Director/Writer Ron Dias‘ latest Feature, MORNINGSIDE is a love letter to Scarborough and got a big welcome last night at Scarborough Town Centre with the community showing up. The Drama sees various stories intersecting, and at the heart of the story is a theme of community set against a backdrop of change and gun violence. Starring are Joanne Jansen (who co-wrote the Script), Kiana Madeira, Lovell Adams-Gray, Fefe Dobson, Alex Mallari Jr, Olunike Adeyili and more.
Prior to the Film’s Premiere at Cineplex Scarborough Town Centre, a Q&A was held where Dias and the Cast appeared on-stage, drawing a large crowd of spectators and support. Also available was a one-day pop-up by Scarborough Spots featuring merchandise from the Film.

Proudly-Canadian, a new Trailer for CODE 8: PART II, starring cousins Robbie and Stephen Amell, has just been released!
Synopsis:
In this sequel to Code 8, Connor (Robbie Amell) is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center, having cut ties with his former criminal associate Garrett (Stephen Amell). Connor’s attempt at staying out of trouble is destroyed when he’s forced to help 14-year-old Pav (Sirena Gulamgaus) escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King (Alex Mallari Jr.). King uses the newly launched robotic K9’s to track Pav down, while Connor finds himself once again reaching out to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who landed him in prison in the first place?
