We remember spending our New Year’s Day going hardcore on this and we cannot wait to do it all again! A release date has been set for long-awaited MAKING A MURDERER: PART 2.
Synopsis:
“Steven and Brendan, their families and their legal and investigative teams have once again graciously granted us access, giving us a window into the complex web of American criminal justice,” said executive producers, writers and directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos. “Building on Part 1, which documented the experience of the accused, in Part 2, we have chronicled the experience of the convicted and imprisoned, two men each serving life sentences for crimes they maintain they did not commit. We are thrilled to be able to share this new phase of the journey with viewers.”
Part 2 introduces viewers to Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s hard-charging postconviction lawyer, in her fight to prove that Avery was wrongly convicted and win his freedom. Ricciardi and Demos follow Zellner, who has righted more wrongful convictions than any private attorney in America, as she tirelessly works the case and uncovers unexpected evidence about what may have happened to Teresa Halbach and about how and why the jury convicted Steven of her murder.

Synopsis:
With tensions between the North and Southside at an all-time high—stoked by Hiram Lodge with the help of Reggie Mantle (Charles Melton), and intensified with the Black Hood’s unexpected re-emergence—a civil war seemed imminent. In season three, it’s the start of Junior year and the gang is forced to think about something new—their future. But with Hiram now in control of the Southside, Archie on trial for murder, and complicated romantic relationships forming, fans can expect a gripping start to the new season.

English Actor Tom Hopper has been hard at work in Toronto balancing filming Netflix’s upcoming Adpatation of THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY and family life back home. While the Series based on My Chemical Romance Frontman Gerard Way‘s Comic Books is set to wrap in about a month we thought we’d never see the star! Hopper plays one of the principal characters, Luther.
We spotted the Actor out and about King West going for a walk. Just yesterday his Castmates and he were out at the Field Trip Festival dancing to the grooves of Damien Marley at Fort York!
In addition to roles on Black Sails, The Adventures of Merlin and Game of Thrones, Hopper last was seen this spring in Amy Schumer Comedy I FEEL PRETTY!
We totally weren’t ready for this spotting, which was completely random. Hopper was amazing to stop for a Selfie!

A little later in the day we spotted star of Haven, ER, Brothers & Sisters and Graceland, Emily Rose. Although it isn’t yet announced what she’s filming here in Toronto, we’re sure her fans are excited to see her return! She also was super-sweet to stop for a Snap!

SCTV forever has left a legacy behind on Television, becoming a blueprint for Sketch Comedy during its run from 1976 to 1984. The Series made household names of Martin Short, Andrea Martin, Rick Moranis, John Candy, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty, Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, launching long and lasting careers.
In celebration of the iconic Series, Netflix is producing an upcoming as-yet-untitled Special commemorating SCTV. To make it just right, Academy Award-winning Director Martin Scorsese has been enlisted to take the reins and Funnyman Jimmy Kimmel took a quick break from his busy schedule to come to Toronto to moderate the Special, which was taped over three hours at historic Elgin Theatre.
While we often see some of the Cast on Red Carpets locally, having them reunite together on-stage is something remarkable and rare. Preparations began last Friday as the Production Crew began set-up for the Special with finishing touches and rehearsals being done Saturday and early this morning.
We still are pinching our self that we got Selfies with Scorsese and Kimmel. We’ve been lucky in the past to cross paths with some of the Cast prior, several who stayed late to celebrate at the venue.
See our Snaps:
We can’t wait to see this Special having grown-up giggling at some of the outlandish humour for which SCTV came to be known and loved!
