In addition, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” filmed in Vancouver, B.C. will debut on Disney+ December 12. The 2025 MAZDA3 GT is a Sedan that combines comfort with performance, meaning it is perfect for your everyday drive and whatever obstacles are placed before it! We had the pleasure of testing this gem in a stunning Snowflake White Pearl, with a striking dual-tone black and garnet red interior. It is powered by a Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission engine with manual-shift mode, Drive Selection switch and paddle shifters. A smooth ride that ticks all the boxes.
Some noteworthy new additions to the model include from prior renditions:
– Alexa Built-in function added
– Mazda Online Navigation added
– Wheel finish changed from Light Grey High Lusture to Silver Metallic
The Sedan’s Entertainment features are elevated, including Bose® premium sound system with 12-speakers. SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (complimentary 3-month trial subscription). AM/FM/HD Radio (which we got to figure out finally), and USB ports (2) – Type C (fast charging) ports to ensure you always stay connected. It also connects via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well, enabling you the ability to navigate directions from your phone, enjoy Spotify playlists, plus also have your text messages read out to you while you drive. All this is navigated through a sizable 10.3″ display.
Mazda shows are incredible concern for driver and passenger safety. Active safety features here include:
-Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR) and this is particularly handy with back-to-school and speed limit enforcement
-Smart Brake Support Rear (SBS-R)
-Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing (SBS-RC)
-Front and rear parking sensors
-Windshield-projected colour Active Driving Display (ADD)
-360° View Monitor and rearview camera and rear-seat reminders so nobody gets left behind!
-Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)
The Mazda3 GT is full of intuitive features designed to make the Driver’s user experience more simplified. These include:
-Advanced keyless entry (proximity and ignition)
-a very reactive Walk-Away Door Lock
-Exterior mirrors linked with memory seat function
-Frameless rearview mirror with auto-dimming
-HomeLink® wireless control system
-Engine starter button (bright ring detail)
The Driver also gets Driver’s seat memory function, 10-way power adjustment with lumbar support, and both Driver and front passenger get the heated seats as well, which will be very handy in upcoming months. Our passengers appreciated having dual climate zones as everyone has different definitions of comfort. And did we mention a power moonroof for ambient drives as well? The Mazda3 GT feels spacious and above that there’s plenty of cargo in the trunk for your everyday errands and hauls.
With a 48 litre fuel tank, you get a Fuel Economy 10.1, 7.3 and 8.8 litres/100 km, which isn’t bad especially with a slight drop in gas prices of late.
Some notes we made during our Test Drive. We felt the vehicle shaky occasionally, particularly when waiting at lights, though this wasn’t a major issue. We also found it cumbersome at times once connected to the car via Android Auto, to come out of it and go into AM/FM radios. Occasionally, we’d have to restart the car completely to be able to get to navigate AM/FM radio. Also, with our days running shorter at this time of the year, we found that the auto headlights and brightness on our display were running a bit dark after sunset. Again, not major issues but small tweaks would make a world of difference.
Some highlights from our action-packed Test Drive:
Regardless, the 2025 Mazda3 GT offers super value at its suggested retail price of $38,450 CAN. More here.

Multi-platinum Canadian rock powerhouse Billy Talent has officially released their Amazon Music Original cover of the legendary Rush anthem, “Limelight.” Recorded for Prime Monday Night Hockey, which streams all national regular season Monday night games on Prime Video in Canada, the song fuses Billy Talent’s signature urgent intensity with the progressive rock majesty of the original track, linking two generations of Canadian rock greatness with the country’s national sport. Available to stream now, the Amazon Music Original will be featured throughout Prime Monday Night Hockey’s 2025-26 season broadcast, exclusively on Prime Video in Canada.
Listen to the song here and learn more about Prime Monday Night Hockey, here.
The band approached the project with immense reverence for Rush’s enduring legacy. Lead singer Ben Kowalewicz spoke to the significance of the opportunity: “It’s such an honour for us to be asked to cover Rush. They are, without a doubt, one of the greatest Canadian bands of all time, and ‘Limelight’ is a classic.” He also reflected on the challenge of reinterpreting the iconic vocals, saying, “Geddy Lee had such a silky approach to his vocal, which was beautiful. I tried my best to lend some of what I was doing to that, paying homage to it, but also you have to sing it and you gotta feel it in your own way too, so I think it’s a good balance of how I sang and trying to do the song justice.”
Guitarist Ian D’Sa said: “It couldn’t be more Canadian for us to cover Rush’s ‘Limelight’ for Prime Monday Night Hockey. I’ve been listening to this song since I was a kid, and I always wanted to learn Alex [Lifeson’s] parts because it contains three of my favourite Alex riffs of all time. They are just crazily inventive, unique parts that only Alex Lifeson could write, and it was such a fun thing to learn for me as a guitar player.”
Bassist Jon Gallant adds, “It was just sitting down an hour or two every day and going through the song over and over until I could precisely hear everything that Geddy Lee was doing and just tried to copy it almost exactly.”
Billy Talent is one of Canada’s most successful bands. They have sold nearly one million albums in Canada alone and nearly 3 million albums internationally and have over 2 billion global streams across their catalogue. They have won 7 Juno Awards and have been nominated 23 times, including three nods for Afraid of Heights (Group of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Ian D’Sa for Producer of the Year). Their most recent studio album Crisis of Faith debuted at #1 in Germany, #8 in Canada, and had three singles hit the #1 spot at Canadian rock radio which combined to spend a total of 21 weeks atop the Canadian Rock radio chart.
Funnyman Adam Sandler brought the laughs to Scotiabank Arena this weekend as part of this I’M YOUR BEST FRIEND Tour! Supported by Comedy legends Rob Schneider and Kevin Nealon, Sandler gave Toronto fans an exact reminder why they love “The Sandman” so much. And it makes sense he has such an affinity with our City having filmed many a movie here, including BILLY MADISON, PIXELS, and more recently YOU’RE SO NOT INVITED TO ME BAT MITZVAH!
The Show combined his musical talents, and a mix of raunchy and silly humour bringing the audience to stitches, whether he was joking about intimate moments with his wife Jackie (who joined him on stage!), the annoyances of parenting, the Gen Z “Broccoli Haircut” which several young men are rocking these days, or paying tribute to legends of Comedy, including his dear friend Chris Farley. The Show was the right mix of hilarity and sentiment, showcasing Sandler’s wide range of talents.
Sandler took a moment to showcase his daughter Sunny‘s singing abilities, accompanying her on guitar also, thanking the crowd for being supportive of her.
Some highlights from the night, including a rendition of “Endless Love” from HAPPY GILMORE, with surprise guest Kevin James!
