastar, see her stopping traffic following her appearance last night outside NBC‘s Studios.

The Action-Fantasy starring Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, continues to power-on for Disney in its second week, although it certainly wasn’t an easy victory.

Its Predecessor in its debut managed only to muster $9 million and in its theatrical run made actually $34 million also domestically. Reviews have been positive for the Film which stars a talented Cast including Nia Long, Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs and Regina Hall, with Critics giving it 64% on the Tomatometer, while earning a rare and coveted A+ CinemaScore from Audiences.
CBS Films/eOne Films’ Last Vegas continues to go strong in its third week with $8.8 earned this weekend, its third week out, just ahead of Animated Feature, Free Birds in fourth with $8.3 million.
Oscar-contending 12 Years a Slave expands to 1,411 theatres, garnering $4.6 million for Fox Searchlight in eighth spot. Domestically, it has grossed $30 million in its run thus far.
About Time rounds-out the Top Ten for Universal Pictures with $3.1 million in its third week out.
Playstation and Saturday Night Live. Why yes, of course! Saturday Night Live Alumni Chris Kattan made a rare appearance in the City today, here to ring-in the launch of the latest incarnation of popular Gaming Console, Playstation 4.
The Funnyman appeared at Future Shop Yonge & Dundas this afternoon, signing Autographs and taking Photos with Fans, adding a little Starpower to the Affair, which saw Fans queuing as early as yesterday to get their hands on the Device first! The PS4 promises increased interactivity, able to sync with Smartphones and Tablets as a second screen. A majority of games now also will be compatible with wireless Remote Play.
Kattan last night appeared at a Cancer Benefit held at the Toronto Centre for the Arts in North York with fellow SNL Alumni Horatio Sanz and Rob Schneider.
In addition to being known for his phenomenal work on SNL, adored for his Characters including irresistible and androgynous Mango, Audiences have loved him as a Writer and an Actor in hit Comedies like A Night at the Roxbury and for his performances in an array of Films like House on Haunted Hill and the under-appreciated Corky Romano.
Despite his eccentricities, the Los Angeles Native was generous with Fans today, staying beyond his allotted hour to greet them, fitting-in the occasional TV and Radio Interview in-between, carefully plugging-in the PS4 every opportunity he had!
